We had several pool contractors here to quote our project! We were new about pools and were hoping to get all of our questions answered! We choose Popa pools, they weren't the cheapest and not the most expensive! Phil came out to our home, we told him what we were looking for and he delivered it to us! It was a long process due to the weather ( summer install) but we didnt care as long as it was done correctly. They started it in April and it was finished by August just in time for us to return from Michigan. We are enjoying this gem daily and would like to thank Brandon and Phil for making this dream a reality. Both owners were very responsive when called and came out each time we had questions during the process. Doing this from far away was a challenge for us but between cameras and friends watching the process we got thru it. Thank you Phil and Brandon for making our dream come true.

Had them redo our pool and they left a stain yet wont fix the problem. The gout is also crumbling and very weak. The tiles are also uneven. They wont respond to our phone calls and are ignoring us.

After Hurricane Ian Popa Pools rebuilt our lanai, pool cage, new pool finish as well as a new paver surround. There were one or two product missteps, however Brandon Popa was on site to catch and correct the errors. He is an excellent contractor, he is in control and will make it right. We just went through Helene and Milton, No Damage to any of his completed work. His Quality, Is Quality.

Unfortunately, a friend highly recommended Brendan and it’s been nothing but terrible outcome! The pool looked great when they completed. Paid A-LOT of money. The pool began staining, the tiles and grout began to crumble after three weeks. The unprofessionalism displayed by their actions are disappointing. I’ve stopped at the office, I’ve called, I’ve written. I am filing a claim with the courts if he continues to ignore me and discount his work. They do not respond, they ignore you when you pay up… I would not recommend this company at all, RUN!

Popa Pools constructed a custom pool and hot tub for us. They were so easy to work with and always kept in touch with us. Popa Pools definitely provided quality work and personal service. I couldn't love my pool any more. I would give more stars if I could and recommend them to anyone interested in a pool or service. The table with bench seating is my favorite part of my pool. Frosty beverage anyone?

Probably the most unprofessional support of any company I’ve experienced yet. Popa pools installed this pool 3 years prior to my purchasing the house, it developed a leak that I had temporarily fixed. I called papa pools and Brandon told me, very quickly that I had no warranty claim, as I didn’t pay the $500 dollar transfer fee. Oh well I said, I would still like you to do the repair as it was your install, no problem was Brandon’s answer. It has been over three months now with repeated phone calls, with the promise to return my calls, but no one ever does. I even asked them to recommend someone else if they didn’t want to do the job, after speaking directly to them, (Oh I’ll call back before the end of the day) no return call. I highly recommend staying away from a business that cannot support its work, unacceptable, unprofessional!!

Quick Quote

We want to make Quick Quote deserve its name. Unopened after an hour, it may pass to another licensed builder who covers the Port Charlotte area. Not to more than one at a time.

About Popa Pools & Spas

We checked Popa Pools & Spas of Port Charlotte against every pool builder in Florida — their licenses, what they build, and where they stand.

Who they are

Popa Pools & Spas works from Tiseo Boulevard in Port Charlotte, Charlotte County. Two Florida pool contractor licenses sit with the company, the first current since 2001 — twenty-five years — and both are qualified in the family name it trades under, which usually means a second generation has come into the business.

What the reviews say, both halves

Google shows 4.0 from 30 reviews, against a Florida average of 4.52, so they sit half a point under it. Four reviewers name the way the crew conducted itself. Two raise the quality of the finished build, and that belongs here unsoftened: two out of thirty is a caution rather than a verdict, but build quality is the expensive thing to get wrong and the hardest to put right afterwards. Ask to see finished work of the kind you want, and ask who will be on site.

Where they work

They publish genuinely separate pages — written for each place rather than one template with the town swapped — for Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Port, Nokomis and Sarasota. That is a coherent stretch of the Gulf coast, and individually written pages are a fair sign they work those areas rather than merely list them.

What they build

New pool construction, renovation, repair and ongoing service, with spas, water features and outdoor living work.
