Hawaiian Island Pools made our backyard the best part of our house! From the very first phone call to set the initial meeting to the very end of this project the communication from Wes and his team has been consistent, clear and prompt. Every time we had a question (which there were a lot) or change request we were able to speak with Wes and received the answer the same day. Each step of this process was smooth, easy and completed when we were told it would be. One of my favorite things the past month was coming home each day and seeing all the progress made during the day. They were here early everyday and each team member worked so hard to get this pool project completed timely. We were swimming within one month from dig day. We met with several different pool builders before choosing Wes and his team and we could not be any happier with our decision and how this pool project turned out. Wes is knowledgable, professional and always made us feel comfortable when asking questions or for his opinion. We absolutely love our backyard space now and highly recommend Hawaiian Island Pools!
If you’re looking to have a pool installed, this is the company to go with. We had estimates from five companies total and not only were they the most fair price, but they were the most experienced and professional. The product manager Wes was really great to work with from start to finish. Being in construction, we’re familiar with how projects can go and he made sure everything finished up just the way we liked it. If you’re unfamiliar with construction, there’s always some curveballs and Jill at the office was also lovely to work. She was very patient with questions we had and gave us a lot of helpful insight throughout the project. Especially helping us understand the difference between fiberglass and concrete. Their paver team is one of the best I’ve seen hands down. Can’t be happier with this project and it was roughly 24 days, Basically, a month. Very impressive. Thank you, Wes and Jill, for helping us create our beautiful Sanctuary at home and our favorite place to be with our family. If you’re looking to building a backyard with a pool and making memories, don’t waste your time looking around and call Hawaiian island Pools. They’re the best in the area.
We were so happy to find Hawaiian Island Pools! After receiving bids and meeting with several other pool companies we decided to go with them for several reasons. Not only were they reasonably priced, the service and attention from our project manager Mike was second to none. My biggest pet peeve is hiring a contractor then maybe they call you back a few days later and maybe update you on progress. This company was on point! Mike kept us constantly updated. He would return our calls/texts almost immediately!! His knowledge of the pool business is impressive! We trusted him 100% and he delivered every promise. We have always had concrete pools in our homes so we can't speak to the quality of fiberglass long term as we just passed inspection but I can tell you that the fiberglass manufacturer they partner with is top tier. There are several colors to choose from and there are easily over 100 shapes. The construction crews were FAST and solid professionals. They arrived when scheduled and finished when promised. We are extremely pleased with our choice and would recommend without hesitation.

Hawaiian Island Pools: fibreglass specialists across Tampa Bay, licensed since 1997, and what to check. FloridaPoolz.
Hawaiian Island Pools holds two current Florida licenses under two qualifying agents — residential pool license RP0066899, current since January 1997, and pool contractor certification CPC1461196 since September 2025. Twenty-nine years on the older one is a long record. They hold published awards, which unlike the "top rated" and "third generation" claims elsewhere on their site can actually be checked.
New pool construction, renovation, repair and servicing, spas, water features, screen enclosures and outdoor living work — and fibreglass is a genuine focus rather than a listing: their most recently revised page argues the case for it. Fibreglass is a different build from gunite in cost, timeline and what can be shaped, so if that is what you want this is a builder who has thought about it. They publish pages written for sixteen towns across Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough, plus Key West.
4.8 from 106 Google reviews, comfortably above the Florida pool builder average of 4.52 and on a count large enough to be dependable. The praise is broad rather than narrow: eight customers raised professionalism independently, seven the build quality, three their keeping to schedule and three the communication. No complaint theme was raised by two or more people.
Their site advertises a lifetime structural warranty, which no public record confirms — ask for the document, what it covers and who honours it. Key West sits a long way from the Tampa Bay towns in the rest of their list, so confirm a crew genuinely works your address. And ask which of the two licenses covers your job: a residential pool license and a contractor certification permit different work, and the certification is only a year old.

4.8 on Google from 106 reviews, against a state average of 4.52. Comfortably above the field on a dependable sample.
It is a genuine focus — their most recently revised page makes the case for it. Fibreglass differs from gunite in cost, timeline and shape, so ask how many they have installed.

It is their own claim and no public record confirms it. Ask for the document, what it covers and who honours it. Their awards, by contrast, are published and checkable.
