We are beyond grateful to Waterscapes and H20 Doctors for their recent help with our pool. Both companies worked together to help us with an environmental issue we were having with our pool. Gene, our project manager and Jake, one of the owners of H20, did not give up and were persistent with several treatments to totally resolve our issue. Harlee our pool cleaner always had our levels at the perfect balance, which we did check with Pinch a Penny, as well. Gene and Jake were a great team and so dedicated and professional. Both gentlemen have terrific communication skills. And, we appreciate all they did to get our pool in great shape! We would highly recommend Waterscapes and H20 Doctors if you have any pool needs!

I spent $90,000 on my pool, since day one I have had nothing but problems problems Hot tub takes 4 hrs to reach temp .Thier response ,Sorry thers nothing wrong.Constant water loss, leaves in pool. Had as many as six technicians sent ,found leaks, patche and we continued to loose water, not from evaporation evaporation.waterfall leaks in piping.,tiles colapsing, railings loose.after many times in excess of 7,I was told by Anthony that if the plumbers come and don't find the leakI would have to pay.I am certain there's a leak but they wouldn't say what what the cost would be $1000 3000 no clue ,I'd simply be at thier mercy. I'm at my wits end. The spa never worked properly. DO YOUR REASEARCH Ihad ni choice since the builder owns the pool company and when I purchased my home was told .YOU'LL NEVER GET ANYONE ELSE IN HERE IT COULD TAKE YOU SIX MONTHS.Neal Communities

We chose Waterscapes because in our consultation with Rob, he was professional, responsive, and put a proposed design together that was creative and ideal for our space. He met with us onsite and reviewed every detail of the proposal and made good suggestions about things we hadn't considered, to ensure we had a pool that we'd love. When it came time to build the pool, the experience with our Construction Manager, Anthony, exceeded our expectations. He was friendly, helpful and always responsive, even after hours. He was very knowledgeable and set clear expectations for how long the build process would take, and kept us updated every step of the way. He even completed the job early, which was amazing. The quality of his team's work was excellent. It is obvious he genuinely cares about his customers and ensuring they have a good experience with Waterscapes.

I met with Jordan Trent, the designer for my pool. Although I had limited pool design knowledge, I had a general idea of what I wanted. Jordan did his best to meet my expectations. However, before the pool was completed, I learned that he had been let go from the company for unknown reasons, which raised a red flag for me. Despite this, I continued with Waterscapes and was assigned a project manager named Grayson Whitman. Grayson communicated smoothly and effectively, and I ignored several red flags, convinced that the final result would turn out well. In hindsight, I deeply regret not overseeing the project more closely and not expressing my concerns more assertively when something didn't look right. This experience has taught me the importance of vigilance and assertiveness in such projects. My disappointment with the craftsmanship of the pool and spa is profound. Waterscapes hired some of the lowest-quality contractors I have ever encountered. Within just over a year, my pool has faced several issues. For instance, the pavers were installed unevenly and are on a slope that seems too steep. Also, mold has started growing between the pavers, a clear sign of poor workmanship. Moreover, the cage has begun to rust, and the screening is breaking due to being stretched too tightly. Given my price for the pool and spa, I expected them to last longer before showing signs of wear. The fact that these defects appeared within the first year after completion was unexpected and disappointing. You may wonder if I reported these issues, and the answer is yes. However, most of my complaints were dismissed despite believing they were justified. I encourage potential buyers to be cautious when dealing with this company. All the problems I mentioned arose just over a year after I had the pool installed. As you might expect, they offer only a one-year warranty, and once that period is up, they will not even take your call. I could share much more, but this platform only allows limited information. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out. I will respond openly and honestly and can provide pictures if you'd like. I have documented the issues I faced with Waterscapes extensively and am more than willing to share them to help you make an informed decision. Considering the cost, craftsmanship, time, and patience required to complete this project, I would give Waterscapes Pools & Spas an overall grade of D- for this project. Thank you.

Great Job designing and building our pool , on time with no issues Both Rob our designer and Anthony our construction manager were fabulous to work with ! we are swimming while several of our neighbors are being told stories on they their project is not completed.

We had our Pool installed and finished Oct 15, 2019 and had Problems from the get go. The overflow was installed way to high so when it rained the Water did not drain out. We called Gene Darley, Project Manager and he accused us of adding a Pipe to the overflow. He had it fixed, but it still was too high so we fixed it our self. When they installed the Tiles around the inside of the Pool they used the correct concrete sealer except one side they used Grout. It started coming out within 6 months and Gene told us he will do us a favor and get it redone 1 time curtesy. 6 months later the grout came out again and we were told that they should have used cement to seal it permanently. I contacted Gene again and was told he was not doing anything and it is what it is!!! Check your Pool company out, do not use them. They are not BBB accredited and have complaints against them!!

About Waterscapes Pools & Spas LLC

Waterscapes Pools & Spas of Sarasota: what they build along the Gulf coast, their record, and what their license covers. Only at FloridaPoolz.

Who they are

Waterscapes Pools & Spas builds across the southwest Florida coast from Lakewood Ranch in Sarasota. Florida pool contractor license CPC1457280 has been current since August 2006 — twenty years, one of the longer unbroken records on this directory. They also hold published awards, which is one of the few marketing claims that can be checked and does check out. The rest of their copy reaches for "premier" and "number one", which nobody can verify.

What they build

New pool construction, spas, water features, pool servicing and outdoor living work. They publish pages written for Bradenton, Fort Myers, Naples, Port Charlotte, Sanibel, Sarasota and Tampa — a long stretch of the Gulf coast, and the range is worth confirming for your own town rather than assuming a crew travels the whole of it.

What their reviews say

4.5 from 211 Google reviews, against a Florida pool builder average of 4.52 — level with the field, on a review count large enough that the figure is dependable. A separate Yelp listing sits at 3.0 from eight reviews; eight is too few to weigh against 211, and the Google record is the one to read. Twenty years of licensed trading and 211 reviews together make this one of the better-documented builders here.

Worth asking about

Three separate customers raised build quality as a problem. Three out of 211 is a small minority and not a verdict on the company, and it is still the one theme that recurred, so it is the thing to press on. Ask who supervises the build day to day, what the warranty covers on the shell and the finish, and to see two or three pools they finished in your town within the last year. Their published awards are worth asking about too, since those are dated and specific.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Is Waterscapes Pools & Spas licensed?

Yes. Florida pool contractor license CPC1457280 has been current since August 2006 — twenty years unbroken, and current on the state register today.

How do their reviews compare with other Florida pool builders?

4.5 on Google against a state average of 4.52, so level with the field, on 211 reviews. Their Yelp listing is lower at 3.0, though from only eight reviews, which is too few to carry against the larger record.

What do customers complain about?

Build quality, raised by three separate customers. Three out of 211 is a minority rather than a pattern, though it is the one theme that recurred. Ask about day-to-day supervision and what the warranty covers.

Which areas do they cover?

They publish pages for Bradenton, Fort Myers, Naples, Port Charlotte, Sanibel, Sarasota and Tampa. That is a long stretch of coast, so confirm they work in your town.

Have they won awards?

They publish awards on their own site, and unlike most marketing claims these are dated and specific enough to check. Ask which ones are recent.
