In July 2025, my family and I began the process of building a pool. We met with several companies, both large, well-known builders and smaller local businesses. After carefully considering our options, we chose to move forward with Leo and Crystal Yards Pools, and we could not be happier with our decision. From the very beginning, Leo was incredibly helpful and took the time to answer all of our questions. He was involved throughout the entire process, from initial consultation to final completion. My wife and I had a vision for our dream backyard, and Leo brought it to life. During the design phase, he truly listened to our ideas and incorporated them seamlessly. He was never pushy and never tried to upsell unnecessary features or materials. As many people will tell you, building a pool can be a stressful experience. That held true for us when construction began in October 2025. However, Leo made the process as smooth and manageable as possible. He was always available to address any questions or concerns, and whenever minor issues came up, as they do with any project, he handled them promptly and professionally to keep everything on track. In addition to the pool, we also had landscaping, turf installation, and a driveway extension completed. One of the biggest advantages of working with Crystal Yards Pools was that they handled everything. Unlike other companies that require you to hire separate contractors, they truly are a one-stop shop, which made the entire process much easier and more efficient. Another major benefit was cost. Crystal Yards Pools came in lower than all the other companies we considered. When we compared estimates line by line, it was clear that Leo did not inflate material costs the way some competitors did. Our pool was completed in January 2026, and the final result exceeded our expectations. It turned out exactly how we envisioned. Even after completion, Leo remains available whenever we have questions or need assistance. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about his work and stands behind his company. I would absolutely recommend Crystal Yards Pools to anyone considering a pool project.

STONGLY recommend against use of Crystal Yards Pool Construction for any projects at your home. I hired Leo in February of this year and it has been a borderline disaster of a process. He started off strong, but I should have known something was wrong when he began asking for payments ahead of schedule. The demolition of my current surface went well, but as soon as that was done we started going weeks without any work being done and no communication from Leo. Texts and phone calls went unanswered for days and weeks on end. Workers would not show up when they were supposed to and then random guys would show up out of the blue and "work" for an hour and leave. Once the deck and resurface of the pool were completed, the work stopped for more than 2 weeks. The pump and filter system were not operable during this time so the pool filled with algae and the surface was damaged. There was also a leak in the skimmer that Leo installed. Once I got a different company to clean the pool, Leo returned to get the pump running. Unfortunately, the pump was installed improperly just to appease us by showing that it was running. It can not be controlled from our panel so it just runs 24/7. The pump system also has a leak in it so that air bubbles constantly filter through the system. We are now 4 months into a project that was quoted as 4-6 weeks and Leo has once again stopped responding to my requests. In addition to the job not being done properly or completely, Leo has now started to accuse me of being a non paying customer. I have copies of every invoice he has sent to me with accompanying payments in a timely manner. He stated that i have an invoice that is "3 weeks overdue". However, he is referring only to the final invoice which was sent to me on June 4th and has a due date of June 9th. Per our contract, this invoice is due upon completion of the job. It has become clear that Leo and Crystal Yards are behind on scheduling and behind financially. They are attempting to collect funds prior to their due dates so that they can keep jobs moving. I gave Leo every opportunity to finish the job and get my pool in good working order. This was met with excuse after excuse. He has refused until I give him more money. I am including photos of what my pool looked like when Leo walked away from the project. It was filled with algae. When I got it cleaned, the surface showed streak marks and blotches of discoloration. I have now had to hire a different company to finish this project. I highly recommend staying away from this company due to very poor communication, work ethic and shady business practices. **Update** Email from new pool company hired to fix all of the issues states: “Due to the valve that was left broken, the wrong pump being installed, and the poorly installed automation system, it is our recommendation to start from scratch to ensure everything will communicate and work from your phone app.” I have also attached the invoice from them for just under $9,000.

Leo and his team are knowledgeable and professional. We were so impressed with our pool and deck remodel, along with the customer service we received. Leo genuinely cares about his customers, even after the job is completed.

I interviewed 3 different pool companies to do our pool resurface, new coping, skimmer, pool light and tiles. We went with Crystal Yards and couldn’t be happier. They did what they said they were going to do…hard to find these days! They were onsite everyday and cleaned up before they left every afternoon. Leo was great to work with. He kept us in the loop on our project every step of the way. At the end of the day the pool is beautiful! You can’t go wrong with Crystal Yards!!!

Leo and the team at Crystal Yards Pool Construction did a phenomenal job transforming our pool and back patio! What started out as a pool resurfacing turned into a larger project that included a spa build out, equipment upgrade (salt), resurfacing, tiling, and removing coping and replacing with travertine decking. We are very happy with how Leo and the team saw every detail through to the finish. They were committed to our complete satisfaction with the project. After meeting with several different pool reno companies and seeing various quotes, I can highly, highly recommend Leo and the team at Crystal Yards Pool Construction.

Leo did an amazing job. He really knew his stuff and had an answer for all of our concerns. Any changes we made he was very patient and worked with us. The whole experience was top-notch from start to finish.
