My wife and I have been in the service and repair part of the pool industry for over 35 years. I've used Summit pools especially after hurricanes to clean up and change out equipment that were flooded by storm surge as most of our clients were at downtown locations. We've always know them to be efficient. However this review has to do with our recent experience on our own pool. We recently retired and within a week I had a fall, and have been laid up for over 6 weeks. We needed some renovations to our pool, Hugo came out and by the next day a crew was over, having nothing to do I watched the 3 workers from my chair from 9am to 5 pm, I have never seen such industrious men in my years of doing buisness. They had no supervision except for a couple of brief visits but they worked nonstop. Had lunch went back to work. No loud music no standing around talking. Hugo has a great team working for him. They cleaned up after themselves were very respectful. I would recommend this company to anyone.
We were thrilled with our newly renovated pool from Summit Pools, and our original review reflected that. The renovation itself was excellent. Summit handled the first month of pool maintenance (at an additional cost), and after 30 days we were told everything looked good and that we could return to our regular pool company. About a month later, black patches and spots began appearing on the walls and floor. When we contacted Summit, we were told the chemicals needed another month to balance and that the pH needed to be kept lower. Unfortunately, we were never given those instructions when the project was originally completed. Summit returned for another month of service (which also cost extra), but the stains remain. We were then told the problem was our pool company's fault, and Summit's proposed solution is a $1,200 acid wash that may or may not fix the issue. If Summit Pools would have told us to maintain the specific pH value so the walls and floor would properly cure, then we would have done exactly that. But Summit Pools failed to inform us about the proper aftercare and now we have black stains in our pool. We are extremely disappointed with Summit Pool’s failure to communicate the necessary post renovation care requirements. While Summit did an excellent job refinishing our pool, we were never told about the special care the new finish required, and every attempt to resolve the problem has resulted in additional charges. Based on our experience, we can no longer recommend Summit Pools.
Summit pools just completed our dream pool, and I have been looking forward to writing this review since the beginning of the project. I had no prior pool experience other than gathering details and recommendations from neighbors, family and friends. I reached out to 4 pool companies for a quote and went with Summit ultimately based on their outstanding Google reviews and the initial site visit/proposal from Leo. One of the key sellers for me with Summit was their commitment that they will take care of all aspects of the pool project including dealing with the landscaping and my sprinkler system, etc. Leo stated, "when we are done, your property will look exactly the same, except you will have a new beautiful pool". Summit exceeded that commitment. The pool is complete and I have nothing but HUGE praise to give to Curtis, Leo, and all the Summit teams that built my pool. Just about all aspect of Summit's work is done by them, so minimal subcontracting and you can tell it by their high-quality standards. Their work ethics are top notch. They were here at 8AM and worked hard all day, every day from the first day to the last. They were not just doing a "job", they were all craftsmen and you could they took pride in their craft. I work from home, so I was lucky to be able to watch most of the project being completed and I was so impressed with the level of skill and detail that was being displayed. Every team did such an amazing job throughout the process and communication was practically on a daily basis. I should also note, we passed every single county inspection without issue. I never realized a pool could be so beautiful, but Summit created a work of art that my wife and I will enjoy forever. If you are looking for a new pool, I promise you will not find a better company than Summit. I had high expectations, and they blew them away!! Thank Curtis, Leo and everyone at Summit for completing our Oasis.
poor project management. poor communication skills. bad billing experience . poor customer service support. and according to them it is standard business practice to dig a hole in your yard to dispose concrete waste from the project. I cannot imagine any business owners being ok with this and if any understood that is standard business practice. Doesn't fly too well in a HOA especially when it is in a flower bed .
> "We recently partnered with Summit for a renovation of our 30-year-old pool, and the results are exceptional. The project was complex, involving the detection and repair of five separate leaks, yet the team handled it with high expertise. > From our initial consultation, Hugo established a high level of trust and professionalism that set Summit apart from the competition. Not only was their pricing highly competitive, but the execution was seamless. Ryan provided attentive customer service throughout the duration of the project, while Cirillo’s project management ensured we were consistently informed and updated. We also appreciated Deborah’s design insights, which were instrumental in achieving the aesthetic we wanted. > We are thrilled with the transformation and would highly recommend Summit to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality pool company. We needed to renovate our +20 year old pool and surrounding pool deck. We received quotes from 5 different pool contractors. Based on the recommendations from neighbors in our community, we decided to go with Summit Pools and could not have been happier with our choice. Our initial contact was with Claudia and Hugo at the office/showroom for the pool options we wanted (which included replacing the automated pool control system, enlarging the spa spillway, adding step to the inside and outside of the spa along with a railing, installing a bench on the deep end of the pool, and the selection of materials for the project. The renovation was scheduled and started on time. The different specialty crews were great. They showed up early in the morning to set up each day, got started and worked until late afternoon with minimal breaks and a staggered lunch. At the end of each day, they cleaned up and packed up the equipment. The last person typically left around 6pm. They seemed to enjoy their work, with the crew helping each other out when needed. Coordination of the delivery of materials, inspection of each day’s progress and the updates to us of next day's tasks were made daily by the project supervisors Curtis and Leo. They were easy to work with and when we did hit an occasional hiccup (with a project this size, one is bound to run into something), they addressed the issue immediately. We were able to communicate face to face or by phone/text to ask questions or get additional information/clarification. When the project was completed, the pool deck, windows in the lanai and pool screens were pressure washed and the new decking was sealed. Definitely would use them again (not sure I will ever needed to!) and will continue to recommend Summit Pools to my neighbors.
