The best and the worst from each platform. Both, always.
The pool and the enclosure turned out beautiful, we are very pleased. Mike was always very professional, friendly and courteous. He was exceptional at getting back to us when we had questions and concerns, even on a Saturday night at 8:30. He continues this service after the pool has been completed. Our pool was completed in a reasonable time frame with no weather related issues. At the start we asked about any possible hidden costs or add ons we might encounter and Mike assured us that he couldn't think of anything we hadn't discussed, as there were options available, such as railings, special tiles or special pavers, etc. The final cost was exactly what was quoted. We did have a pump running for numerous weeks due to high ground water under the pool, Mike did explain that there was a good chance we would experience this due to the location. We would definitely hire Mike Dean Pools again!! No regrets.
Their srivers need to remember when they're towing trailers and changing lanes that need room for the trailers. If I had not slammed on my brakes his trailer would have hit my truck
Our pool was finished some time in July of this year and we have LOVED every second of it! Mike was super helpful and transparent through the whole process, anything we needed or had questions on he never hesitated on helping us. Even to this day if we hit him up with questions or concerns he is super attentive and responsive and we appreciate that! Now look at this beauty. The pool came out so beautiful, we loved all the colors and finishes we chose, everything has been working as it should also. Everyone who comes over always compliments on this space and we love it- we have birthdays here, get togethers, we love that our home has turned into that space for everyone to come together. Thank you Mike and your crew! 11/10 recommend.
Called Mike Dean about something as simple as a handrail to be installed in my pool. Mike could not do it nor would he tell me his guy that he uses to help me. Couldn't even get a quote. If you do not build a new pool with him he does not want to know you. pretty sad.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I couldn’t be happier with the work Mike Deal Pools did on our pool and deck! From start to finish, Mike and his team were professional, efficient, and truly cared about bringing our vision to life. The quality of their work is outstanding, and the finished result exceeded all our expectations. If you’re looking for a reliable and skilled team, I highly recommend Mike Deal Pools. They made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Fantastic job, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our beautiful new pool and deck!"
If you are thinking of getting a pool installed, stop shopping and call Mike Dean Pools. Mike has installed two pools for us over the years and honestly, I wouldn’t get anyone else.. He was on time and made our pool build experience a pleasant one. His pricing is better than others and he deliverers what he says he will do. The build went smoothly and with no issues.. He come out after the pool was completed to make sure we were happy with everything that was done.. His workers were pleasant and made sure that everything was cleaned up after they were done working for the day.. We couldn’t be more happier with the quality and design of our pool.. Thank You Mike Dean Pools for another beautiful pool. Ken and Patti Gelinas AUBURNDALE Florida.

Mike Dean Pools of Winter Haven: a residential pool license held since 2002, 4.1 on Google from 56 reviews.
Mike Dean Pools works out of Winter Haven in Polk County, from a post box rather than a shopfront, which is normal for a builder who works on site. Their Florida license is a residential pool license, RP252554736, issued in August 2002 and current — more than two decades of unbroken certification. It is also one of the few licenses on this list that does not renew in August 2026: theirs runs to 2027. This is a small, long-established operation rather than a large firm, and the reviews read that way too: customers name Mike himself rather than a sales process.
New pool construction and water features. That is the whole list, and on a page full of builders offering seven services each, a short list from a twenty-year license holder is worth reading as focus rather than as a limitation. What it does mean is that anything outside building a pool may not be work they take: one customer's complaint is precisely that, and it is covered below. Their license is a residential pool license, so residential work is what it certifies. They publish twenty-four project photographs, which is the most useful thing on their site.
Winter Haven and the Polk County area. They publish no pages for individual towns, so there is no documented service area — treat central Polk as the sensible assumption and confirm anything further by phone. Their website is the weak point of this profile: the most recently changed page dates from 2016, which makes it around a decade old, though there was other activity as recently as this spring, so the business is trading. A stale website on a current license with recent reviews means the neglect is of the marketing, not of the work — but it does mean the site will not tell you what they are doing now. Phone them.
Google has them at 4.1 from 56 reviews, which is about four tenths below the 4.52 Florida average for the builders we hold. Fifty-six reviews is a meaningful sample, so that gap is a real if modest signal rather than noise. Underneath the average, though, the detail is warmer than the number suggests: eight separate customers name their professionalism and six the quality of the build, and the strongest reviews are the kind that only come from finished work — one customer has had two pools installed by them over the years and recommends stopping the search there. No complaint theme reaches our floor of two customers raising the same thing, so there is no recurring problem to report. The individual low reviews are worth knowing because of what they are about rather than how many: one customer wanted a handrail fitted, could not get it done and could not get a referral either, which fits a small builder who does new pools and not odd jobs. Another is about one of their trailers on the road and says nothing about pool building at all. Read the 4.1 as a focused builder with a good record on the work they actually take on, and ask up front whether your job is the kind they do.

Google has them at 4.1 from 56 reviews, a little below the 4.52 Florida average. Eight customers name their professionalism and six the build quality, and one has had two pools built by them over the years. No problem was raised by two or more customers, so there is no recurring issue. The low reviews are individual: one about a handrail job they would not take, one about a driver on the road.
Their residential pool license, RP252554736, was issued in August 2002 and is current — over twenty years. Unusually for this list it does not renew on the August 2026 statewide date; theirs runs to 2027.
Probably not. They list new pool construction and water features only, and one customer's complaint is exactly this — a handrail installation they would not take on and would not refer elsewhere. If your job is a repair, a service call or a small addition, ask before you spend time on it.
Because it is — the most recently changed page dates from 2016. But the license is current and there was activity as recently as this spring, and the reviews are recent, so the business is trading. What is neglected is the website, not the work. It does mean the site will not tell you what they are building now, so phone them.
They are based in Winter Haven and publish no pages for individual towns, so there is no documented service area. Central Polk County is the sensible assumption; anything further afield is worth a call.
