Barnes was worth the wait. Barnes had worked on two other pools I had owned in the last 30 years. So of course, I wanted Barnes to do the installation of a new pool. I waited over a year. But I am glad I did. The work started a week before the Hurricaine, and construction continued the day after the hurricaine! The workers came every day for 6-8 weeks until a delay in supplies and a vendor issue stopped the work. As promised, the pool was filled the day before Xmas. More finishing work continued, and upon completion: Barnes returned to resolve small issues and instruct me every time I called. I highly recommend Barnes. My pool is beautiful. I would use Barnes again to install a new pool or do pool repairs.

They don't seem to want any new business so don't bother! They won't even schedule a estimate until you send them a property survey. I sent them a survey, waited a day and didn't hear anything back. Then sent another email to check they got it and to schedule an estimate ...still no response. I called 6 days after sending in the survery for them to tell me that I need to send it in again because it didn't come through clear. The receptionist didn't like me voicing my dissatisfaction at the fact that nobody responded for a week and basically said they're not interested! I'll be looking elsewhere.

Barnes Pool came highly recommended to us when we were on the hunt for our pool. Family owned business who took so much pride in their work. We will never forget the day that they came to measure and get our ideas on what we were looking for. After having a couple of different pool builders came out, we knew who we wanted to go with them from that first visit. We got our draft design within a couple of days and seen our dreams become reality at that step. They were very upfront from the beginning about the backlog that started building up due to supplies and staffing shortages, and the extended time from dig day to fill day. What would have normally taken 8-10 weeks for a pool and design our size ended up taking almost 16 weeks. BUT…the end result was well worth the wait. We could not be happier with our mini resort in our very own backyard! Thank you Barnes Pool for making our dreams become a reality. We would 1000% pay it forward with the highly regarded recommendation for anyone looking to build your backyard oasis.

Barnes pools built our pool 30 years ago. At that time they really good. Here it is 30 years later; our pool now needs resurfacing. We called them for a quote as we would be a return customer. The son came and took pictures of our pool and deck; promised us they would send us a quote by that day or no later than the next. a week later we called asking about the quote. They promised we would have it that day! It’s been three weeks still no quote not even a call. We are very disappointed.

Barnes did beautiful work on my 22 year old pool and deck. We couldn’t be happier with the work done, the guys that did the work and the professionalism. The concrete deck was cracked and would no longer hold onto deck paint. They installed pavers and it’s beautiful. The new pool finish is immaculate. They went out of their way to make sure everything was done properly. Scott was a joy to work with. There were only 2 issues I had. 1) The crew that did the pavers. None of them could speak English. I know it’s not easy to do, but they should have someone on site that can communicate with them so questions or requests can be taken care of. 2) Was not sure if the job was completed. Know one came out to inspect the completed work and ask if there were any issues I had. No thank you for the business and give me the feel good feeling that if a problem came up to call them for assistance. I understand that during this COVID-19 crisis we were in that things do go array and things can be forgotten. They worked under this stress for the month of July. I do highly recommend Barnes Pool to take care of all your pool requirements. They build beautiful pools and do great renovations.

About Barnes Pools

We checked Barnes Pools of Lee County against every pool builder in Florida — what license CPC021423 covers, what they build, and where they stand.

Who they are

Barnes Pools works from Old US 41 in Lee County. Their older Florida pool contractor license, CPC021423, has been current since 1981 — forty-five years, the longest unbroken registration on this site by some margin. A second license was added in 2001. Whatever else a record like that means, it means the company has been answering the phone through several housing crashes.

What homeowners say

Google shows 4.4 from 25 reviews, just under the Florida average of 4.52 — close enough that a couple of jobs either way would settle it. Twenty-five reviews is a moderate sample: enough to show a pattern, not enough to be certain of one. Three reviewers name the quality of the finished build. No complaint recurs across enough separate customers to name one.

What they build

New pool construction, renovation and repair, with spa work on the same list. Project photographs are published on the site, though fewer than most — eight. The site itself was updated in July 2026, so it is a current record rather than an abandoned one.

We want to make Quick Quote deserve its name. Unopened after an hour, it may pass to another licensed builder who covers the Fort Myers area. Not to more than one at a time.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Is Barnes Pools licensed?

Yes. Two Florida pool contractor licenses are on record, CPC021423 current since 1981 and CPC057248 since 2001.

How long have they been trading?

Their license has been continuously current since 1981 — forty-five years. That is a matter of public record rather than a marketing claim, and it is the longest unbroken registration among the builders on this site.

What do their reviews say?

Google shows 4.4 from 25 reviews, a shade under the Florida average of 4.52. Three reviewers name the build quality. Twenty-five is a moderate sample — a pattern, rather than a settled verdict.

Where do they work?

From Old US 41 in Lee County, on the south-west coast. They publish no individual town pages, so confirm the travel radius on a call to (239) 433-5575.
