What a terrific job from beginning to end! In spite of terrible weather and material delays, Ritzcraft managed to complete the project on time. With anticipation of product material delays, Ritzcraft was proactive in delivering materials way in advance of the start date. We found Ritzcraft to be very customer oriented, polite and responsive. They were very creative, artistic and made suggestions throughout the process. Ritzcraft was also very receptive to suggested changes. We can clearly say the finished product is far beyond what we were expecting and hoping for. We highly recommend signing up for the 30 day pool maintenance service as soon as the plastering is done. What a bunch of team players from the top down! They should all be proud of themselves...

they resurface my pool in 2021. It was right after that I had a big long crack in the first step all the way across the step on the face edge in the front of that steps to the pool. They said they couldn’t do nothing about it because they couldn’t bust it up to fix it because they would have to break the whole pool apart so they put putty in it and it looked like crap. they also damage my edging around the pool when they were jackhammering inside pool they destroyed that they couldn’t do nothing about that because I would’ve had to replace all the edging around the pool all the tile work in the back part of the pool is cracked. they came with some putty when they fix the step and try to fix it. It’s still busted.I have another 2 foot long or better crack under the steps in the deep end and they tell me it’s from the sidewalk top surface cracking but there’s still like a 1 foot of tile edge (see photo of wide edging before side walk starts) before it gets to the side of pool you know the sidewalk didn’t crack the pool cause the sidewalk is like 6 foot above where the crack starts on side wall starts under step it starts, You know it has nothing to do with that crack they Said they couldn’t fix it plus my Warranty is out the warranty is a three-year warranty. It took him so long to come out that the warranty was over like a month before, So why did they even make an appointment and come out because they’re full of crap. They were very nasty unprofessional and had no idea what they’re talking about this will be the second time the pool has been done, They said there was a line crack in the pool that goes all the way a cross pool they seen when they looked at old pictures like there was cracks earlier… I said no it was a tile design line across this pool was done in the 70s That’s how you knowing the deep is on the other side of line from the shallow back then pool is 9 1/2 to 10 foot deep. They have no idea what they’re doing or talking about we lived in this house since the first pool was built. I can’t believe they’re getting a four star rating….They have no idea what they’re talking about so they most likely told me too bad. Then they said they shouldn’t of took the job anyway but they sure did take the money now they ain’t too bright talking like that. Are they. that’s customer service for you. Do you see any cracks by the steps in the deep in the old picture? There’s never been no cracks in that pool in the old surface plus look at the new surface all the white circles and the runs in the pool .This is just awful so I believe him when he told me they shouldn’t have took the job but the only thing I didn’t like is they sure took our money…

Our experience was outstanding! We needed significant work to be done: pool resurfacing, pavers installation and tiles replacement. We did a lot of research looking for reliable contractors. We interviewed a number of companies and used referrals for confirmation. We selected Ritzcraft pools and pavers and could not be any happier with our choice. Their price was fair (definitely not the cheapest, but we were not looking for the cheapest). It rarely happens, but our experience was positive every step of the way. The owner, David, was knowable, pleasant and reliable. I can't say enough about our project manager Bill. He is one of the best professionals I ever worked with. Excellent management and communication skills! Did everything they said they would do (maybe even a little more) on time and within our original contract. They just finished their work. Everything looks absolutely great and I can't be more grateful! I will publish a copy of this review on all major websites. It helped me in my research and I hope it would help other people. I will ask them to use me as a reference and will be happy to show our new pool to their potential clients. Luda and Peter U

My son and daughter in law hired this company. First they did not cover any of the outdoor furniture or even move it out of the lania and cover it. Dust every where. I spent 4 hours moving the outdoor furniture out of their lania and washing it down. I did this because this company just kept it they way it was for several weeks. I had contractors and many are excellent and some shouldn't even have a license to do work. They lie through their teeth to get your business/money. I saw so many errors and this company is negligent. I should bill them for my service of cleaning up their mess and my son should sue them for partial reimbursement for the crappy workmanship they did. Florida Legislators need better laws on protecting victims instead of protecting wrongdoers. Manatee County does crack down on incompetent businesses. Which they had a stronger hand then what the Florida Legislators give them.

David is the best. I had three quotes and his was the most reasonable for the product that was used - Pebbletec. The workman were efficient and professional and I was always informed of the next process. David was very accommodating when it came to my choices, and went out of his way to make me happy a number of times. Even though it rained, the work was never unreasonably delayed. A friend had his pool relined and the process started before mine. As we both admired my finished pool , he mentioned that his work had stalled time and time again, and wouldn't be finished for another two weeks, at least. I am so very happy that I chose Ritzcraft for my pool. It looks fantastic !!

