Excellent experience, time line to completion perfect.what I love the most is our construction manager Brandon kept us informed every step of the way and when he said work was going to be done it was!!!! Contractors showed up on the day he said they would. Very happy with the quality of work that was done ,the finished product is beautiful (pool). The professionalism and respect from the associates who’s office is right as you walk in is top tier!!!!!!!!! Julie is who we worked with to design our pool and put it all together,She was very warm and welcoming to do business with us from the start till the end,and then we worked with Brandon our project manager. Rob Recio the senior construction manager also made himself available if we had any problems or questions we could call him ! We just had our pool school with Sean ,they actually bring the school to you !!! Sean was amazing in teaching us about pool stuff and how to operate the equipment (information overload for me )lol great experience all the way around !!!! They have a model that’s easily 5 stars , I rate 5+ the pool came out better than we imagined!!!!! Thank you 🙏

Well… we officially have a pool! 🎉🍹 What I expected to be months of construction, dust, and “maybe next week” turned into one of the smoothest home improvement projects we’ve ever experienced. Construction kicked off on June 1, and today, July 31, we wrapped things up with Pool School. Less than two months later, we’re swimming instead of staring at a construction site. That’s pretty impressive. Huge shoutout to Brandon, our project manager, who was on top of everything from day one. If we had a question, he had an answer. If something needed attention, it was already being handled. You really can’t ask for better communication than that. And today, Sean made Pool School surprisingly fun. He walked us through everything we need to know about running the pool and spa, answered every random question we could think of, and left us feeling like we might actually know what we’re doing… at least until I accidentally press the wrong button. To the entire Tampa Bay Pools team—thank you for making this process easy, efficient, and honestly exciting. Great people, great communication, and an incredible turnaround. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some very important floating to do. 😎🏊‍♂️ If I ever build another pool, I already know exactly who I’m calling. Highly recommend!

We are absolutely thrilled with our new pool! From our very first meeting to the final walkthrough, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Julie, who made the design and planning process enjoyable and stress-free. She was knowledgeable, patient, and truly cared about helping us create the backyard of our dreams. An even bigger thank you to our amazing project manager, Rob. He was exceptional from start to finish—professional, responsive, organized, and always one step ahead. He kept us updated throughout the entire project and made sure every detail was completed with outstanding quality and craftsmanship. We were originally told the project would take about 12 weeks, but thanks to Rob’s incredible coordination and the hard work of the entire team, our beautiful pool was completed in just 8 weeks! Even more impressive, the speed never came at the expense of quality. The finished product is absolutely stunning. Every time we step into our backyard, it feels like we’re at a luxury resort. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and overall beauty of the pool have completely transformed our home. Thank you, Julie and Rob, for making our dream a reality. Your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence made this an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend your team to anyone looking for a beautiful, high-quality pool and an outstanding customer experience! We couldn’t be happier! 🌴☀️🏊‍♂️

About Tampa Bay Pools

Tampa Bay Pools on the Gulf of Brandon: 4.6 on Google from 559 reviews, above the Florida average, written pages for thirteen area towns.

Who they are

Tampa Bay Pools on the Gulf works out of Lithia Pinecrest Road in Brandon, Hillsborough County. Their Florida contractor license, CPC1460499, is current and was issued in January 2024. Their domain, though, has been registered since 2001 and the site was already archived in 2002 — so the web presence is more than two decades old while the license in this company's name is recent. Both things are true and we are not going to guess at the join between them: a license can be newly issued to a long-standing operation for several innocent reasons. If years in business matters to you, ask them directly and ask for the earlier trading name.

What they build

The broadest offering on our list so far: new pool construction, renovation of existing pools, repairs, ongoing service, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living. Seven distinct lines of work, though none of them has a page to itself, so the website groups rather than details them. Their award claim is the one that stands up — there is a published record behind it, which is more than most builders here can show. Two other claims do not stand up the same way: a lifetime warranty is not something any public record can confirm, and while the license is real, insurance is not verifiable by anyone outside the company. Get both in writing before you sign, which is ordinary good practice rather than a warning about them.

Where they work

This is the strongest documented service area we have seen. They publish their own written pages for Brandon, Tampa, Riverview, Apollo Beach, Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, North Port, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Dade City, Zephyrhills and San Antonio — thirteen places, each with wording aimed at that area rather than a name swapped into a template. That is a real footprint across Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte and Pasco, not a claim to cover the state. They keep weekday hours and are closed at weekends. Their site was updated this month and there was activity on it within the last few days, which puts them among the small minority here that genuinely tends to its own website.

What the record shows

Google has them at 4.6 from 559 reviews. The rating is a little above the 4.52 Florida average for the builders we hold, but the number that matters here is 559: this is by far the largest body of customer feedback on our list, and at that volume a 4.6 is not luck or a good month. It is what this company does most of the time, and it is the single most reliable thing on this page. The praise names specifics rather than adjectives — nine separate customers on their professionalism, five on communication through the build, five on the quality of what was built. No complaint theme was raised by two or more customers, which across 559 reviews is genuinely unusual; a firm this size normally accumulates at least one recurring gripe. Where they overreach is in the marketing: best, premier, number one and top rated all appear, and none of those is a position anyone can hold on the record. The 4.6 across 559 is the real claim, and it is a better one than the slogans.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

What do the reviews actually say?

Google sits at 4.6 across 559 reviews, slightly above the 4.52 Florida average. The volume is the point: at 559 reviews a 4.6 is a settled pattern rather than a good run. Nine customers name their professionalism, five their communication during the build and five the build quality, and no complaint was raised by two or more customers.

How long have they been in business?

We can tell you two separate facts and not a conclusion. Their license, CPC1460499, was issued in January 2024 and is current. Their website domain has been registered since 2001 and the site was archived as early as 2002. A recent license on a long-established web presence has several innocent explanations, so ask them directly rather than reading either date as the founding year.

Which areas do they actually cover?

They publish their own written pages for thirteen places: Brandon, Tampa, Riverview, Apollo Beach, Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, North Port, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Dade City, Zephyrhills and San Antonio. That is a documented footprint rather than a claim, spanning Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte and Pasco counties.

Are the awards and the lifetime warranty real?

The award claim has a published record behind it, so it holds up on their own evidence. The lifetime warranty does not — no public record confirms a warranty, and it is only worth what the written document says. They also describe themselves as licensed and insured: the license is real and current, but insurance cannot be verified from outside the company. Ask for the certificate and the warranty terms in writing.

What do they build besides new pools?

Renovation of existing pools, repairs, ongoing pool service, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living work. Seven lines in total, though none has a dedicated page, so the twenty-four project photographs they publish are a better guide to the finished work than the service list is.
