I wish I could give Greg and his son Brandon 10 stars. I had an unusual situation and was a potential buyer of a saltwater fronting property with an existing pool. During inspection a very questionable building / safety issue was identified and I needed an inspection, report, and repair estimate within 48 hrs to meet my cancellation deadline. I was referred to Greg by another pool installation company who said if anyone could repair the mess he was the man. I placed a call after business hours and left a message outlining the issue and honestly was just hoping for a call back the following business day. To my surprise I received a call that same evening from Greg. After explaining my situation he reviewed my pictures and outlined to me what was needed for the repair, and set an appt for the following day. His son, Brandon, came out (in the pouring rain) and took detailed video and inspected the remaining areas of the pool deck and the condition of the pool itself. We had a three way discussion and I received a comprehensive inspection report and repair estimate that evening, quoting building and NFPA code violations. Big Splash Pools went above and beyond for me without even knowing if they would receive my business. Unfortunately, the seller refused concessions for partial repair cost and I was not willing to take on the full cost of the deck repair in addition to paying full asking price for the home, so I had to "walk away" and cancel the contract. However, my house hunt continues and if I find a non pool home, I know who will be my installation company! Thank you again Greg, @ Big Splash Pools, you saved me big time.
It’s so hard to imagine I left a very positive review for this company. I take all that back and regret giving any good feedback. This experience turned into a nightmare with Greg Jarque, the owner. He has never taken the time to even come and see the work that was done. He would rather just bicker back and forth on the phone. You can’t get a word in and you are left hanging. Our pavers were NEVER sealed OR not properly done. I had contacted the paver company myself and they reached out to a rep in our area and he came to view pavers. More than a dozen are cracked and have large pits….he stated they came manufactured like that and should have never been installed. He also said after ALMOST 2 years, our pavers should not appear as they do. Possible diluting of sealer mix or put on in correctly. We have had issues with the sand coming out of all the joints since day 1. I have contacted Greg on many occasions to discuss this only to be told it was normal. Almost all sand is out of the top and that should not occur this soon. Gaps all separating the coping and pavers. The sealer that is used states “excellent UV resistance”. Yet, ours are faded severely and rough to walk on, sandy, chalky. Greg will tell you he was always in touch with me when an issue arose. His answer always was, “that’s normal”….i had a lot of issues understanding the test levels of water and sure, he would tell me what to do, our salt cell had issues and it was under warranty and repaired BUT not without him making sure to say he warrantied that. No you did not, my cash warrantied that. When it came to major issues needing to be resolved he had such an ugly attitude about correcting his mess up and once again, he has never came out here to see this awful job done. As a paying customer, I have every right to be angry and frustrated because it’s pathetic a company we trusted has stooped to a level of non caring and acting as if he is doing me favors for correcting his mess ups. If this would have been done correctly the first time, we wouldn’t be discussing this or going through this nightmare. My next contact is BBB and keep going up the chain. I refuse to know others out there are being done like this. It’s unprofessional. He has stated the pavers will be replaced…the cracked ones, the ones that should have never been put down. He also says he’s paying 500.00 out of his pocket to redo the sealer. Well Greg, had the sealer been done or done correctly, this wouldn’t be occurring. MY 500.00 I paid was not a job well done. This man will never admit his faults and will never come take a look at the mess ups. I am attaching pics of the pavers a couple of months after install. I am also attaching a pic of what was shown to me at the time I was selecting my pavers. They look nothing alike. One last pic will be the mess I have now. Do your research on this company and don’t let someone take advantage of you and not want to drop the pride and say, “Yeah, that’s an awful job”….
I've worked with Greg on several occasions over the last couple of years and I can confidently say he is one of the most honest and professional contractors I've ever worked with. Finding a contractor who is skilled is one thing, but finding someone with integrity, great communication, and a strong work ethic is much harder and Greg checks every box. What sets Greg apart is not just the quality of his work, although his craftsmanship and attention to detail are consistently exceptional. It's his character. He is honest, dependable, and genuinely cares about doing the job right. His communication is clear, timely, and transparent. He keeps you informed throughout the entire process and always follows through on his commitments, exceeding expectations. He takes pride in his work, treats every project with care, and approaches each job with professionalism and respect. What I appreciate most is that Greg is someone you can trust. He does what he says he's going to do, shows up when he says he will, and stands behind both his word and his work. It's rare to find someone who combines technical skill, professionalism, and integrity the way Greg does. If you're looking for a contractor who is dependable, communicates well, and consistently delivers outstanding results, Greg is the person to call. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again and will continue recommending him to friends and family.

