From start to finish, we are more than impressed by the outstanding professionalism and quality of work by the team and crew associated with Larsen's Pool & Spa. Special thanks to the owner (Eric), designer (Adam), project manager (Reid), general manager (John), videographer (Dawn), equipment setup (Mike), pool setup and trainer (Justin), tile coping installer (Washington), permitting & inspections coordinator (Molly), along with the entire crew (too many to name unfortunately) on the new build of our saltwater pool and spa. Adam worked with us to come up with a design and layout, and provided 3D drawings along with a presentation, to help us visualize our new outdoor space. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We then met both Eric and John at the office when we were looking at the various design selections available. Each offering assistance in directing us to make informed decisions on the color and type of tile, pavers, grout, etc. Everyone made you feel like family and were very helpful. Eric personally followed up with several calls to make sure we had the answers we needed to make an informed decision. I can't say enough good things about Reid and how exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, respectful, efficient, helpful and friendly he has been for each phase of this entire project. He kept the whole process going smoothly with his attention to detail and knowledge. He is definitely not afraid to get his hands dirty during this process. He would triple check things during each phase to make sure things were going according to plan. This build was a little trickier than some because it was being built in front of a raised 100+ year old log cabin and coordination of a composite deck was being constructed to work along side. This was a great and seamless joint effort of planning and coordination between us (the owners), team at Larsen's Pool & Spa, and team at T&A Custom Decks and Docks. Together, we created a vision and made it come to life, and even exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and are looking forward to many years of making memories. Thank you all for this beautiful addition which mixed old house with new deck, pool and spa! Odessa, Florida

Larsen’s Pool and Spa did an absolutely outstanding job on our recent pool renovation. This was actually our second major project with them — the first was 13 years ago, when they completed a major pool renovation along with a patio and screened porch extension. We loved what they did for us then, and we didn’t hesitate to call them again — and they absolutely delivered. From start to finish, the level of personal attention was exceptional. Communication was clear, the team was professional, and they truly worked with us to get everything just right. What really stood out was their attention to the small details — the things I wouldn’t have even thought to ask about. They caught issues early, made smart suggestions, and handled the job with pride and care. Here’s what they accomplished for us: •   Completed a major pool renovation with a full interior finish upgrade •   Built and reinforced a custom sunshelf (proper steel work), plus integrated steps •   Installed a swim-out that fits the pool perfectly •   Replaced and properly raised the skimmer to match the new finish level •   Replaced the waterline/feature tile with great prep and clean alignment •   Addressed plumbing details and repairs we wouldn’t have even noticed •   Relocated pool equipment, including the electrical and plumbing, with a clean final layout •   Upgraded the system to modern automation and converted the pool to salt for easier operation and maintenance •   Installed updated LED pool lighting •   Managed the project professionally from start to finish and treated our home with respect It’s rare to find a company you can trust once, let alone come back to more than a decade later with complete confidence. Larsen’s clearly takes pride in their work and stands behind it. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship, thoughtful service, and a team that genuinely cares about doing things right.

We had an excellent experience working with Larsen’s Pool & Spa from start to finish. From the very beginning, the company owner (Eric Larsen) personally reached out to us to introduce himself, provide his contact information, and let us know that we could contact him directly with any questions or concerns at any time. That level of accessibility and care immediately gave us confidence in our decision. The designer (Adam Washburn) did an outstanding job bringing our vision to life. He created three different pool designs for us, complete with detailed 3D sketches and a video walk through, which made it easy to visualize the final result. He was extremely constructive throughout the process, offering thoughtful suggestions and recommendations that ultimately made the design even better. During construction, the project manager (Reid Meyer) was exceptional at ensuring every phase of the project was completed properly and fully up to code. It was clear that quality and compliance were top priorities. All of the subcontractors were very respectful, professional, and efficient. Several of them mentioned how this company holds everyone accountable by double-checking work and making sure everything will pass county inspections, which really showed in the final outcome. After completing the pool construction, they went the extra mile by sending a chemical maintenance team (Mike and Justin) to manage the pool water chemistry for 30 days. This gave us peace of mind knowing the pool was properly balanced and safe while we learned the basics of maintenance ourselves. Their commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and post-construction support really set them apart. While this company was a little more expensive than other options we considered, we chose them because of their strong reputation and experience in the pool construction industry—and it was absolutely worth it. Our pool was completed within 60 days of groundbreaking, and we’ve received countless compliments from neighbors, friends, and even some of the inspectors on how beautiful it turned out. We are extremely satisfied with the service we received and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to build a pool. If you’re looking for professionalism, quality, and peace of mind, they definitely will not disappoint you.

