Not only did Villagers Choice Pool and Spa do an amazing job building my pool, they do an awesome job maintaining it. I was doing it myself for the first several months and didn't know there was so much I was missing after talking to Cody about a question I had with the filter. He came out, looked over my system, showed me where I was missing some items that needed to be maintained and I felt so much more comfortable hiring them instead of doing it myself. That way, they can also monitor the equipment and keep an eye out for anything a pool expert would see that I wouldn't. I am VERY happy with my decision to hire them for weekly maintenance. Cody is a super cool, very personalble dude, like everyone has been at VCPS. He is extremely effecient and makes sure I'm happy with the service. I could not ask for a better experience. Villagers Choice Pool & Spa is genuinely outstanding; experienced, professional, reliable, and communicative. We had chosen a house with a very small backyard, on purpose. Turned out, that made our project a bit more challenging. VCP&S made it seem easy. They took us from the design phase to a turnkey backyard resort in a remarkably short time. They handled all the paperwork, permitting and inspections. Nothing was allowed to slip. From the office staff, to the build crew, to the subcontractors (that VCP&S vets, arranges, and supervises) everyone on the project was great. Special thanks to Daniel, Alex, Ariz, and Cam. This is our first pool, and on completion we decided to trust VCP&S' own Best Choice Pool Service to get us established. We’re so glad we did. As expected, Cody is professional, reliable, and personable. He’s as patient with a new pool owner's questions, as he is with the Jack Russell who follows his every move around the pool. We interviewed several companies before making our decision. Villagers Choice Pool & Spa won our trust with their presentation and background, and they earned it with their results.
It's been a little over a week since the completion of our project. My wife and I have been settling in to what can only be described as a Dream come true. Let's rewind.. 😊 in late February I met Alex and Daniel through my business. When I learned they had started a pool company with their combined almost 50 years experience, I decided to share with them "Our Pool Dilemma". Six years into our new home, our pool had taken a turn for the worst. A terrible leak, stains beyond repair, tiles falling off. The surrounding deck area was in decline as well. Stress fractures everywhere, a busted decca drain and concrete just sinking. Yikes. I meet people in the pool business all the time and have searched for someone to come in and show us the way. Our attempts have always been in vain. Almost 20 years in Citrus County we come to expect that. Everyone too busy and can only promise to do one part and refer you to others for the rest. Back to my chance encounter with VCPS. The guys came over, drew up plans, told us they could start almost immediately and assured us they would go till it was done! Our biggest fear was someone coming in and tearing up our property then disappearing for weeks at a time. This was not going to be the case. Within days we received our renderings of our new pool. Looked incredible. We held our breath waiting for the estimate. After all my research for years, the numbers came in somewhat where we expected. The only question now was do we trust these guys with no reviews or references?? Lol I don't trust anyone. Make it a point not to. Just who I am. However, my wife and I do consider ourselves great judges of character. Kind of big leap of faith here, but we agreed. They are the ones. We came to an accord and set a start date. The adventure had begun. Let me be clear, as I was with them, this is our first home and have never signed on to a project of this magnitude. They understood the assignment and day one showed up with their team and began. It was insane! Totally gutted out almost everything day one. Began cutting the new section of pool. My goodness what a disaster field lol! We were beside ourselves and immediately wondering what the heck did we get into. What I noticed early on was despite doing what they needed to do, they took time at the end of every work day and remembered that hey these people still live here with their dogs. They really made it as liveable as possible. This was a huge job. Massive surgery had begun. It would be many weeks of this and at times seemed overwhelming. What made it easier to understand was the constant updates every day. The crews showing up at 7:30 and working through 5 and beyond every day. Constant progress was seen through the concrete dust and our crazy minds found peace. We had our moments of anxiety and frustrations but the team had patience with us. It was appreciated and made for a wonderful project team. As we approached the finish line, it was obvious we made the right choice. As I sit here now looking at it all, again what a dream come true. We went with the Hayward Salt water system and beautiful glass tiles because hey, you only live once. Had the whole deck set with gorgeous pavers. Best of luck with your project and give this team a chance. We are happy we did. Bring on the Summer! We can't wait to share with our family!! Thank you Alex, Daniel and the entire team!!! It was beyond what we dreamed of. The final product and the process!!! 😊

Villager's Choice Pool & Spa of Lake County: Florida licensed since December 2023, a flat 5.0 on Google from 21 reviews, building custom pools.
Villager's Choice Pool & Spa is licensed out of Umatilla in Lake County and markets itself from Leesburg, which is where its Google listing sits — the two towns are a short drive apart, so both names attach to them. Florida contractor license CPC1460460 has been current since December 2023. That makes this a young company, and the review record below should be read with that in mind rather than against it.
Custom inground pools and spas, and screen enclosures. The enclosure work is worth noting: it is a separate trade from the pool shell and most builders on this list either subcontract it or leave it out entirely, so a company offering both can hand you one point of contact for the whole enclosed space. Their own description is design-and-build rather than build-to-plan.
The Lake County corridor — Umatilla, where the license sits, and Leesburg, which their own headline names. They publish no separate pages for other towns, so anything beyond that is a question for them rather than something the site establishes. Their website is actively looked after: the gallery was updated within the last week, which on this list is unusual and is a fair sign of a business paying attention.
Google has them at a flat 5.0 from 21 reviews, against a 4.52 average across Florida's builders. Twenty-one reviews is a modest but real base — enough that a perfect score is not just a handful of friends, and not yet enough to have been tested by a difficult year. Six separate customers name their professionalism, and there is no complaint on record from anyone at all. One customer goes further than most and offers to show their finished pool to anyone deciding, which is not something a dissatisfied owner does. Set against that, the company has been licensed for under three years, so there is no long track record to lean on and no account yet of how they handle a job that goes wrong. The sensible approach is the one for any young builder with a good start: ask to see a pool finished a year ago rather than last month, keep payments behind completed stages, and get the enclosure scope written down separately from the pool scope so it is clear what is included.

Yes. Florida contractor license CPC1460460 has been current since December 2023.
A flat 5.0 across 21 reviews, above the 4.52 Florida average. Six customers name their professionalism and no complaint appears from anyone. One reviewer offers to show their finished pool to prospective customers, which is a stronger signal than a star rating.
Yes, alongside custom inground pools and spas. That is a separate trade from the pool itself and many builders leave it out, so it is worth asking for the enclosure to be scoped and priced as its own line rather than folded into the pool.
Both names are correct. The license is registered in Umatilla and the business lists and markets itself from Leesburg, a short distance away in the same county.
Licensed since December 2023, so under three years. The reviews are genuinely good, but there is no long record behind them — worth weighing both facts together rather than either alone.
