We moved to Palm Coast, FL from MA in August of 2024. We had a new home built, and were very anxious to have a pool installed. We did research on several area pool builders that included reading customer reviews, word of mouth reviews, and even viewing some actual pool installations. Following this research, we narrowed our choices down to two companies. We put a call in to both companies, and requested drawings of what we had described (a free form pool with a jacuzzi, pavers and screen enclosure). Exquisite Pools responded immediately and presented a computer generated drawing of what we requested. The other company responded back with a drawing of a rectangular pool (NOT AT ALL what we asked for). We spoke again with each company asking for some minor revisions from Exquisite, and TOTAL revisions from the other company. Exquisite again responded immediately with the requested updates. The other company returned a second drawing of a 3-straight sided pool with one free form side added. Our minds were made up right then and there. If you aren't listening to us at this early stage in the process, we have no confidence that we would have a successful outcome with this other company. We therefore chose Exquisite Pool & Spa and entrusted them with this crucial and expensive project. Butch Eaton was our sales representative. He was excellent to work with, and extremely knowledgeable and informative throughout the entire process. Butch took us through the permitting process, and as soon as the permitting was completed, the project work immediately began. Dave Proctor was our assigned Superintendent. He was right on top of the project right through to completion, and organized the various work trades in an order that kept things flowing along beautifully. We were very impressed with the ongoing communication, and the ability to easily reach these folks to obtain answers to our questions. Each and every specialized work crew were reliable, knowledgeable, well organized, respectful of our property and worked neatly and efficiently. While we apologize for not being able to obtain the names of EVERY single worker on our project, we would like to do a shout out and a BIG THANK YOU to: Chris & Jose (pool diggers), Chris (pumbing), Mark & Shane (tiling), Mundo & Luis & Crew (screen enclosure), Benjamin (gunnite), Jason & Colt (trim, lights, grab bar, granite), Braden, Miguel, Sergio, Nasario & Joel. We also want to give a special thanks to Colt for our "pool school" training. He was patient, knowledgeable and thorough. He left us feeling comfortable and confident in our ability to take over the care and maintenance of our beautiful pool. We lastly wish to thank Kylie (office manager) for her work on our project and her fine communications. In summary, we would not hesitate to recommend Exquisite Pool & Spa to anyone seeking a quality and reliable pool builder. Our project continued to move forward positively and efficiently, and was actually completed in record time, much to our delight. The finished project is just beautiful, and we have already received numerous compliments on it in a short time. We are thoroughly enjoying our beautiful outdoor space and look forward to sharing it's beauty with family and friends for years to come. THANK YOU SO MUCH EXQUISITE POOLS & SPA💙
Recently we hired Exquisite pools a family owned and operated business located in Deland. Our pool was becoming an eyesore with staining and pool tiles falling off due to poor workmanship. I had a lot of anxiety about what it would take to totally redo the pool entirely knowing the amount of work would be extensive. Fortunately we hired Exquisite Pools. Once the contract was agreed on and materials selected work started promptly within 2 weeks. The process of tearing out all the old tile, replacing with the new tile progressed rapidly with minimal delays. As soon as the teardown was completed the tile person started the next day and stayed on the job until completed approx. 1 week. The same efficient follow up with plaster prep and final plaster application virtually no delays. Our project was assigned a project manager Jessica who was wonderful. you never had to wait long for an answer to a question or to know timing of next steps. Near the end of the project we had an issue with one of the water features which was managed by Colt a true expert when it comes to pool construction. We and Exquisite were lucky to have such a high level of expertise when a problem arose. The staff at Exquisite Pools across the board were terrific and always helpful. Building or rebuilding a pool is stressful and there are plenty of horror stories to be found on projects that didn't go well. I cant imagine a better result for our project. I highly recommend this company if you are planning to remodel or build a pool. Thank you to the staff at Exquisite Pools
So happy we choose Exquisite Pools After much research we decided that we wanted a fiberglass pool. But we also realized that we needed a highly experienced company to install it. We spoke with several friends and neighbors, some had bad experiences with the builders they choose. But our friends with great experiences used Exquisite Pools. So we did more research and read every review we could find. We are so glad that we choose Exquisite Pools. From the sales drawings by Butch to the construction overseer, Dave, we were happy with the professionalism and attention to detail. Butch’s suggestions regarding orientation and location of the pool, the placement of the screen doors and other details were spot on! We’re glad we listened to his voice of experience. As with most construction projects unexpected situations occur. In our case it was weather and a few other complications but Dave took it all in stride and handled the situations well, in fact, it was finished with over a month to spare before their promised date. Thank you all at Exquisite Pools. We will, without hesitation, recommend you to our friends and family.
Exquisite did a fabulous job installing our new pool and deck. At first we were overwhelmed by the project and the number of preparation and completion items we need to complete before and after construction. However, we found that the contract provided a great checklist for planning. The final completion and inspection took longer than we anticipated but much of that delay was caused by the city of Palm Coast and their inability to complete inspections in a timely fashion. We have received many compliments from family and friends about the beautiful pool environment that was created in our back yard and we look forward to many happy and enjoyable experiences.Butch Eaton helped us design the pool and the result was fabulous. David Procter supervised the project. We do think he was spread too thin with many other jobs. Colt Dewhirst was an excellent teacher and technical consultant when we had issues. Don Millett interfaced well with the survey company and the city inspectors. They made a great team.
Final Update - After 9 months, we finally have our backyard back. As promised, I have a star back because the owner, Don, was great once we took over trying to get the problems fixed. My suggestion if you choose this company, ask who your foreman is going to be, how often they visit your site, how often they communicate to you and hold the company to that. Update after 2 months- still do not have a pool. Screen was installed wrong so it had to be taken down and redone, accent piece was forgotten in the plaster, still waiting on water bowls to be installed and salt water package to get installed. They require you to pay EVERYTHING except $500 after the floor is done so I am out luck, just hoping I get a finished product 🤞 It's heartbreaking reading all the positive comments and I'm experiencing the complete opposite 😔 Butch was amazing selling us the pool (that's why I gave the 2 stars for him) after we were turned over to build, the communication stopped. I have to initiate to find out what's going on. Our permit was approved in June, we are still sitting with just the shell and our travertine sitting since July in the yard. The issues that have happened with the vendors (garbage, damage - they said they will fix the fence, however water is still pouring in our foundation because the 'fix' the damaged downspout was not done correct and was not checked on after) have only been addressed after I emailed the pictures and made them aware. It is so disappointing having 75% of your pool paid (after plumbing) for and we just hope it gets better.
They build nice pools but they are higher than the others I checked out. I went with Exquisite because they told us all work was done in house. Meaning...no sub contractors. Great right? Not the case at all. For example the people who did our screen was a sub contractor and I now have a problem with the gutters put on with the screen. When I called for service and to correct the faulty screen / gutters I was told it would be atleast 4 weeks before they could even come out to look at it. That is unacceptable to me because this problem with standing water in my gutters could go the other way and void the warranty I have on my brand new roof. We had several issues with scheduling and the only time we saw project manager was to come and pick up a check. If he had managed the job and did weekly checks atleast then my faulty screens should've/would've been known before this issue. So although they build a nice pool I would not recommend Exquisite pools. I was worried and hoped to not ever have to call them for service for this very reason....I have to wait 4 weeks or more to get someone out. Just wanted to share my experience because it wasn't a good experience for the higher price we chose to pay. I filed a complaint with BBB and I suggest to anyone who has issues with this company to do the same. I feel strongly that they don't deserve an A+ rating. Atleast not until they fix my issue. They lied to us