About Larsen’s Pool & Spa, LLC

Larsens Pool & Spa of Tampa: license CPC1457680 since 2008, 4.9 on Google from 205 reviews against a 4.52 state average, and eleven named published awards.

Who they are

Larsens Pool & Spa works out of Tampa, from Racetrack Road in Hillsborough County. Their Florida certified pool contractor license, CPC1457680, has been on record since May 2008 and shows current — eighteen years. The domain dates from February 2008, the same spring as the license, and the site was being archived by that September, so the company and its web presence started together. Their awards are the unusual part: unlike most claims on this list, theirs are named and published — an Angi Super Service Award and a Best of Houzz among eleven in total.

What they build

Seven service lines: new pool construction, renovation, repairs, weekly service, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living — the full range rather than construction with a service desk attached. They also advertise a three-year warranty, which is theirs to define, so get the terms in writing and read what it covers. The gallery is the one glaring gap: a single photograph. For a company with this review record and eleven published awards that is a strange omission, and it means there is effectively nothing on the site to judge the standard of finish by. Ask to see finished pools.

Where they work

Tampa is the base and the licensed address is on Racetrack Road there, in Hillsborough County. They publish a page for Tampa itself and none for the surrounding towns, so anywhere further out is a question to ask — Hillsborough, north into Pasco and west into Pinellas is the reasonable assumption. One number and one email address are published. Their listed hours run right through the day, every day of the week, which for a company this size probably means a phone that gets answered rather than an office that never shuts.

What the record shows

This is the strongest reputation on this list. Two hundred and five people have reviewed them on Google and the average sits at 4.9 — 0.38 above the 4.52 Florida average, on one of the largest counts here. That combination is the one that is genuinely hard: holding a near-perfect score across two hundred customers is a different achievement from holding one across eight, and it is the single most useful fact on this profile. Ten reviewers name the crew's professionalism specifically, seven the workmanship and three the timekeeping. Nothing negative recurred at all — no complaint theme was raised by even two separate customers, which across 205 reviews is rare. Eighteen years licensed, eleven named awards, 4.9 from 205 people, and one photograph on the website: the only thing wrong with this profile is how little of it they have chosen to show.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Is Larsens Pool & Spa licensed?

Yes. Florida certified pool contractor license CPC1457680 is on record in the company's name and shows current, held since May 2008 — eighteen years. The license covers construction; insurance is separate and no public register shows it, so ask for a certificate.

How good are their reviews, really?

As good as this list gets. They sit at 4.9 from 205 Google reviews, 0.38 above the 4.52 Florida average — and the count is what makes it meaningful, because a near-perfect score across two hundred customers is far harder than the same score across a handful. Ten reviewers name the crew's professionalism, seven the workmanship and three the timekeeping, and no complaint theme was raised by even two separate customers.

Have they actually won awards?

Yes, and they name them, which most companies on this list do not: an Angi Super Service Award and a Best of Houzz among eleven published on their site. We have not written to each awarding body to confirm every one, so treat it as their claim with real published evidence behind it — considerably better than an unnamed award-winning badge.

Can I see examples of their work?

Barely — one photograph. That is the clear failing here and it sits oddly against everything else. Given how many customers praise the workmanship, ask to visit a finished pool or for a proper set of pictures before you decide.

What about the three-year warranty, and when can I reach them?

The warranty is theirs to define, so get it in writing and read what it covers — structure, surface, equipment and labour are usually treated very differently. Their listed hours run right through the day, every day, on one published number and one email address.
