The best and the worst from each platform. Both, always.
After having interviewed various pool builders, I was very impressed with Sekas Custom Pools, the owner is wonderful, they take time in explaining their process and are very responsive to questions. I signed with them today for a new inground pool. They are extremely knowledgeable and do not rush you or pressure you into decisions. They are very professional. Update as of 7/8/23 - Pool is done in record time. They broke ground in May 2023 and it is now being filled as of July 8, 2023. Definitely recommend Sekas. Their team is wonderful, they are timely, they clean up, they check to make sure everything is going well.
This company came highly recommended by several of our new neighbors as we are new to St Pete. We contracted to have a pool built for us late last year which was not able to be started until August of 2022. We gave a deposit of $6800 and did have a first drawing of the pool delivered. In the interim we had an opportunity to buy a house in the same neighborhood which already had a pool. We asked about possibly obtaining at least some of our money back and were told it was not possible as they had reserved a slot for us. We felt this was ridiculous as the waiting time for pools is approximately a year and Sekas could have easily filled our slot. The only work done as mentioned was a preliminary plan. To keep all of the $6800 is not very customer friendly and we would not recommend dealing with them.
Sekas builds beautiful pools exactly to the plan. He and his project managers will meet the schedule they lay out for you. No surprises. We had a pretty small space and he designed and built a beautiful pool that we are so happy with. 2 yrs later we wouldn’t change a thing. Can’t say enough about how happy we are with our Sekas pool.
I'm a neighbor next to their customer and they need to perform the required work such that it doesn't affect neighbors negatively. They awakened my guest at 7:30 a.m. one morning to ask them to move their legally parked in the driveway vehicle for the concrete truck that was coming. It showed up 2 or 3 hours later. They could have mentioned something the night before but didn't bother. Today they're spreading concrete dust EVERYWHERE (this photo is pretty tame, it was much worse) throughout the entire neighborhood because they don't want to have to clean up the sludge it creates using water to stop the dust plumes. How do I know, because I went out there and told them the dust plumes were coming into my back door from the alley. They told me it was "construction". I told them to use water and they said "it makes a mess". So making less mess for themselves but getting dust on every surface in a block radius is their preference, gotcha. They moved the cutting toward the front of the house so it wouldn't come into my backyard but they're still doing it.
The pool I had envisioned in my mind, was brilliantly brought to life by Sekas Custom Pools. They were meticulous with the details throughout the build process. Everyone in the crew and office were so responsive as I was out of town for a good portion of the build. I felt connected to the project at every milestone. The end result is a beautiful pool I enjoy every day. I would definitely recommend Sekas Custom Pools.
Business must be good for these people. I called them twice to install a pool. I even stopped by in person once. Never heard back from them. I decided to go with someone else and 100% satisfied.

We checked Sekas Custom Pools of St. Petersburg against every pool builder in Florida — license CPC1456589, what they build, and where they stand.
Sekas Custom Pools works from Eden Isle Drive NE in St. Petersburg, Pinellas County. Their Florida pool contractor license, CPC1456589, has been current since 2003 — twenty-three years unbroken — and it is qualified in the family name the company trades under.
Google shows 4.3 from 30 reviews, a little under the Florida average of 4.52 on a moderate sample. What the reviewers agree on is the useful part: five name the quality of the finished build, three the standard of communication, three the way the crew conducted itself. Build quality being the most-named thing is worth noticing — it is the hardest of the three to fake and the most expensive to get wrong. No complaint recurs across enough separate customers to form a theme.
New pool construction and renovation, with spas, water features and outdoor living work. Project photographs are published on the site. The number is (727) 522-2300.
The website's contact page has not changed since 2019 and the site shows no activity after March 2026. That says nothing certain about how busy they are, but it does mean the gallery is not a current record — ask what they have finished this year.

Not entirely. The contact page has not changed since 2019 and the site shows no activity after March 2026, so treat the gallery as a portfolio rather than a record of recent work.
