Larsen's Pool & Spa completed our pool for us in Sep 2023 and it greatly exceeded our expectations! Since this was our first pool build experience we wanted to wait 6 months after the build to make sure we still have the same enthusiasm that we had when it was completed and they did not disappoint. We started our process by doing a bunch of research and talking to our friends that are pool owners to learn from their experiences. After careful consideration we selected 3 pool builders in the local area with a heavy emphasis on: quality, price, warranty, and good communication throughout the build. We've heard alot of horror stories about pool builders and most of them involved very poor communication, so that was very important to us. Larsen's was the first company we submitted an inquiry with and I was very impressed when the owner, Eric, called us that same evening to learn more about what we wanted, provide an overview of what they offer, and answer any additional questions before handing us off to their designer for our area, Julie. Julie met us at the house a few days later for a site visit and initial consultation and we had a beautiful 3D rendering in hand just a few short days later. Julie really nailed the design and followed up with a quote. Although the price was a little higher than we originally planned for, it was very fair given all of the upgrades and equipment that we opted for. We went on to get a few more quotes and designs from a few more builders, and although both were a bit cheaper, the communication was starkly different and the quality of their product just didn't measure up so we decided to go with Larsen's. We met, Reid, our PM, a few days later. He went over the process with us again, answered some more questions and started the permit process. Within a few weeks we got the word that our permits were cleared and they broke ground on 5 July. For the sake of time, I won't cover all of the details of the entire timeline here, but I can tell you that it took exactly 60 days from the day they broke ground to the day we were filling up the pool and swimming and that was right on par with the estimated timeframe that we were given. Having an ongoing major construction project at your home can be a stressful situation, but Reid and his team did a great job of keeping us informed, moving things along on schedule and resolving any issues that occurred very quickly. Even after the build was completed and we submitted final payment we discovered a leak and notified the team at Larsen's and they sent a team out to resolve the issue the same day! All in all, we couldn't be any happier with the beautiful pool that Larsen's built for us and can honestly say that the final product greatly exceeded our expectations and we've been enjoying it so much since it was completed. Larsen's may not be the cheapest pool builder by comparison, but they build a great pool and provide an elevated experience throughout the build--making every dollar spent well worth it--Thank you to the entire staff at Larsen's that helped turn our vision into a resort-style reality! --Troy Coville Riverview, FL
Deciding on Larsen’s Pool and Spa to build our backyard oasis was the best decision we made! Our designer, Emily, really listened to not only the vision we had for a pool but also for our whole backyard. Her design truly captured our entire vision. Their transparency with their pricing was also impressive. Other pool companies didn’t provide a line-item price of each product used in building the pool. The honest pricing was refreshing to see. It was also amazing to go to the design studio and see all the options that were available within the price quoted. With other companies they would’ve been an upgrade. Reid was our Construction Manager. He was great to work with. Always available for questions, consistent communication, and always on site. The office personnel (Molly, Elicia and Cathy) were always polite, accommodating, upbeat and available for any questions I had. Justin and Mike serviced the pool once it was up and running. Justin was so patient with us. We had so many questions and took so many notes. Justin was available anytime we had a question about taking care of the pool. He was extremely knowledgeable. The owner, Eric, checked in on a regular basis just to see how everything was going and to see if I had any questions, concerns or issues. He’s very personable. Every professional that came out to do their part were excellent and perfectionist. You could tell they took pride in the job they were doing and made sure it was done right the first time. I will be honest; they were not the cheapest, but we felt as though it was money well spent without a doubt! They are the best at what they do, and they built a high-quality product. This includes the experts they hire, their customer service, communication, how they present the project to the customer, their honesty, their knowledge, quality products, their expertise and the overall great disposition of everyone at Larsen’s Pool and Spa. They understood and had a lot patience when I had to work with the builder and the CDD to come up with a “creative plan” to access my backyard. The CM Reid even spoke to them to help me out. I even got to meet Eric’s dad, he’s so funny and nice! This is truly a family operation that takes pride in their craft, and it shows. The building of our pool went very fast. I was so shocked! With all that said we broke ground on May 3, 2025, and they started filling the pool on July 1, 2025! On July 4th we officially broke it in! A pool built with Larsen’s Pool and Spa is money well spent! Thank you! Eric, we appreciate you and your fabulous team so much! Thank you for bringing our backyard oasis to life! Tanisha Dodson
