I cannot compliment Five Aces enough! We had a really hard time finding the leaks in our fiberglass pool/plumbing and thought we would have to replace all of the plumbing. Jon and team found that the leaking was coming from the spa heads and only needed to replace them. He and his team were very professional, they were kind and considerate and did a great job! My pool was filled up just two days after repairs and we are happy to say are having no issues with the plumbing! Thank you Five Aces, I now have a pool for the kids to play in over their Spring Break! Thank you so much! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I called to get some assistance with my pool. I spoke with a person by the name of John. Conversation went well and sounded productive. He actually gave me a great idea . We set up a day for him to come by the house to measure, and evaluate what we had spoken about. HE NEVER SHOWED UP !!!!!! I called both the business line and I believe it to be his personal cell phone as well because he received the pictures I had originally sent him when we had first spoken. He was aware of my situation and urgency to get this done because I was in the middle of selling my home. A few calls, and texts and no reply . He went Ghost. Beyond unprofessional

I feel the need to share my experience with Five Aces Pool And Spa. I had a pool project that needed special attention, I contacted many pool company’s for quotes and needed to know what it would take to make my pool beautiful again. The coating on my pool was painted with a fiberglass in the paint, I had many companies tell me different ways to do it. One company told me they would just stucco over the paint and that he did it all the time, another company told me they had to burn off the coating and it was very costly and when I got online and did my research neither one of those company’s were honest to me. Five aces pool and spa was the last company I contacted for a quote and all I can say is that the good lord was looking out for me because he always saves the best for last and I feel he did in my case. When John came out and looked at my project he told me right away that the painted coating had to come off before they could put a new coating on which I knew was true from my previous research online the more I spoke too John the more I felt his honesty needless to say I decided before receiving his quote Five Aces pool and Spa would be the one to do my project John left from our meeting he told me he would get me a quote in a couple days not only did he get my quote in a couple days he was also very competitive In price, But by far his honesty is what sold me, sometimes you just know what is good and what is bad and I knew I wanted my project to be done by Five Aces pool. John got me on schedule and was on time starting my project not only did I have the honor of working with John I also had the pleasure of working with Lazaro Johns dad who was the one who took off all the old coating and made my pool look more beautiful then it has ever looked. They are a family owned business that takes nothing but pride in their work and are the most pleasant people I have ever had the pleasure of working with , I highly recommend Five Aces pool and spa for your project. I would not recommend this company! A 6 week project took 8 months. 1. They showed up early and unannounced with the wrong color fiberglass pool. Jon told us "they discontinued the color you wanted". Really? Why didn't they call and ask what other color we would prefer? Why show up secretly and put in the pool? Now looking back we believe we where given a recycled pool. I found out Jon lied to my face and that the color we wanted was never discontinued. 2. The initial dirty water fill was left for months. We called and called and called to get them to come finish the pool, they came a few times and poured bleach in the pool to kill the thousands and thousands of frogs and tadpoles that developed. The water was nasty green for months, it looked radioactive. 3. After cleaning out the radioactive water, and doing the refill of clean water there were yellowish brown stains all over the bottom of the pool. Jon could not get them out no matter what he did. No one else would come service the pool because A. they said Jon had to finish the pool because the contract stated the pool is to be serviced for 1 month AFTER they finish it. B. No one else wanted to be liable for the stains. 4. 8 months later when the pool was finished, Jon finally hired a company to get the yellow/brown stains out which was basically just balancing the pool, but the stains were still there just white. The surface is permanently damaged. Because he already received all our money he refused to return and fix the issue. We had many specialist look at the pool and tell us the pool was damaged, most likely prior to us receiving it and the lack of maintenance on the builders part made it worse. The pool appears to have been sanded. The stains are unrepairable. Even an new gelcoat would not completely fix the issue. We had to hire an attorney. This has caused our family so much stress. We are good and honestly people, so to be swindled like this really hurts.

