⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our pool project was definitely not an easy one. It seemed like it was one thing after another, but importantly, none of those issues were Cliff’s Pools’ fault. We discovered our neighbor’s underground power line was actually running through our backyard, which turned into an ordeal with FPL, and then dealing with the City of Hollywood and the permitting process created even more delays and headaches. Through all of it, Cliff’s Pools was great. Sammie especially deserves recognition. Her communication was outstanding throughout the entire process. She was patient, responsive, understanding of our frustration, and always kept us informed about what was happening. When you have a project with this many unexpected problems, having someone who actually communicates and works with you makes a huge difference. Jorge was equally impressive when it came to the actual work on the pool. He did an awesome job, was professional, paid attention to the details, and the finished pool came out great. This was one of those projects where just about everything that could complicate it seemed to happen, but Cliff’s Pools stuck with us and got it across the finish line. We’re extremely happy with the end result and really appreciate Sammie and Jorge for everything they did. Absolutely a 5-star experience with Cliff’s Pools.
I fired this company this morning. They almost killed me;quite literally. About 10 days ago. I contacted them to redo my Pool and mentioned that the pool lights were shorted out. CJ told me that they would not repair the electrical shorts because, despite the fact that it was connected and relating to the lights and wave machine, it was “like installing a heli-port”. I contacted a separate contractor. They were stunned to find that the lights and wave machine were improperly installed and maintained and that I was lucky to be alive. At best Cliffs Pools was incredibly stupid. At worst they were guilty or Gross negligence in installing and maintaining my pool and its electrical components. Do not use this company. For anything at any time.
I hired Cliff’s for a massive whole-yard renovation, and I am pleased to say they exceeded my expectations. The project included a new custom pool and raised spa, a quartzite feature wall with water features, floating steps, ‘baja’ shelf with mosaics, custom pergolas, and mud-set 2’x4’ porcelain pavers covering almost the entire yard. Before starting, I spoke with five contractors and heard a lot of "you can't do that” or “we don’t do that”. Cliff’s was the only one who said they could execute every aspect of my vision, engineering creative solutions for complex structural challenges. I chose Cliff’s—and heartily give them five stars—for a few key reasons: • Solutions-Oriented: I never heard "we can't do that," only "let's figure out how." • Communication: Highly responsive, even accommodating my heavy travel schedule and navigating supply chain delays with me . • Deep Expertise: With 35+ years of experience, including pool remodeling, they know what can go wrong and how to build accordingly. They have a deep bench of skilled tradespeople can handle truly unique, custom work. • Value & Quality: They aren't the cheapest upfront, but doing it right the first time with a highly skilled team saves money, time, and a lot of headaches in the long run. • Zero Finger-Pointing: They managed every trade (pool, pavers, pergolas) seamlessly. In firms like this, the people make the difference. A huge shout-out to Sammie, Jorge, and Humberto for their absolute professionalism and technical expertise. Even months after the project was completed and paid in full, they still respond immediately if I have a question. I highly recommend them
First, I have to say I want to keep Cliff’s Pools a secret. YES! They did an amazing job. YES! The price was in line with my expectations and other quotes. YES! They were incredible to work with. Honestly, I just don’t want them to get so busy that I can’t use them again if I need to. The Estimate: I put off resurfacing my pool longer than I wanted because I assumed it would be expensive, stressful, and time-consuming. All of those concerns disappeared when I met with Steve. Budget was important to me, and he took the time to explain what absolutely needed attention, what was recommended, and what could wait. While he presented some tempting upgrades, there was never any pressure. He set realistic expectations and explained potential costs for issues that couldn't be seen until work started. I wasn't looking for the cheapest company. I wanted a company that would do the job right, charge a fair price, and still be there if I needed help later. With Cliff’s, that's exactly how I felt. The Project Management: Once the contract was signed and deposit paid, I was handed over to Jonae, who managed the project from start to finish. She was my point of contact for everything and always let me know several days in advance what was happening next. I honestly cannot express how wonderful it was working with Jonae. Her communication, coordination, knowledge, and just plain kindness were far beyond what I’ve come to expect from many South Florida companies. She turned something I was dreading into a straightforward process that exceeded my expectations. Seriously, I felt like I could have had a breakdown over this project, and she made it feel like just another easy day at the office. The Actual Work: My mind was a blur during construction, so I feel bad that I can’t remember everyone's names. I believe Vinny handled the demolition and prep work. Watching someone spend long summer days grinding away the old Diamond Brite in the Florida heat gave me a new appreciation for how tough this work is. After demolition, there were a couple of areas that needed repair, and both were fixed as part of the original contract. The tile work, scratch coat, and overall preparation were excellent. Despite the physically demanding work, everyone remained friendly and willing to answer my questions. The final Diamond Brite was completed in a single day. Going from a pool I was embarrassed by to something that looked brand new in about a week was incredibly exciting. The “Fire-Up”: Steve explained the filling process and what to expect during the first 30 days. I was impressed that they attached a filter to the water supply to keep contaminants out during filling. Jonae even sent me information about requesting a municipal water credit. If you're not prepared, seeing the pool filled with cloudy green water can be alarming, but it clears up quickly with proper care. I considered handling the startup process myself but am very glad I added it to the project. Every other day, the team checked the water chemistry, brushed the pool, and monitored the equipment. Watching the water slowly transform from green to crystal-clear turquoise was like watching a flower bloom. Even though I normally maintain my own pool, I highly recommend letting their team handle the startup period. The End: I’m genuinely thrilled that I chose Cliff’s Pools. It’s rare to find a company filled with honest, hardworking, talented people who truly care about their customers. I never felt like I overpaid. Instead, I felt like I paid a fair price for exceptional work and service. Most importantly, I have peace of mind knowing my pool looks beautiful again and that I didn’t create bigger problems by continuing to delay the project. Money very well spent with a company that was an absolute pleasure to work with.
We decided, after over 20 years, to put in new pavers around our pool. It's refreshing to work with a company that truly delivers on its promises. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and committed to quality from start to finish and kept us informed every step of the way, and patiently answered every question we had. The installation crew was absolutely incredible. Their precision and attention to detail were almost unbelievable, the cutting of the pavers was precise, they fit together like a puzzle. It was obvious they take tremendous pride in their work. Everything was measured, installed, and finished with exceptional care, and they left the area spotless when they were done. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding workmanship and exceptional customer service. The pavers we chose surprised me because when I walked on them in the hot sun 92 degrees at 2p, you could actually walk with no shoes and not burn the bottom of your feet or our dogs paws, extra perk to the beauty of the pavers! Thank you...Luis Rizzo & Riki
I decided to renovate my pool and patio when my daughter, son In law, and two grandchildren moved in with me. I did my due diligence, interviewing various pool companies, and ultimately chose Cliff’s Pools. My Sr. Project Manager, Nancy, kept me informed each step of the way with timely phone calls and emails. My project manager, Victor, came out with each crew, personally met with me, inspected all completed work, and corrected any issues that arose immediately. Fernando accommodated me on a Saturday and explained all the pool equipment clearly in “pool school”. Arcadio, was highly professional and helpful. He set up my phone App with all the pool equipment, painstakingly labeling everything for me from pump to water features. He set everything up on a schedule, including the pool lights. I really appreciate his attention to detail and patience explaining all aspects of the phone app. If you are considering a renovation, I would highly recommend this company!
