Collinsbuilt is the ONLY pool company we would recommend in all of Florida. Not only did they design and build an exquisite, unique pool for our family, but the entire process was smooth, professional, and reassuring. The owners were very hands on; meeting with us, answering our calls and coming out to the site multiple times a week. They kept us informed of the process every step of the way and the timeline was efficient and much quicker than other pool companies we spoke to. Their entire team is top notch and made us feel like family; they truly have the integrity needed in this industry in Florida! We are so happy with our pool and will only use Collinsbuilt for future outdoor projects that they also handle.

After purchasing a home with a pool, we quickly realized how much there was to learn about proper pool maintenance and equipment. We reached out to Hayward for guidance, and they highly recommended CollinsBuilt Pools. From the very beginning, SJ has been exceptional. He came out promptly, took the time to educate us on every aspect of our pool system, and patiently answered all of our questions. As first-time pool owners, his knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to help made a tremendous difference. SJ has gone above and beyond to ensure we feel confident managing our pool and has always been available to provide guidance when needed. His patience, expertise, and outstanding customer service are truly unmatched. I cannot recommend CollinsBuilt Pools highly enough. If you're looking for a company that genuinely cares about its customers and provides exceptional support, look no further. Thank you, SJ, for making this experience so easy and stress-free!

When considering who will build your pool, the list contains only one name: CollinsBuilt! Once our initial design was fine-tuned, we met at the showroom for final tile and Wet Edge color selection. The showroom was set up with our design, and we were given undivided attention. CollinsBuilt had a level of excitement regarding our project that was unsurpassed. Buddy’s dad Bud excavated the pool, and Scotty and Chris installed the plumbing and set the tile. All the electronics were installed by their (high!) tech guy SJ. It’s a tight family business. Once the pool was finished, CollinsBuilt maintained the pool for us until we were ready for their pool school. On school day, Micheal taught us how to use the Hayward app to operate the pool features, the automation, their requirement for high quality materials, and the background of the Hayward OmniLogic system. Since then, we have contracted CollinsBuilt to maintain our pool weekly. The techs are consistent in keeping our pool well maintained and after they leave, we get a text message informing us that our service has been completed and what was done. Finally, Bob Collins is the king of customer service. He is responsive and on top of everything we need. All requests funneled through him are promptly responded to in a polite and courteous manner. In the day of “no customer service,” the CollinsBuilt team hits a home run!

About CollinsBuilt Pools

CollinsBuilt Pools of Lake Helen: Florida licensed since 2018, 4.9 on Google from 71 reviews, praised for professionalism and communication.

Who they are

CollinsBuilt Pools works out of 170 N Summit Ave in Lake Helen, and has held Florida contractor license CPC1459157 since August 2018. The license shows current. Their own headline calls them a Central Florida custom pool and spa builder, which is a wider claim than the single address, and the honest reading is a Lake Helen firm working out across the middle of the state rather than a documented multi-county operation.

What they build

New pool construction, renovation of existing pools, and spas. None of the three has a page of its own on their site, so the depth behind each is not something the site settles either way — worth asking which of the three they do most of. They describe themselves as family-owned and say the owners are present through the build. Ownership structure is not something the public record settles, so that stands as their word; the reviews do independently describe owners turning up on site, which is the part that matters to a homeowner.

Where they work

Lake Helen is where the license and the Google listing both sit. They publish no separate pages for surrounding towns, so there is no documented service area to quote — read the reach as Central Florida on their own say-so, and ask directly if you are further out. Their site was updated in May 2026 and the most recent review landed in July 2026, so this is a business currently tending both.

What the record shows

Google has them at 4.9 from 71 reviews. That sits well above the 4.52 average across Florida's builders, and 71 reviews is a large enough base that the number means something rather than resting on a handful of happy neighbours. The praise is concentrated where pool builds usually fail: eight separate customers name their professionalism, three the communication, and three the quality of the build itself. Nothing on the complaint side reached the point where two or more customers raised the same issue — on a business this size that is a genuinely clean record, not an absence of evidence. One thing to discount: they advertise themselves as a Best Pool Builder, and that is a marketing line rather than a ranking anyone audited. The license and the reviews stand up. The superlative is just a superlative.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Is CollinsBuilt Pools licensed?

Yes. Florida license CPC1459157 has been held since August 2018 and shows current.

What do the reviews actually say?

Google sits at 4.9 across 71 reviews, above the 4.52 Florida average on a base big enough to trust. Eight customers single out professionalism, three the communication, and three the build quality. No complaint was raised by two or more separate customers, which on 71 reviews is worth noting in itself.

Which areas do they cover?

Lake Helen is where they are licensed and listed. They call themselves a Central Florida builder but publish no pages for individual towns, so there is no documented service area — if you are any distance out, ask before assuming.

What do they build besides new pools?

Renovation of existing pools and spas, alongside new construction. None of the three has its own page on the site, so it is worth asking which they take on most often.

Are they family-owned?

That is their own description, and ownership structure is not something Florida's public record settles either way. What can be said is that several reviewers describe the owners being present on site during the build rather than only at the sale.

When can you reach them?

Their Google listing shows office hours of 8am to 4pm Monday through Thursday. That is a shorter week than most, so allow for it when you are chasing a quote.