We had a fantastic experience with Larsen’s Pool and Spa! The process began with a welcome call from the owner, Eric Larsen. He listened to our wants and was thoughtful when choosing the designer to assign to the project. The designing phase began with an in-home meeting with Dan who we worked with during the entire pool design phase. He was very detail-oriented, a great listener, and was willing to tweak the design several times to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. We received designs from multiple different companies, and Dan's design was the best. Not only did he integrate our wishes, but also came up with inventive ideas to integrate into our backyard space. After we finalized the big picture design, we met with Dan at the Larsen's Pool and Spa office to pick out the specific travertine, tiles, and other finishing options. Dan and the company were very transperant throughout the entire process. We always knew the price for each design, option, and upgrade with no surprises. This experience was very different than with the other companies we received quotes from. The cliché about getting what you pay for is very true (in a positive matter of speaking) when it comes to Larsen's Pool and Spa. Their price is very fair for the great product and service you receive. Once the project and digging actually began, Dan handed us over to Reid, who managed the construction phase. Like Eric and Dan, Reid was also outstanding! He did a great job keeping things on schedule and talking us through what to expect. He was there to handle any small changes or fixes that became necessary throughout the construction. Again, with no surprise costs! Our project had a lot of unique features - elevation change, waterfalls, and a slide, and not only did Reid keep the project moving quickly, but actually finished it ahead of schedule! Once the pool was filled with water, Justin and Mike came to start-up our pool and teach us how to run everything. Reid, Justin, and Mike continue to be available to answer questions about the functionality and maintenance well after completion. Larsen's Pool and Spa is not only by your side during the project, but they stay by your side while you enjoy your pool for years to come. If you have any questions or issues, they are there to help, which is very different from other companies that once paid will just disappear. We are thrilled with how our pool turned out and definitely recommend Larsen's Pool and Spa to anyone choosing a pool company. And hopefully, if you do choose Larsen's, you will be lucky enough to work with Dan and Reid as we can't recommend them enough.
We had an excellent experience working with Larsen’s Pool & Spa from start to finish. From the very beginning, the company owner (Eric Larsen) personally reached out to us to introduce himself, provide his contact information, and let us know that we could contact him directly with any questions or concerns at any time. That level of accessibility and care immediately gave us confidence in our decision. The designer (Adam Washburn) did an outstanding job bringing our vision to life. He created three different pool designs for us, complete with detailed 3D sketches and a video walk through, which made it easy to visualize the final result. He was extremely constructive throughout the process, offering thoughtful suggestions and recommendations that ultimately made the design even better. During construction, the project manager (Reid Meyer) was exceptional at ensuring every phase of the project was completed properly and fully up to code. It was clear that quality and compliance were top priorities. All of the subcontractors were very respectful, professional, and efficient. Several of them mentioned how this company holds everyone accountable by double-checking work and making sure everything will pass county inspections, which really showed in the final outcome. After completing the pool construction, they went the extra mile by sending a chemical maintenance team (Mike and Justin) to manage the pool water chemistry for 30 days. This gave us peace of mind knowing the pool was properly balanced and safe while we learned the basics of maintenance ourselves. Their commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and post-construction support really set them apart. While this company was a little more expensive than other options we considered, we chose them because of their strong reputation and experience in the pool construction industry—and it was absolutely worth it. Our pool was completed within 60 days of groundbreaking, and we’ve received countless compliments from neighbors, friends, and even some of the inspectors on how beautiful it turned out. We are extremely satisfied with the service we received and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to build a pool. If you’re looking for professionalism, quality, and peace of mind, they definitely will not disappoint you.
I approached Larsen's Pool & Spa looking for assistance with renovating our pool, to include resurfacing the pool, along with paver installation, new coping, tile, SWG conversion and construction of an exterior patio area. I made this very clear to the receptionist who took my call, who told me the owner likes to talk to prospective clients and would call me in the next day or so. Later that day, the owner Doug called me to discuss the project, asking about the new pool we were constructing. I clarified with him that we were not looking to build a new pool but renovate an existing pool - not a minor resurfacing project but also not a new pool construction - and his attitude immediately turned cold towards me. He started telling me about the 20k-150k projects they have lined up and effectively started to treat me as someone not worth his time. When I clarified the scope of the project, he then suggested sending one of his designers out - and then when I told him we weren't looking to drop (in my exact words) 30 large on the project but weren't looking for a minor resurfacing either he tells me 'well I just don't think we're going to get along on this' and effectively hangs up on me. Personally I am a sales professional who is a longstanding top performer at my company, and left that call appalled with the lack of professionalism demonstrated here. Their website clearly advertises renovation/remodeling services, as does their listing on Angie's List and others - but clearly I wasn't considered worthy of their time when pursuing those exact services. Clearly they are only looking to consider those with tens of thousands of dollars to spend on their projects - if you aren't looking for that, I would steer clear of these guys.
Looked at all the great reviews. Had appt set up with Jeff. He had come to house he was very nice and that was it never heard from him again. I contacted him a couple of weeks later he said he had been sick . I understand getting sick but give the job to someone else. We never received our quote on what our job would be. After waiting months he had left a message but I did not want to do business unfortunately with this company figuring the communication was bad with getting a quote didn't know how project of installing a pool would go 😬
