The Panama Pools and Spa team (Stephen, Rick and Natalie and staff) could not have been better to work with creating an awesome backyard oasis at our home in Panama City Beach Florida. Our family is new to the region and looked for a reputable pool designer / builder and Panama Pools and Spa was recommended to us by a local custom home builder. After meeting with the sales leader (Rick the Pool Guy) it was an easy decision to contract with this company and turned out to be a great move. It's hard to believe our backyard went from a “skid row” looking yard to an unbelievable place you don’t want to leave. From concept to installation to final landscaping, they did it all. What started as an ordinary area became a stunning outdoor retreat. This project completely transformed the space into the perfect place for relaxation and family fun! Our thanks and gratitude to all of you Panama Pools and Spa for a job well done. Bruce and Rosanne
Avoid Panama Pools and Spas at all costs. Contracting with them to build our inground pool was an absolute nightmare. Everything that could go wrong did. The project, which should have been straightforward, took a staggering 7 months to complete. They only worked on it one day a week, and sometimes not at all. They installed the equipment incorrectly, so the pool pump didn’t even work to filter the water. To make matters worse, they used playground sand instead of pool-grade sand. The lights were never sealed properly, leading to algae growth. Their design placement for the lights wasn’t what we had discussed, adding to the mounting list of problems. They hired a revolving door of contractors, none of whom seemed to know what they were doing. At one point, they even told me I needed to coordinate professionals like plumbers—which was completely absurd since I’m not a pool contractor and had no idea what was needed. If there was a way to give negative stars, I absolutely would. This company is disorganized, unprofessional, and incapable of delivering on their promises. I deeply regret hiring them and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Spare yourself the stress and look elsewhere.
5 Star Review for Panama Pools LLC ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I couldn’t be happier with Panama Pools LLC! From the very first consultation to the final touches on our new pool, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. They listened carefully to what we wanted, offered great suggestions that fit our budget and yard, and delivered a stunning pool that exceeded all our expectations. The workmanship is top-notch — clean lines, beautiful finishes, and everything functions perfectly. Our kids (and the adults!) have been enjoying it every single day since it was completed. What really stands out is how reliable and communicative they were throughout the entire process. No surprises, no delays, and they kept us updated every step of the way. They even came back for a quick follow-up to make sure everything was running smoothly. If you’re thinking about building a pool, renovating your existing one, or need reliable pool maintenance in the Panama City area, look no further. Panama Pools LLC is the real deal. Highly recommend — you won’t be disappointed! Thank you, Panama Pools! Job well done.
Please don't use this company - they are posting pictures of pools, labeling them as "Pools in Panama City" or "Custom Pools in Panama Beach City" making it look like they did them when they didn't. I don't know how many are from other places or companies but they have pictures I have taken of my husband's designs in Texas and they had nothing to do with the projects. They also have pictures designed by Reid Schindler, Phillip Kent, Kaitlyn Williams-Mims, Brian Claffey, Charlie Claffey, Shelly Claffey & Garden Designs - all in Texas. Taking pictures of pools either costs a lot to hire someone good for these quality photos or you have to spend a lot of time and money to take them yourself. To create projects of this caliber takes a lot of time & is a long process - from both the design side to the finished product. A company that uses other peoples pictures says to me that they aren't building the quality of product they are advertising or they would have their own pictures to showcase. I feel that when a company doesn't put their own work on their own website it shows they are hiding something or are brand new. I expect better from someone with the Master Pools Guild.
Panama City Pools are brilliant, I was struggling to keep my pool in good condition, partly because I travel, and it’s also a hassle keeping all the necessary chemicals in stock. Anyway I called PCPools and it’s been a breeze since. It costs me less than I was spending on chemicals alone, and when I come back from travel it’s clean, shimmery, and ready to use. The chaps who keep the pool for me are charming and responsive when I have a problem, which can be quite often because I have mad skills when it comes to breaking things
These people are absolute crooks. They didn’t install the auto-leveler, won’t refund the money. Did a shoddy job on the tile work. Was told numerous times someone would come and clean all the grout that’s all over the tile, that never happened. They were hired to do weekly pool maintenance. They came about once every three weeks (we have camera proof) but still billed for weekly visits...There was an entire 5 gallon bucket of unopened cool deck paint that we paid for that they took with them. Had to repeatedly ask for the eyeball things to be installed inside the pool (i don’t know the technical term for these) and they finally got put in over 6 months later. There was concrete splashed all over our sliding glass door and air conditioning unit when the pool was poured. That took three months to get someone to come clean it off. There are so many more things. Save yourself the frustration and don’t use this company. Cox pools was so much more professional, I was just too impatient to wait on them to do our pool. I wish I had waited.

We checked Panama Pools & Spas of Vernon against every pool builder in Florida — their licenses, what they build, and where they stand.
Panama Pools & Spas works out of Vernon, in the Florida panhandle, from a post office box rather than a street address. Two licenses sit with the company, both qualified in the same family name: a registered pool contractor license current since 1976 and a certified one since 2005. Fifty years of continuous registration is the longest run on this site by a wide margin.
Google shows 3.6 from 17 reviews, against a Florida average of 4.52 — nearly a point under it. Seventeen customers is a small sample and a single bad job moves a number that size a long way, so this is not a verdict. But two of the seventeen raise the quality of the finished build, and that belongs here unsoftened: two out of seventeen is a proportion worth asking about, and build quality is the expensive thing to get wrong. Four reviewers name the way the crew conducted itself, so the record is genuinely split rather than uniformly poor.
Fifty years of license and seventeen reviews is an unusual combination — it usually means a long-established company that has never chased an online presence. Ask for addresses of pools finished in the last year or two, go and look at them, and ask who will actually be on your site. On a record this thin, work you can inspect is worth more than the rating.
New pool construction and commercial work, with renovation, repair, ongoing service, spas, water features and outdoor living.

Answered from this record — not by the business.
Yes. Two licenses are on record under the same family name: RP0027158 current since 1976 and CPC1457115 since 2005.
Google shows 3.6 from 17 reviews, against a Florida average of 4.52. Two reviewers raise the quality of the finished build and four name the crew's conduct positively. Seventeen is a small sample, so it is a caution rather than a verdict — but worth asking about directly.
Ask for addresses of pools finished in the last year or two and go and look at them. With fifty years of license and only seventeen reviews, the finished work tells you far more than the rating does.
Yes. Commercial pools sit alongside new residential construction, renovation, repair, ongoing service, spas, water features and outdoor living areas.