Her customer service is top-tier — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. It’s rare to find a company that combines quality work with such a high level of personalized service. I would absolutely recommend Big Splash Pools & Spa LLC to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable pool company.

Big Splash Pools & Spa of Masaryktown: Florida licensed since 2009, 4.7 from 63 Google reviews, serving Spring Hill, Hernando Beach and Hernando County.
Big Splash Pools & Spa works out of Broad Street in Masaryktown and holds Florida contractor license CPC1457911, current since July 2009 — seventeen years, which is a long run in this trade and the most substantial thing on this profile. They describe themselves as family owned, and while no public record settles that, their customers describe it independently and specifically: several mention dealing with a father and son through the build, and one notes they hire other local family businesses as subcontractors.
New pool construction, commercial pools, renovation, repairs, servicing, spas, water features and screen enclosures — one of the fuller service lists here, and the commercial capability is uncommon. The reviews cover the range rather than just new builds: pump installations, jets, and one account of a pre-purchase inspection where a safety problem was identified on a waterfront property with an existing pool and they walked the buyer through it. That kind of work is a decent signal about how a company behaves before there is any money in it.
Masaryktown, Spring Hill, Hernando Beach and Hernando County, and they publish pages written for those areas rather than one template with the place name swapped — so the reach is evidenced rather than asserted. Reviews continue to arrive, the most recent within a fortnight of this profile being built. One practical note: the number they publish is a toll-free line rather than a local one, so ask who covers your specific area.
Google has them at 4.7 from 63 reviews, above the 4.52 average across Florida's builders, and 63 reviews is a solid enough base for that to mean something. Nine customers name their professionalism and four the quality of the build, and the recurring note is availability — being reachable when needed, communicating through the process, and turning up. One reviewer had three estimates and chose them on the strength of the first meeting. There is one account that runs the other way and it deserves stating plainly rather than being buried, because it is recent and it is a reversal: a customer who had previously left a positive review came back in August 2026 to withdraw it, describing the experience as having become a nightmare and saying the owner never came to look at the problem himself. That is one reviewer out of sixty-three and no one else describes anything similar, so it is not a pattern — but a retracted review is a stronger signal than a first-time complaint, because the person had already been satisfied once. Worth knowing, not worth deciding on. If you use them, the sensible step is the ordinary one: agree in writing who comes back if something goes wrong after handover, and how quickly. Their site also calls them the best and the number one builder; nothing independent ranks Florida pool builders, and a seventeen-year license with a 4.7 does not need the slogan.

Yes. Florida contractor license CPC1457911 has been current since July 2009 — seventeen years.
4.7 from 63 reviews on Google, above the 4.52 Florida average on a base big enough to trust. Nine customers name their professionalism and four the build quality, and the recurring theme is availability — being reachable, communicating through the build, and turning up when needed.
One account, and it is unusual: a customer who had left a positive review returned in August 2026 to withdraw it, describing the experience as having become a nightmare and saying the owner never came out to see the problem. Nobody else describes anything similar out of sixty-three reviews, so it is not a pattern — but a retraction carries more weight than a first complaint.
Masaryktown, Spring Hill, Hernando Beach and Hernando County, with pages genuinely written for each of those areas rather than duplicated. The published number is toll-free, so ask who covers your specific address.
Yes — commercial pools, renovation, repairs, weekly servicing, spas, water features and screen enclosures. The reviews cover pump and jet work as well as full builds, and one describes a pre-purchase pool inspection.
They say so, and no public register confirms ownership either way — but their customers describe it independently, several mentioning dealing with a father and son through the build, and one noting they subcontract to other local family businesses.
