Both Andrew and Kari along with their outstanding team Were an absolute pleasure to work with. From day one getting quotes, Andrew was the first one to call me back and the first one to meet For consultation. He and Kari took the time to answer every single one of our questions as well as made thoughtful suggestions on the design, materials and equipment. From concept through completion, everything was thoroughly communicated and expectations were managed and often exceeded. I recommend them to anyone who will listen, especially those who want a straightforward honest, no-nonsense approach. Do yourself a favor and please call them if you are thinking about putting in a pool.

Terrible customer service from the owner Andrew. We purchased a home with 1 yr old pool built by Castle. Around 6 months after (pool 1 1/2 yrs old) started having problems. Tiles coming off. Heater not functioning, valves and jets not working. Called Andrew and he didn't return messages. We had pentair come repair items. now another 6 months and more issues. All we needed from Andrew was the original bill of sale and Pentair would warranty the issue. Again no return of messages or emails, texts stating he was out of town and a total lack of care. I chased him for 3 weeks without any resolution.

Highly Recommend: After speaking with several pool companies in St. Johns County, I chose Castle Pools LLC, owned by Andrew and Kari Castle, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Many of the other companies I contacted were either overpriced or unresponsive, but Andrew stood out right away — he was responsive, professional, and full of creative, cost-effective ideas to help me design the pool and amenities I wanted while staying within budget. Throughout the planning and design process, both Andrew and Kari were supportive, transparent, and easy to work with. Even better, they started on time, finished in less than six weeks, and stayed on budget — no delays, no excuses, no hidden costs. Every member of their team and all of their subcontractors were courteous, honest, and trustworthy. If you’re in Northeast Florida and want a first-class pool design and installation experience, I highly recommend Castle Pools LLC. They truly deliver on their promises!

Castle Pools did an incredible job installing our pool, hot tub, screen enclosure, and travertine pool deck… all for a great price, far better than several competitors we compared them with. The Castlemans (owners of the pool company) communicated with us during every step of construction. They were always available for any questions and concerns we had, returning calls and messages in a timely manner. I expected this project to be stressful. The company surprised me by fulfilling every single promise they made. I cannot say enough about the great people at this business. They are honest, fair, and exceeded all expectations I had. I have had to hire several contractors for different repairs and construction projects over the years, and I thought stresses and hassles came with the territory. This, however, is how a pool company should be run. As stated earlier, I am not aware of another pool company in the area that can compete in either craftsmanship, style, or value. If you are looking for a pool installation company, I think it’s not possible to do better.

About Castle Pools, LLC

Castle Pools of Jacksonville: Florida licensed since 2017, gunite pools and screen enclosures, 4.4 on Google from 28 reviews praising communication.

Who they are

Castle Pools works out of Mandarin Forest Drive in Jacksonville and holds Florida contractor license CPC1458960, current since February 2017. Their website is much newer than the license — the domain dates from 2024 — so the online record understates how long they have been building. The site is currently looked after: pages were updated in July 2026.

What they build

Gunite pools and spas, renovation of existing pools, repairs, servicing, screen enclosures, water features and outdoor living space. That is one of the fuller service lists here, and the screen enclosure work matters because it is a separate trade from the pool shell — one customer describes having pool, hot tub, screen enclosure and a travertine deck done as a single job, which is the argument for using a company that carries all of it.

Where they work

Jacksonville, and unusually for this list they show their working rather than leaving it implied: they publish pages for Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra and St. Johns County, and each one is written for its own area rather than a template with the town name swapped. That is a documented service area, which most builders here do not provide — take the three at face value and ask about anywhere else.

What the record shows

Google has them at 4.4 from 28 reviews, which sits just below the 4.52 average across Florida's builders — close enough that on 28 reviews the difference means very little either way. What is more informative is how consistent the praise is: nine separate customers name their professionalism, seven the communication through the job and seven the quality of the build. Communication scoring almost as high as professionalism is unusual, and one reviewer explains why it stands out — they started with a different pool company, could not get answers or communication, and moved. Nothing on the complaint side was raised by two or more customers, so there is no recurring problem on record. Two claims to weigh properly. They describe themselves as the number one builder, and 4.4 from 28 reviews does not establish a ranking — nobody publishes one. And 'licensed and insured' is only half-checkable: the license is real and current, while insurance is not something any public record will confirm, so ask to see the certificate before work starts.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Is Castle Pools licensed?

Yes. Florida contractor license CPC1458960 has been current since February 2017. They also advertise being insured, which no public record confirms — ask for the certificate.

What do the reviews actually say?

Google sits at 4.4 across 28 reviews, marginally below the 4.52 Florida average — a difference that means little on a base that size. Nine customers name their professionalism, seven the communication and seven the build quality. No complaint was raised by two or more separate customers.

Which areas do they cover?

Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra and St. Johns County. They publish a separate page for each, and each is genuinely written for that area rather than a duplicated template, so this is one of the better-evidenced service areas on the list. Anywhere further out is worth a phone call.

Do they do screen enclosures and decking too?

Yes — screen enclosures, water features, outdoor living space, renovation, repairs and servicing all sit alongside new gunite construction. One customer had the pool, hot tub, enclosure and travertine deck done as one job.

Are they the number one pool builder in Jacksonville?

That is their own line, and nobody ranks Florida pool builders. Their review record is solid and consistent; the claim adds nothing to it.

Why does a company licensed since 2017 have a website from 2024?

The two dates measure different things. The license has been held since February 2017, while the current domain only dates from 2024, so the online footprint is younger than the business.