Installation of our pool began in July of 2020. It is now January 2022 and the job still isn't finished. Permit for the pool cage keeps getting extended, the inspection hasn't been done and the alarms haven't been installed. The deck has rust stains coming from under the texture because they didn't properly remove the screws from the old screen frames before applying texture and paint. There has been no communication from anyone since I called John in June of 2021 and was told that I would hear something soon. This was supposed to be a three week project. It's now been more than 18 months.

About Five Aces Pool & Spa LLC

Five Aces Pool & Spa of Lehigh Acres: Florida licensed since 2000, fiberglass pools in south-west Florida, 4.0 on Google from 24 reviews.

Who they are

Five Aces Pool & Spa works out of Lehigh Acres in Lee County and has held Florida contractor license CPC057196 since August 2000 — twenty-six years, one of the longest records on this list. Their current website is much newer, dating from 2024. They publish an award badge on their own site, so that claim has something behind it, though we have not written to the awarding body. They describe themselves as family owned, which the public record does not settle.

What they build

Fiberglass pools, spas, servicing and outdoor living work — and the fiberglass part is worth pausing on, because they say it plainly in their own headline and almost no Florida builder states a construction method at all. Fiberglass is a genuinely different proposition from a gunite pool poured on site: faster to install, fixed in shape, and different to repair. If you are comparing quotes, that is the single most useful thing to know about them, and it means they are not really competing with the gunite builders elsewhere on this list. They also advertise a twenty-five year structural warranty. Warranty terms are theirs to publish rather than ours to verify, and twenty-five years is a serious promise — get the detail in writing: what it covers, what voids it, whether it transfers if you sell, and who honours it.

Where they work

Lehigh Acres is the licensed base and Fort Myers and Bonita Springs are plausible neighbours. Be sceptical of the rest: they publish pages for Naples, Cocoa Beach, Crystal Beach, Gulf Breeze, Marathon, Orlando and Pompano Beach, and those pages are near-copies of one another. Gulf Breeze is in the Panhandle, Marathon is in the Keys and Pompano Beach is on the other coast — that is not a service area, it is a set of templates. Take south-west Florida as real and ask about anything else.

What the record shows

Google has them at 4.0 from 24 reviews, half a point below the 4.52 average across Florida's builders, and the gap has a clear cause. Five customers name their professionalism and four the quality of the work, and several describe the crews as responsive and the finished pool as good. But two customers describe the same specific failure, and a third account says it again: an appointment agreed and then nobody arriving. One left work early for an appointment booked a week ahead and reports no one came and no one called. Another set an appointment, was never called back, and was still waiting a month later. That is a failure at the very first step, before any money changes hands, and it sits oddly beside the reviews praising how responsive they are — which suggests inconsistency rather than indifference. It is also the cheapest problem in this trade to protect against: confirm your appointment the day before, and get the written quote date agreed in writing. The twenty-six year license and the fiberglass specialism are the real reasons to consider them.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Is Five Aces Pool & Spa licensed?

Yes. Florida contractor license CPC057196 has been held since August 2000 — twenty-six years, among the longest records here.

What kind of pools do they build?

Fiberglass, and they say so in their own headline — which almost no Florida builder does. Fiberglass installs faster than gunite, comes in fixed shapes and is repaired differently, so they are not directly comparable with most builders on this list. Ask each builder to state their method and compare like with like.

What do the reviews actually say?

Google reads 4.0 from 24 reviews, half a point below the 4.52 Florida average. Five customers name their professionalism and four the build quality. Against that, several describe an appointment agreed and nobody arriving — one left work early for an appointment booked a week ahead, another was still waiting a month later.

What about the twenty-five year structural warranty?

It is their own published claim and no public record verifies warranty terms. Twenty-five years is a serious promise, so get it in writing: what it covers, what voids it, whether it transfers if you sell the house, and who honours it.

Which areas do they really cover?

Lehigh Acres, Fort Myers and the Bonita Springs side of south-west Florida. They also publish pages for Gulf Breeze in the Panhandle, Marathon in the Keys, Pompano Beach on the east coast and Orlando — all near-copies of each other. Treat those as templates, not territory.

What should I do first?

Confirm your first appointment the day before, and agree in writing when the quote will arrive. Missed appointments are the one repeated complaint on their record, and it is the easiest thing to guard against.
