The best and the worst from each platform. Both, always.
Jacob came and replaced the motor on the pool pump. He was quick and very professional. I would highly recommend Jacob/ Bill Coody pools if you need pool service
I have not personally used this service, but my neighbor has. Water has been draining from their yard for over a year. In addition to the danger of pumping ground water in sinkhole infected central Florida, there is disgusting standing water all the way to the entrance. Many neighbors are upset about this, but the owners and the pool contractor are oblivious.
Mr. Coody is an awesome person...we just bought a house and new to the type of pool system that we have ...everyone else wanted to charge out the A** just to educate us... NOT Mr.Coody, he was kind enough to come out and talk to us!! Thank you Bill :)
contacted with Mr Coody on November 2020. He gave us a quote agreed on everything and were waiting on permit unfortunately We haven't heard anything back from him for 1 month. texting back and forth no progress. He ended up coming to my property to requote a week ago still no answer from him. Very UNPROFESSIONAL way to run business like this. I would never recommend him to anyone. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!
Bill Coody Custom Pools created our custom, one-of-a-kind back yard paradise with all the latest technology and features. He spent several days designing and re-designing our pool until we found the perfect layout and features to match our budget.
This guy, Bill Cody, is the worst contractor you'll ever do business with ...He built my swimming pool and caused me tons of aggravation, 2 years later it's still not working properly. Tomorrow I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and his contractor's license .I spoke to the manager of the Better Business Bureau in Longwood in order to properly file a complaint against him ..I also contacted department of business and professional regulation in order to get a complaint form against his license
We checked Bill Coody Custom Pools of Orange City against every pool builder in Florida — license CPC1457605, what they build, and where they stand.
Bill Coody Custom Pools works from East New York Avenue in Orange City, Volusia County. Their Florida certified pool contractor license, CPC1457605, has been current since 2008, and the company's domain has been registered since 2000. They describe themselves as family owned, which is their own account of it, and the license is qualified in the family name the company trades under.
Google shows 3.0 from 8 reviews. A separate Yelp listing shows 1.0 from 3. Both are small samples, and neither is good. Eleven customers between two platforms is not enough to call a verdict on a company that has held a license since 2008 and will have built many more pools than that — but it is also eleven people, none of whom rated them well, and that consistency across two separate platforms is the part worth taking seriously. The Florida average here is 4.52.
Read all eleven. It takes five minutes and it is the only way to find out whether they describe one bad period, one bad job, or something ongoing — a distinction the numbers cannot make for you. Then ask for two addresses of pools finished in the last year and go and look at them. If the reviews turn out to be old, the recent work is what should decide it.
New pool construction, renovation and screen enclosures. Almost no project photographs are published, and the website has shown no activity since spring 2024, so treat the site as a brochure rather than a record of current work and call (386) 774-9191 to ask what they are building now.

Yes. Florida certified pool contractor license CPC1457605 is on record in the company's name and has been current since 2008.
Google shows 3.0 from 8 reviews and Yelp 1.0 from 3, against a Florida average of 4.52. Eleven reviews is a small body of evidence, so it is not a settled verdict — but both platforms point the same way, which is worth noticing. Read them in full before deciding.
No. It has shown no activity since spring 2024 and carries almost no project photographs. Call (386) 774-9191 and ask what they have finished recently rather than judging by the site.
