About 4 months ago G and S installed 2 custom pool hand rails in our new pool and spa. Their price was fair. Customer service was excellent. A pleasure to work with. The process took about 2 months from picking out the rails, ordering them (custom order) to installation. G and S gave us sample rails to take home to see what we liked. The owner came out to see out pool/Spa and give his advice as to the positon of the rails and what type worked best. They were more helpfull than any other company including various Pinch a Penny stores. We got the best advice from G and S and were very confident and comfortable with them. It worked out fine. Their installer, again family of the owner, did a very good job. Very conscenious, took his time and patient as I watched and asked many pool questions. This doesn't seem to be the type of company to screw people as reviewer Sarah is suggesting. My question to Sarah is how old was the pump? As I recall life expectancy of a pool pump is only approx 3 -5 years. Perhaps working on it triggered a failure that was destined to happen at any moment.
First time in the store and I was impressed with their customer service. I purchased a Dolphin S200 robotic pool cleaner and their price was very competitive with online merchants. The big plus is if there are any issues I can bring it back to the store instead of having to ship. I already had to call as the instructions on setup needed further instruction and they helped me quickly...the unit is working perfectly. I did a lot of research on robotic pool cleaners and this one model always seems to come up as highly reliable without spending for a lot of bells and whistles that I will never use. Thanks G&S for a great experience. Three year update...my Maytronics Dolphin S200 quit on me. I did not use it very much, but it still did not last. Tried to get someone at Maytronics to help me but this was very frustrating as no one picks up the phone.
Extremely helpful! When my pool motor stopped working and I was troubleshooting they proved very helpful. At first I thought it could be the capacitor. They didn’t have it in stock and directed me to an electrical sales location that had it in stock. I ended up having to replace the motor and they went out of their way to get me setup with a diffuser and all the necessary gaskets. More importantly, they took time to walk me through important steps in making sure it was installed properly. Highly recommend.
I had issue with my Pentair Screen logic app where I had trouble with it communicating with it on my local network to the controls after Spectrum updated my modem. It worked ok if I selected remote as if I were gone. I tried everything. They sent Wesley out to fix it and he had no issues communicating with it. So he had me update my app in case there were updates I didn’t have so I removed my app and downloaded it again. BOOM! Worked like it always had. Highly recommend them.
It was determined we had a leak in our waterfall. They came out to replace it and in the process our pool pump randomly stopped working at the same time. They tried to sell me a new one which had been working completely fine upon their arrival. I called the receptionist who started yelling at me about how they have been in business for over 40 yrs which led to the owner calling me. At one point saying I hope a lightbulb went out inside your home at the same time as this happening while we were there is the same type of coincidence. I asked if he thought he was being funny as I’m obviously upset with a significant additional expense. I had been pleased with the company up until this point however I’m beyond disappointed with the way they handled this situation. I do not deserve to be talked down to especially when their employees were the one touching the pump when it happened. I think it could’ve been easily resolved with an offer of discount or assistance towards the added expense of pump repair instead he was saying things to me like if you take your car to get gas and the battery dies it’s not the gas stations fault. I would never recommend supporting a business that treats their customers like idiots.
Expensive service , almost price gouging. Quoted over $600 for a 20-30 minute job installing a $200 pool motor, so $400 labor for 30 mins. Probably taking advantage of the older, unable to DIY population.
