Tom and Lois at Suncoast were amazing to deal with. Very polite and always happy to answer my stupid questions, lol. I made a few changes along the process, and they were happy to accommodate. Other pool company quotes had a lot of "added costs" on them for things that Suncoast includes in their base price. Make sure you know what you're getting if you're pool shopping! They kept me informed of everything along the way, and the end result is amazing! We love our Suncoast installed Latham pool!
Ok place, if you know what you want. We were needing some help with our hot tub chemicals, unfortunately staff didn't know anything about chemicals or hot tubs 💁🏻♂️So we left.
Sun Coast Pools just finished my custom pool in St. Augustine, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very first consultation, their team really listened to what I wanted and helped me design a pool that fits my space perfectly. The craftsmanship is outstanding — every detail looks high-end, clean, and professionally done.
***BEWARE, DISHONEST BUSINESS*** We put a contract down with Latham dealer Suncoast Pools and Spas of St Augustine LLC 4/16/21 for a 54k pool, and were originally told it would be 9 months before breaking ground. When Feb install date came, they kept pushing back the date of install due to lack of fiberglass shells. 5/16/22 we were told our shell was still on back order, and plan to refund us our 5k deposit within 30 days. Almost 60 days later and I'm still trying to get our deposit refunded. Apparently our shell is still on order, but they now will only do the work for 72k, even though we originally signed a contract for 54k, and never broke that contract. I tried contacting Latham for assistance, and they only refer me back to the dealer, and have not returned my calls. I would stay far away from Suncoast Pools and Spas of ST Augustine LLC, as well as Latham as they don't back their products up.
Tom and his team did a great job on my fiberglass pool install! Very detailed oriented to ensure the longevity, not just the short term. They aren’t your corporate or big company style, which gives room for special attention to the details and still got it done at sooner than a neighbor using a larger company and leaving me feeling secure that the job was done right. Additionally, they took care not to rip up any area not needed. Neighboring pools by other companies destroyed their entire back yards not taking caution where their equipment went. Suncoast made sure to keep their disruption to a minimum saving me the repair work or cost. They took the time to show me everything afterwards to understand the system (never owing a pool before. I am writing this two-months after completion to ensure it was an accurate review. Thanks Suncoast!
We had a great experience with Tom and Lois. It started off a little rocky due to the delays from Latham around the time Covid hit, and delays with the shells. Unfortunately our scheduled time had to be pushed back. That was frustrating, but out of anyone's control. Eventually they let us know that things were coming in and we were able to break ground! After that the process went really quickly. All of the workers were super efficient and professional, and Lois was really responsive when I texted with questions. The pool has been in for a few months now, with the screen also, and it's been just wonderful.

We checked Suncoast Pools and Spas of Saint Augustine against every pool builder in Florida — license CPC1459137, what they build, and where they stand.
Suncoast Pools and Spas of Saint Augustine works from Old Lewis Speedway in Saint Augustine, St. Johns County. Their Florida pool contractor license, CPC1459137, has been current since 2018.
Google shows 4.4 from 17 reviews, a little under the Florida average of 4.52. Seventeen reviews is a modest base and the gap to the average is small enough that it says less than the consistency behind it does. Four reviewers name the quality of the finished work and three the way the company conducted itself. No complaint recurs across enough separate customers to form a theme.
The published material covers spas and hot tubs and the outdoor living areas around a pool. Their license is a full Florida pool contractor license, so their permitted scope is wider than the site shows — ask directly about new construction and renovation rather than assuming either way. They publish 5 project photographs, and the site also carries a page for Key West, a long way from St. Johns County, so confirm the areas they actually serve — (904) 495-1334.
