AllStar Pools of Sarasota: only three reviews at 2.3, too few for a verdict — but both written accounts allege unfinished work and unreturned calls.
AllStar Pools of Sarasota is registered to a post box in Sarasota, Sarasota County, though their own website addresses Bradenton — so establish which side of the county line you are dealing with. Their Florida contractor license, CPC1459666, was issued in August 2021 and is current — five years — while their domain dates only from 2023. They describe themselves as family-owned and as number one; the first is their own account and the second is contradicted by their customer rating. One thing on the record needs stating before anything else, because a customer raised it rather than us: they describe the company changing hands partway through their installation. We cannot confirm a change of ownership from the public record. If you are considering them, ask who owns the business today and how long the present crews have been with it.
New pool construction, renovation, ongoing pool service, spas and hot tubs, water features, outdoor living work, and commercial pools alongside residential. Seven lines. They publish a full set of twenty-four project photographs, which is the most substantial thing on this profile and worth looking at — they updated their custom-pools page at the end of July, so the site is being tended. They publish no opening hours, two phone numbers and a general email address.
Sarasota on the license and Bradenton on their own site, so the Sarasota and Manatee County coast is the working assumption. They publish no separate pages for individual towns, so there is no documented service area, and anything beyond those two counties is worth confirming by phone. There was activity on the site at the end of July.
Google has them at 2.3 from three reviews, and both halves of that sentence need weighing carefully because they pull in opposite directions. Three reviews is the smallest sample on this list. A sample that small cannot establish a pattern, no theme reaches our reporting floor, and it would be unfair to treat three people as a verdict on five years of licensed trading. But we are not going to hide what those three say either, because two of them are written, detailed and serious, and both describe the same things. One reports the company changing hands during their installation, phone calls not being returned, and workers not turning up. The other says the company does not stand behind its construction, that the owner did not finish the pool to the contract, and that their lanai tiles are now sinking. Sinking tiles is a substrate problem, which is the expensive kind. So: two written accounts, both alleging work left incomplete against contract and both alleging the company became unreachable — and no positive written account at all to set against them. That is not a statistical case, it is a warning, and it is the honest way to describe what is here. If you are considering them, do not take this page as the assessment. Read all three reviews yourself. Ask for the addresses of three pools finished since the ownership question arose, and go and look at them. And structure any contract so that no payment runs ahead of work completed and inspected, because that is precisely what the two accounts on record describe going wrong.
Where the work actually is, not just the office.

The best and the worst from each platform. Both, always.
TERRIBLE COMPANY from the owner and wife and the whole crew. Reg Brevard supposedly sold to the new owner(Jarrett) & wife during our installation. They would not return phone calls, workers were no shows at least 5 times. Kevin, their tech, was suppose to do pool school for us. NO SHOW. They didn't give us the router at first, which we paid for in the contract. After it was installed we called Pentair, they went through everything with us and even set up my phone app which we were told there wasn't one for an Android. Ricky, the pool guy that brushed & added the chemicals to the pool thought the overflow pipe was for the vacuum so he put a vacuum cap on the overflow. The water went out through the skimmer that was NOT installed correctly, along with sand so the pavers fell in. From this the owner did not know we had paid in full 2 weeks before so he asked us for the final payment. My husband replied, " I'm glad you did not know we paid or we probably would never have seen you again. The owner, Jarrett, just laughed. I hope this review will prevent some one else having to deal with this inferior company.
Do not hire this company to build your pool, they do not stand by their construction of the pools. We have had problems with owner not finishing the pool per the contract. Now our lanai tiles are sinking. See all the photos Not only that, we have a ring stain at the bottom of the pool which they never fixed along with that the owner Reg Bedard never finished our fire feature which we paid for in the contract. He does return calls, he used all different sub contractors to build the pool and good luck trying to find his subs. What a mess, stay as far away from All Star Pools as you can.

Google has them at 2.3 from three reviews — the smallest sample on this list, too small to establish any pattern. But two of the three are written and serious. One describes the company changing hands mid-installation, unreturned calls and workers not turning up. The other says the pool was not finished to contract and the lanai tiles are now sinking.
No — and we will not pretend it is. Three people cannot be a verdict on five years of licensed trading, and no theme reaches our reporting floor. But there is also no positive written account to set against the two negative ones, so this is best read as a warning to investigate rather than either a condemnation or a clean bill.
A customer says so, describing it happening during their installation. We cannot confirm any change of ownership from the public record. If it did, the crews and the office you deal with may not be the ones behind the earlier trading history — so ask who owns the business today and how long the present team has been there.
Read all three reviews yourself rather than relying on this page. Ask for the addresses of three pools completed recently and go and look at them. And ensure no payment runs ahead of work that is finished and inspected — that is exactly what both written accounts describe going wrong.
The license is registered to a Sarasota post box, but their own website addresses Bradenton, so the Sarasota and Manatee coast is the working assumption. They publish no town-by-town pages and no opening hours, so confirm both your address and their availability by phone.
