Downrite Pool was the third company we contacted. We decided to work with them even though they were not the cheapest because unlike the previous companies, we received the written estimate on the same day, plus they told us on the spot about all the work we would need to get done before starting the pool project to avoid delays after. We don’t like to work with companies you have to chase for the estimate as if that is for the estimate imagine once you give them the first payment. It took us three months from the estimate day to the day we actually signed the contract to do all the extra work need it. During this time, we called them a couple of times to ask questions. They always answered super nice and actually came to the house to instruct the plumbers on where the water line should go which we appreciated a lot as without a signed contract we could have gone with any other company. After signing the contract, it took about 4 weeks for the house plans and the city permits. Then another 4 weeks from opening the hole to the final inspection. Their workers worked fast and clean. Our contract was for pavers around the pool and terrace but when they went to buy the tiles, he called us to offer us marble tiles for the same price. We were VERY happy with the upgrade. They are worth every single penny! Our backyard looks beautiful.

I had the privilege of doing business with Onan & Barbie Castillo of Down-Rite Pool & Spa last September 2020 for my pool design and construction. They had previously constructed a pool for my cousin a year earlier and they had also just remodeled one of my neighbors pools a block behind my home. Onan and Barbie both visited my home, my wife and I gave them the specs of what we wanted and within six weeks our pool was complete. They were very patient and attentive during the entire process with my wife and I as we discussed the different colors of Diamond Brite and pool tiles we could choose from. They invited us to visit their showroom to take a look at an endless amount of pool tiles and Diamond Brite to really see what everything we chose really looked like in person. Let me tell you my head was spinning with the amount of choices they have at the showroom. I don't know of many pool companies that have a showroom you can visit and take a look at real life samples as oppose to just pictures on a catalog or on someones phone like most contractors. I was literally blown away as to how fast and efficient they worked and cleaned up after themselves. I work from home so I saw the project from start to finish and I was amazed at how quick everything moved along. My house sits adjacent to a tot-lot park in Miami Lakes. I can tell you that I wasn't the only one that was amazed at what I was seeing, my neighbors were as well. They told me they had never seen anyone start and construct a pool in such a timely manner. Many shared horror stories of friends and family members having really bad experiences building pools. I thank the Lord I hired the right people for the job. Something that always worries me during any construction is the inspections process. I can honestly say all inspections went smoothly during the entire time thanks to their craftsmanship and attention to detail. I know that several of my neighbors have reached out to them for their pool remodeling and design like my neighbors across the street. I would not hesitate twice to have them work on another one of my properties to construct a pool. I have been so pleased working with them that I hired them to clean my pool on a weekly basis since day one.
