The best and the worst from each platform. Both, always.
In November 2023, our 65 year old pool lost 14 inches of water in 3 days. After years of applying bandaids, its time for replacement had come. We interviewed 6 pool installation companies, and the one that heard, listened, and created the most appropriate solution for us was Hollywood Pools and Spas. They built a pool and patio that have met our needs perfectly. We have a new pool within the shell of the old (35x15) pool, deep enough for vertical water aerobics (6’3” instead of 8’) and an adequate size to accommodate whatever and whoever!! The Hydrazzo finish is beautifully smooth, and the Shellock pavers promise us many years of worry-free living. They need no sealing and complement the bronzy tones of the back of our house. A major concern for us was storm generated water coming in the back of our house and screened porch (slightly downhill from the pool). 4” drains liberally installed were the perfect solution to sending water to the side yards. We experienced no serious water-related problems from Hurricanes Debby, Helene or Milton. Yes, there were some hiccups, but all concerns were suitably resolved. Thank you Ron, Joe, Jessica, Chad, Tanner and all the related subcontractors. That was the year that was!! One of the most valuable aspects of the Hollywood process is that the "salesman" does not disappear. He is with you to the end and beyond!!
Hollywood Pools knocked our pool project out of the park. The pool was completed in April 2023 and my review is long overdue (now Oct). The design for our yard was spectacular. They and their sub contractors provide a very high end product. On top of that there customer service is exceptional. I had a small issue just recently with a piece of equipment and Jessica got it resolved in 1 day. Highly recommend using this company!
Ron & I first met Jessica when we went to the Hollywood office in Largo to sign our contract and pick out the materials for our pool. During our introductions, I told Jessica that it was her job to build us a beautiful pool so that we could write Hollywood Pools a 5-star Google review. She delivered-- and then some. It was many weeks before we received our pool permit from the county due to issues with our property. The day the permit was released, Jessica had her guy at our house removing sod and kept the process running smoothly 'til the project was completed. The crews toiled through the worst of the FL summer to construct our pool. Thank you to each & every one! The result is even more gorgeous that I could have imagined! Any question or issue we had was immediately addressed. During the process, Jessica would joke that she was trying for a 6-star review--but, in my opinion, she came in at 7 stars when, at the last minute, she showed us a beautiful plaster upgrade containing tiny pieces of polished glass to match our pool tile. And, at no additional cost to us. The result is stunning. If you are thinking of having a pool installed, call these folks -- you won't regret it!

Hollywood Pools & Spas of Florida works from 67th Street in Pinellas Park, Pinellas County, on Florida pool contractor license CPC1458531 — current since May 2014. Their site has been archived since 2005 and the domain registered since 2008, so the name has been trading considerably longer than the current license. They build new residential and commercial pools and handle renovation, servicing, screen enclosures, spas, water features and outdoor living. 24 project photographs are published.
Google has them at 4.6 from 52 reviews — a little above the Florida average of 4.52 across the 346 builders on this directory. Nothing on the record reads as a complaint, and no subject was raised twice by different customers.
Six reviewers name the quality of the build and four their professionalism. The most useful account is a renovation of the hardest kind: a sixty-five-year-old pool losing fourteen inches of water in three days, after years of patching. A customer who brings a problem like that and comes back to write about it is describing something more demanding than a fresh build on clear ground.
New residential and commercial pools, renovation, routine servicing, screen enclosures, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living, from Pinellas Park. They keep no separate town pages, so Pinellas and the surrounding counties is what their own record supports.
If yours is an older pool with a leak, ask how they locate it and what happens if the cause turns out to be worse than the survey suggested — that is where a renovation price moves, and their best-documented job is exactly that scenario. Get the scope and exclusions in writing with a named allowance for what is found once the surface is opened. Payments tied to inspected stages. The license has run since 2014; ask separately for the insurance certificate, which Florida does not publish.

Yes. Florida pool contractor license CPC1458531 has been current since May 2014. Their website has been archived since 2005, so the name predates the license. Ask for the insurance certificate separately.
4.6 from 52 Google reviews, against a Florida average of 4.52 across the 346 builders on this directory — a little above the middle, with nothing on the record reading as a complaint.
The most detailed account on their record is a sixty-five-year-old pool losing fourteen inches of water in three days after years of patching. Taking on a leak of that age and scale is harder than building new, and that customer came back to write about it.