No Good, Rotten Thieves. Avoid Ritzcraft Pools & Pavers at all costs. The owner David, his wife Ericka and Larry are good at two things: (1.) drawing pretty pictures of swimming pools, and (2.) lying . Long story short, they mis-quoted/mis-priced aspects of my pool/spa project by over $10,000 and tried to get me to pay for their error after the fact. Once they realized they had made the error, they dragged their feet with the project and tried so hard to cover their tracks, that they even went as far as forging documents. They held over $14,000 that I gave to them for 9 months and I am still trying to get them to release the the remaining funds. At this point, I have had to seek counsel to recover the monies and additional damages through litigation. Fortunately, I have signed contracts and records. As if the inconveniences and experience wasn't bad enough, they are incredibly rude and unprofessional. To be sure this wan't a one-off experience, look at the most recent Google and Yelp reviews. They are so terrible and dishonest, I wouldn't trust or recommend them to clean someone's pool, let alone construct one. If they come out cheaper than other quotes you may have gotten, know that you get what you pay for and they likely mis-quoted you.

About Ritzcraft Pools & Pavers, Inc

Ritzcraft Pools and Pavers of Sarasota: Florida licensed since 2019, 4.2 from 94 Google reviews against 2.5 on Yelp.

Who they are

Ritzcraft Pools and Pavers works out of Sarasota and holds Florida contractor license CPC1459267, current since April 2019. They describe themselves as family-owned, which no public record settles either way. Their site is actively maintained — the most recent change landed within days of this profile being built, and reviews arrive continuously.

What they build

New pool construction, renovation and resurfacing, servicing, spas, water features, screen enclosures, outdoor living and paver work. Resurfacing and paver installation come up as often as new builds in the accounts, so read them as a renovation business as much as a construction one. Where the good accounts agree is on the running of the job: ten customers name their professionalism, seven the communication and six their keeping to schedule — including one who describes the project finishing on time in spite of bad weather and material delays, which is the sort of specific that is hard to invent.

Where they work

Sarasota and Charlotte County, and they publish pages written for each of those rather than one template with the name swapped — so the reach is evidenced rather than asserted. They publish a substantial set of photographs of their own work, which lets you judge the finish for yourself.

What the record shows

The two platforms disagree sharply and both need reading. Google has them at 4.2 from 94 reviews — a decent score on a solid base. Yelp has them at 2.5 from 21. Together that averages 3.89 across 115, about two thirds of a point below the 4.52 average across Florida's builders. The positive record is real and broad, as above. But six separate customers describe the same thing about the work itself, and on 115 reviews six people agreeing is a pattern rather than a run of bad luck. What they agree on is specific: waterline tile improperly installed and coming away; pavers sinking two months after completion, then the same happening again where turf had been laid; a crack running across the top step after a resurface, which they were told could not be put right; a leak repaired and then lights failing the following year. Several describe most of the work being subcontracted and poorly supervised, one naming a project manager who did not communicate and another describing a language barrier on site that made it hard to say what they wanted. And running through several of these accounts is the same second complaint: that raising a defect was met with resistance rather than a repair — one customer was told they were being too picky about the tile. So the shape here is a company that sells well, schedules well and communicates well, and whose weak point is the finish and what happens when you challenge it. That is worth knowing precisely because the front half of the experience is good enough to be reassuring. If you use them, the things to settle in writing are the snagging process and who supervises the subcontractors: a defined walk-through at completion, a named person responsible for defects, and a term for pavers and tile specifically, since that is where these accounts concentrate.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Is Ritzcraft licensed?

Yes. Florida contractor license CPC1459267 has been current since April 2019.

Why is their Google rating so much better than their Yelp rating?

Google reads 4.2 from 94 reviews and Yelp 2.5 from 21, averaging 3.89 across 115 — about two thirds of a point below the 4.52 Florida average. The Google base is the larger and more positive; the Yelp accounts are more concerned with what happened after completion.

What are the complaints about?

The finish, from six separate customers. Waterline tile improperly installed and coming away; pavers sinking two months after completion and again where turf was laid; a crack across the top step after a resurface they were told could not be fixed; a leak repaired and lights failing the year after. Several describe the work being subcontracted and poorly supervised.

What do the positive reviews say?

Ten customers name their professionalism, seven the communication and six their keeping to schedule — one describing the job finishing on time despite bad weather and material delays. Four name the quality of the build. The selling and scheduling side of this company reviews well.

What should I settle before signing?

The snagging process and who supervises the subcontractors: a defined walk-through at completion, a named person responsible for defects, and a warranty term covering pavers and tile specifically. That is where these accounts concentrate, and several describe raising a defect being met with resistance rather than a repair.

Which areas do they cover?

Sarasota and Charlotte County, with pages genuinely written for each rather than duplicated.
