We had an amazing experience with A&E Pools from start to finish. The construction process was smooth, professional, and the quality of their work exceeded our expectations. Their attention to detail and communication throughout the project really stood out. The startup process was just as impressive—they took the time to make sure everything was running perfectly and explained everything we needed to know. Because we were so pleased with their service, we decided to trust A & E Pools with our ongoing pool maintenance as well. It’s hard to find a company that delivers this level of quality and professionalism. Definitely a 5-star experience. Highly recommend A & E Pools to anyone looking to build or maintain a pool!

Update: While I am still irritated by the way things were handled, the company has responded privately with an apology. I reached out to A & E Pools weeks ago through their website asking if they serviced my area, as their website said the worked in Sarasota County. I received multiple messages offering appointments and I finally worked out my schedule to be home on June 30th for an appointment. The morning of the appointment, Ely reached out and asked to reschedule due to a mixup and overlapping appointments. Knowing that I may not be able to make the appointment for the end of the week of July 6th, my husband and I came home early from our July 4th trip to meet with Ely at 3pm on July 6th. At 2:25pm, after receiving two confirmations about the appointment, I received a text that we were too far out of their area and they would not be able to come after all. I am unsure of how their scheduling system works, however, I gave them a pass the first time. A second time is just pure incompetence.

We recently reached out to several pool companies to get estimates on a paver patio and cage. We chose A&E pools because they were prompt with their estimates and very responsive to our questions and priced competitively. Unlike many of the other contractors we contacted, A&E pools did all phases, paver patio construction, cage construction and landscaping. The entire process from start to finish took just under a month to complete. They set the expectations and delivered. We are delighted with our new outdoor living space. Their staff was easy to work with and very knowledgeable. I would recommend A&E pools to anyone looking for a contractor to build outdoor spaces. They exceeded all our expectations. Thanks

Shout out to A&E Pools for making our first pool a dream come true! We love spending time out by the pool and listening the relaxing sound of the water fall. The pool was completed on schedule and they were very responsive. The tile and paver work was very precise and their wide selection of equipment and finishes let us stay within our budget! Their entire team was great from start to finish! They handled the permitting and HOA submissions, which greatly reduces the risk and frustration of first time pool owners like us. Many of their customers here in our neighborhood recommended them, and we are happy we chose A&E.

We had an excellent experience with A & E Pools, and I can’t say enough good things about Ely and Elio. From the very beginning, they were thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. What stood out most was how intentional they were about helping us stay within our budget—they offered smart options, clear trade-offs, and never pressured us to overspend. It truly felt like a partnership rather than a sales process. The speed and execution were impressive. Initial discussions began at the start of September, and by the end of November, our pool was completed and beautifully landscaped. That kind of timeline—especially with the level of quality delivered—is rare. Every commitment they made was followed through on, and we always felt informed and confident about the next step. Communication was clear throughout the entire process, expectations were set and met, and the end result exceeded what we hoped for. The pool and surrounding landscaping look fantastic and have completely transformed our outdoor space. If you’re looking for a team that is professional, efficient, budget-conscious, and genuinely cares about the outcome, I highly recommend A & E Pools—and especially Ely & Elio.

We used A&E Pools for our pool and deck renovation. In terms of pricing, we did quote out several other companies and their pricing was definitely fair, not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive. Ely came out several times to walk the property and answer questions and then we went over to their “showroom” to review materials. The project started on time. And generally stayed on schedule. The work seems to be good quality. The pavers were done well and finished quickly. The pool looks great. They were able to add a sun deck in the deep end which makes our pool much more functional for our children. Overall, we are very happy with the final result. We had some concerns about how well a “demo” project would come out and I do think they met or exceeded expectations.

About A&e Pools LLC

A&E Pools of Fort Myers: 4.8 on Google from 48 reviews, with communication and keeping to schedule as their two most-named strengths.

Who they are

A&E Pools works out of Fort Myers, Lee County, from a post box rather than a shopfront — normal for a builder whose work is all on site. Their Florida contractor license, CPC1459515, was issued in October 2020 and is current, and the domain has been registered since 2018, so this is a company of six to eight years standing depending on which date you take. They describe themselves as family-owned and fully insured: the first is their own account and not a matter of public record, and insurance is not verifiable from outside any company, so ask for the certificate. Their claim to be number one is not a position anyone holds on the record. They keep long weekday hours, seven in the morning to seven at night, which on a Florida build is genuinely useful.

What they build

New pool construction, renovation of existing pools, repairs, ongoing pool service, spas and hot tubs, water features, screen enclosures and outdoor living work. Eight lines, none with a page of its own — but they publish twenty-four project photographs, a full set, and they write regularly: the last thing they updated was an article on in-ground pool types, a few days ago. On pricing, one customer is specific and it is worth knowing: they quoted several other companies for a pool and deck renovation and found A&E's pricing genuinely competitive. That is one account rather than a pattern, but it is a reason to get a quote.

Where they work

Fort Myers and Lee County. They publish a Fort Myers page, but it is a near-copy of another of their pages rather than something written for the place, so there is no documented town-by-town service area — Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Estero and the surrounding county is the sensible reading, and anything further worth confirming by phone. Their site is actively maintained, with activity within the last few days, which puts them among the minority here that genuinely tends to it.

What the record shows

Google has them at 4.8 from 48 reviews, comfortably above the 4.52 Florida average. Forty-eight reviews is a real sample, and a 4.8 held across it is a strong result — but the consistency behind it is the better story. Four separate praise themes clear our reporting floor: communication named by six customers, professionalism by six, build quality by four, and keeping to schedule by three. Four themes on a sample this size takes genuine consistency, and this particular set is the one you want, because between them they cover the talking, the timetable and the finished article — the three things that go wrong on a pool build. Communication and schedule being the two most-named is unusual and telling: those are the standard complaints in this trade, and here they are the standard compliments. There is no complaint theme to report. The one negative account on record is worth reading in full because of how it ends: a customer who had contacted them through their website about a service enquiry and heard nothing, who then updated their own review to say the company had responded privately with an apology. They remained irritated about how it was handled, which is fair, but a firm that follows up on a public complaint and apologises is behaving better than most. The honest caution is the ordinary one for a company of this age: six to eight years is a decent record but not a long one, and the insurance and number-one claims rest on their own word. Ask for the certificate, get the warranty in writing, and this is one of the stronger profiles on the list.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

What do the reviews actually say?

Google has them at 4.8 from 48 reviews, above the 4.52 Florida average, and four separate praise themes clear our reporting floor: communication (six customers), professionalism (six), build quality (four) and keeping to schedule (three). Communication and schedule being the two most-named is unusual — those are normally the complaints in this trade, not the compliments.

Is there anything negative on record?

One account, and how it ends matters. A customer contacted them through their website about a service enquiry and heard nothing, then updated their own review to say the company had responded privately with an apology. They were still irritated about the handling, which is fair — but a firm that follows up on a public complaint and apologises is behaving better than most here.

How long have they been in business?

Their license, CPC1459515, was issued in October 2020 and is current, and the domain has been registered since 2018 — so six to eight years depending on which you count. A decent record, though not a long one, and worth weighing on a purchase this size.

Are they competitively priced?

One customer says so specifically: they quoted several other companies for a pool and deck renovation and found A&E's pricing genuinely competitive. That is a single account rather than a pattern, so treat it as a reason to get a quote rather than a promise.

Which areas do they cover, and when are they open?

They are in Fort Myers and their one location page is a near-copy of another, so there is no documented town-by-town area — Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Estero and the surrounding county is the sensible reading. They keep long weekday hours, seven in the morning to seven at night.
