In ground pool and waterfall. I asked around and got lots of Pool recommendations from people locally. By far the most recommended company was pools by Greg. I got quotes from the top recommended companies but Pools by Greg was so much better priced than their competitors. The price was so much better than if they hadn’t been so highly recommended, I would’ve been concerned. Now that I have a pool- i want to give them a review and say they’re an amazing company. Design sales installation every step of the way they’ve been amazing. A pool is expensive and I was picky. They did an amazing job. It’s absolutely gorgeous. An example of how awesome they were is I picked a different tile for my steps than the walls which is uncommon. The tile guy installed the wrong tile on the stairs. The very next morning before I even thought about it or reached out the supervisor was at my door apologizing. Honestly, it looked good so I was kinda on the fence just letting it stay. But the supervisor was like nope we messed up, You should absolutely get what you want. This is your pool you’re gonna be looking at it every day let us fix it. Mind blown- that is amazing. You cannot get better customer service than that. And being so on top of the job that in less than 24 hours, they were communicating with me and had a plan for fixing it before I even realized their was an error. 1000% recommend. 💙💙💙

Pools by Greg just finished a pool for us and we love the product. They were professional from start to finish and designed and built a beautiful pool at a reasonable (for the current market) price. Our salesman, Frank G. went out of his way to help us with the design. he was patient and wanted to make sure we got exactly what we wanted in our new pool. The permitting took a bit of time, but you just have to be patient. Once they got the permits the dig took place and they had it formed, with rebar very quickly. The pool went relatively quickly for a period of time but there are always going to be scheduling difficulties when doing such a project. They have to battle weather, staffing and materials factors so patience is what you need when contracting ith any pool company. We had a small scheduling snafu when it came to the screen, but it was scheduled and put up in only a few days. The screen company even called me and moved our screen build up a few days... The people at PBG are fantastic. From Terry (owner), to Frank G, to Shawn, to Ashley and Jeremy are all great. I have to give a special shout out to Esau. When we were getting to the end and my patience was waning Esau came through and made things happen. He knew I was on a specific timeline and he did everything in his power to get our job done. Esau also made sure I was happy as a customer. He communicated with me and helped us get to the finish line. Another person I really need to point out is the tile guy, Keith Iserna. He goes above and beyond to make sure the tile is perfect before leaving. We have a table in our pool and he made sure it was level and absolutely beautiful before leaving the job. He has been working there for a long time and is easily one of, if not the best in the whole area. Also need to give a huge shout out to Shawn. She put up with weekly telephone calls from me asking about progress and next steps. All in all we would select them again. They are awesome.

We had an outstanding experience with Pools by Greg in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, professional, and enjoyable, even though it took a little longer than planned. Our journey began with Sonja, who handled the initial meeting and design. She was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, helping us shape our vision into a beautiful and functional outdoor pool and spa design. Throughout the project, Shawn in the office kept everything running seamlessly. Communication was excellent and we always felt informed about the progress and next steps. On-site, our supervisor Esau was fantastic. He was attentive, responsive, and clearly committed to making sure everything was done right. It was reassuring to know someone so experienced was overseeing the work every step of the way. The final step was pool training with Joel, who walked us through the automation system and the mechanical operation of the equipment. He explained everything clearly and made sure we felt comfortable managing the system. The entire team was amazing. They use top-quality materials and premium Pentair pool equipment, which really shows in the finished product. Pools by Greg truly helped make our outdoor pool and spa dreams come true. We are thrilled with the result and highly recommend them to anyone looking to build a pool in the Port Saint Lucie area. Thank you to the entire team! 👍🎯💯

About Pools by Greg Inc

Pools by Greg of Port St Lucie: 3.8 on Google from 116 reviews, nearly a point below the Florida average on a sample large enough to be a pattern.

Who they are

Pools by Greg works out of South Federal Highway in Port St Lucie, St. Lucie County. Their Florida contractor license, CPC1458338, was issued in February 2013 and is current — thirteen years of unbroken certification — and the domain has been registered since 2006, so the name is older than the license. That sequence is ordinary and has innocent explanations; ask them about the years rather than reading either date as the founding one. They keep Saturday hours as well as weekdays, which makes arranging a site visit easier than with most builders here.

What they build

New pool construction, renovation of existing pools, ongoing pool service, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living work. Six lines, none with a page of its own. They publish nine project photographs and maintain a pool designs showcase page, which they last updated in April — that page is the most useful thing on the site for judging their finished work, and worth more attention than the service list.

Where they work

Port St Lucie, with pages for Stuart, Fort Pierce, Hobe Sound and Okeechobee as well. Those pages are one template with the city name swapped rather than pages written about each place, so we do not treat them as documented reach — though the geography is coherent, which is more than some on this list manage. Read it as St. Lucie and Martin counties with a reach inland to Okeechobee, and confirm your own address by phone. There was activity on the site at the end of July, so the business is trading.

What the record shows

Google has them at 3.8 from 116 reviews, and that combination is the thing to weigh. Three-point-eight is seven tenths below the 4.52 Florida average for the builders we hold — a substantial gap — and the important part is that it rests on 116 reviews. A low score on a dozen reviews is noise; a low score on more than a hundred is a pattern, and this is a pattern. It means a meaningful minority of their customers have been unhappy enough to say so publicly, consistently, over time. That is the single most important fact on this page and it should not be softened. What we cannot do is tell you what those customers were unhappy about. No complaint reaches our floor of two customers naming the same thing, so there is no theme we are entitled to report — and we are not going to guess at one. A 3.8 across 116 reviews with no single recurring complaint means the dissatisfaction is real but its reasons are spread thin rather than concentrated in one failing. Read the low-star reviews on their listing yourself before deciding; that is where the answer is. What is on record here is genuinely positive: ten separate customers name their professionalism and five the quality of what was built, and the detailed accounts describe pools designed and built well and processes that ran smoothly from start to finish. Both halves are true at once — a solid majority who are pleased, and a minority large enough to pull the average down almost a full point. If you are considering them, go in with the ordinary protections: written scope, written schedule, written warranty, and a named contact. And read the one-star reviews first.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

What do the reviews actually say?

Google has them at 3.8 from 116 reviews, about seven tenths below the 4.52 Florida average. On a sample that large the gap is a pattern rather than noise. At the same time the positive reviews are specific: ten customers name their professionalism and five the build quality. Both things are true — a solid majority pleased, and a minority large enough to pull the average down almost a full point.

What are the unhappy customers complaining about?

We cannot tell you, and we will not guess. No complaint reaches our floor of two customers naming the same thing, so there is no theme we are entitled to report. The 3.8 across 116 reviews is real, so the dissatisfaction is real — but it is spread across many different issues rather than one recurring failing. Read the one and two-star reviews on their listing yourself before deciding.

Should the rating put me off?

It should make you cautious and thorough rather than decide for you. Unlike a low score on a dozen reviews, 3.8 across 116 is a settled pattern. Go in with a written scope, a written schedule with dates, written warranty terms and a named contact — and read the low-star reviews first, because that is where the reasons will be.

Which areas do they cover, and when are they open?

They are in Port St Lucie and publish pages for Stuart, Fort Pierce, Hobe Sound and Okeechobee, but those are one template with the city swapped, so treat them as marketing. St. Lucie and Martin counties with a reach to Okeechobee is the sensible reading. They keep Saturday hours as well as weekdays.
