We had Cam from From the Ground Up Pools do our pool and I honestly couldn’t be happier. He was super easy to work with, always kept us in the loop, and actually cared about making sure everything was done right. The whole process went way smoother than I expected, and the pool turned out even better than I pictured. You can tell he takes pride in his work. If you’re thinking about getting a pool done, definitely go with him. 10/10 recommend.
From the ground up Installed a new pool and updated my backyard, Cam was amazing during the entire process, on time and under budget . I would highly recommend from the ground up to anyone. They are worth the $ Thank you for transforming my boring back yard to a beautiful piece of paradise. ❤️
From The Ground Up Pools was absolutely incredible to work with. I was able to make every decision with confidence knowing they would deliver a top notch product! Their showroom was fantastic and allowed me to see everything that was going into the pool in person. That really sold it for me! Honest, professional and even with all the changes and upgrades I made, never changed the cost. Incredible company.

From The Ground Up Pools of Seminole: licensed since 2021, a clean 5.0 on Google from twenty reviews, with written pages for Clearwater, St.
From The Ground Up Pools works out of Seminole in Pinellas County. Their Florida contractor license, CPC1459557, was issued in January 2021 and is current — five years, so an established young company rather than a brand new one. The website is much newer than the license, registered only in August 2025, which is the ordinary sequence for a builder who traded on word of mouth first and got round to a proper site later. They describe themselves as a premier pool builder, which is marketing rather than a position anyone holds on the record. Their customers refer to the owner by first name throughout, which is usually the mark of a small operation where you deal with the same person from quote to handover.
New pool construction, renovation of existing pools, repairs, ongoing pool service, spas and hot tubs, water features, screen enclosures and outdoor living work. Screen enclosures are worth noting because relatively few builders here list them, and in Florida they often decide whether a pool actually gets used through the summer. None of the eight lines has a page of its own, but they publish twenty-four project photographs, which is a full set and the most useful thing on the site for judging finished work.
Seminole, and they publish their own written pages for Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Tampa — three places, each addressed as itself rather than a name dropped into a template. That is a modest but genuine documented service area across Pinellas and Hillsborough, and a short honest list is worth more than a long invented one. They keep weekday hours and are closed at weekends. Their site is the most actively maintained on this list: they were writing on it within the last few days, an article about pool water features in Tampa Bay. A builder still updating their own website in August is a builder who is trading.
A clean 5.0 on Google from twenty reviews, comfortably above the 4.52 Florida average for the builders we hold. Twenty reviews is a real sample rather than a handful — past the point where friends and family could account for it — and not a single customer has rated them below top marks. Five separate customers name their professionalism and three the quality of what was built, and both themes clear our floor, which on twenty reviews takes genuine consistency. The specific accounts are about the things that go wrong most often elsewhere on this list: being kept in the loop throughout, and being able to make decisions confidently because the answers were straight. There are no negative reviews at all and no complaint theme to report. The honest caution is about size rather than quality: five years of trading and twenty reviews is a shorter record than the twenty-year firms here, and a small operation built around one person carries the risk that comes with that — if they are busy, you wait, and there is less depth behind them if something goes wrong mid-build. Nothing on the record suggests it has. On the evidence available this is one of the cleanest profiles on the list, and the thing to ask about is capacity and timing rather than competence.

A 5.0 on Google from twenty reviews, above the 4.52 Florida average, with no negative reviews at all. Five customers name their professionalism and three the build quality — both clearing our reporting floor, which takes real consistency on a sample this size. The accounts emphasise being kept informed and getting straight answers.
Their license, CPC1459557, was issued in January 2021 and is current, so about five years. The website is newer, registered in August 2025 — the usual sequence for a builder who worked on word of mouth first.
They are based in Seminole and publish their own written pages for Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Tampa, so that is a genuine documented service area across Pinellas and Hillsborough. A short list written properly is better evidence than a long templated one. Anything beyond those is worth a phone call.
Nothing in the reviews — there are no complaints on record. The honest caution is about scale: a five-year-old operation with twenty reviews, built around one person, means less depth behind you if something goes wrong mid-build, and waiting if they are busy. Ask about their current workload and the start date before you commit.
Renovation, repairs, ongoing pool service, spas and hot tubs, water features, screen enclosures and outdoor living work. Screen enclosures are worth noting — few builders here list them, and in Florida they often decide whether a pool gets used in summer.
