Working with Freedom Pools was an incredible experience from start to finish. Building a pool is a major investment, and they made the entire process feel organized, transparent, and stress-free. Communication was excellent throughout construction. Every question we had was answered, and the team kept us informed at each phase of the project. The workmanship really speaks for itself—the plaster finish, tile work, coping, pavers, and screen enclosure all came together beautifully. What impressed us most was the attention to detail. They didn’t just build a pool—they created an outdoor living space that completely transformed our backyard. The final product exceeded our expectations, and the quality is evident every time we step outside. Our family will make countless memories here, and we couldn’t be happier with the investment. If you’re considering building a pool, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Freedom Pools & Spas. They delivered exactly what they promised, and the finished product is absolutely stunning. Thank you to Brad and the entire Freedom Pools team for bringing our vision to life. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
BIG shout out to Brad Ward of Freedom Pools and Spas. I’m a first-time pool owner. When I started the process, I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into after hearing a lot of horror stories. I spoke with several pool companies and educated myself each conversation. It’s a lot of money. I really wanted to feel comfortable with the person I would be in contact with the most throughout the process. I found a lot of companies had several layers, which is fine, but I wanted one point of contact and that wasn’t always the case. Freedom Pools and Spas was the last company I contacted. By this time, I pretty much knew what I wanted, but not necessarily where to put the sun shelf. When Brad said he was the owner, I was thrilled! He’s a smaller company, so he is very involved in all of his projects. He had a different design compared to what I received from others, and it is what I went with. It’s perfect! This was the best experience I could have ever asked for. Other than Sarasota taking 2+ months for permits, which is the norm from my understanding, everything went smoothly! I did not have one issue! Brad was at the house every time a new process started to check in with his guys. Brad’s communication throughout the process was exemplary! He was very easy to work with. A genuine guy who takes pride in his work. Hole was dug January 20th and the pool filled on March 8th. If you are looking for a quality pool builder with no BS, Brad Ward at Freedom Pools and Spas is your guy. I love my pool so much!
Having my pool installed by Freedom was by far the best experience I’ve ever had with any contractor. I’m a real estate investor and do a lot of construction work. When every company I talked to said 6-12 months to get my pool installed, I was debating on wether or not I would even make the investment. When I talked to Brad not only did he tell me 4 months but he got it done in 3. Communication was excellent throughout the entire project and there were no surprises, except that he actually completed the project on time. Brad is just an all round great person. Very trustworthy, and does what he says he’s going to do. Something that I have yet to find in the construction business, until I worked with Freedom. After I talked to Brad I never even got a quote from another contractor. Even if he is more expensive, and I don’t know that he is, he’s worth every penny!

Freedom Pools and Spas of Sarasota: Florida licensed since 2022, a flat 5.0 on both Google and Yelp, no complaints on record and reports of early completion.
Freedom Pools and Spas holds Florida contractor license CPC1460010, current since September 2022 and running to 2028, and works out of Bayonne Street in Sarasota. Their own headline claims Sarasota, Bradenton and Venice. Four years licensed puts them among the newer companies here, but the review record is more consistent than that would suggest.
New pool construction, renovation and remodelling, repairs, servicing, spas and screen enclosures. Two things stand out from the reviews. They take on equipment work as well as builds — one customer describes a heater and chiller installation rather than a whole pool, which is a smaller job many builders will not touch. And more than one reviewer reports the project finishing earlier than they expected, which is rare enough on this list to be worth naming.
Sarasota is the licensed base, and their headline extends the claim to Bradenton and Venice — plausible for a Sarasota company and a coherent stretch of coast rather than a statewide claim. They publish no separate pages for those towns, though, so it is intent rather than documented reach. Their site was updated in spring 2026 and reviews continue to arrive.
Google has them at a flat 5.0 from 20 reviews, and Yelp agrees at 5.0 from two — well above the 4.52 average across Florida's builders. Twenty reviews is a modest base but not a token one, and what makes it useful is the agreement inside it: nine separate customers name their professionalism, four the quality of the work and four the communication through the job. No complaint was raised by two or more customers, and in fact none appears at all. The praise is also specific about the things that go wrong elsewhere — courteous staff, questions answered, and work finished ahead of schedule rather than behind. They make no awards claims and no superlative claims, which is unusual and quietly to their credit: there is nothing here that needs discounting. The honest limitation is time rather than evidence. Four years licensed and twenty reviews means nobody on record has a pool from them that is a decade old, so there is nothing yet about how the work ages or how they behave when something needs putting right years later. Ask what the warranty covers, keep payments behind completed stages, and ask to see a pool they finished two or three years ago rather than last month.

Yes. Florida contractor license CPC1460010 has been current since September 2022 and runs to August 2028.
A flat 5.0 from 20 reviews on Google, and 5.0 from two on Yelp, against a 4.52 Florida average. Nine customers name their professionalism, four the build quality and four the communication. No complaint appears from anyone. Several describe the project finishing earlier than expected.
Yes. Repairs, servicing, renovation, screen enclosures and equipment work all appear — one customer describes a heater and chiller installation, which is a job many pool builders will not take on.
Sarasota is the licensed base and their headline adds Bradenton and Venice. They publish no pages for individual towns, so treat the wider claim as intent and confirm your own address by phone.
Licensed since September 2022, so about four years, with twenty reviews. A good and consistent start rather than a long track record — nobody on record has a pool from them that is a decade old.
What the warranty covers and for how long, and to see a pool they finished two or three years ago rather than a recent one. Keep payments behind completed stages. That is standard practice with a shorter record and not a reflection on them.
