Rick and his crew tore out and reset the Travertine coping on our pool. They meticulously grind off the old mortar and reset all of the tiles. They did a great job.! Rick’s , many years of experience in the pool business shows. We’re getting an estimate from him on a pool heater.

About Cowgill Pools Inc

Cowgill Pools of Spring Hill: licensed since 2005 with almost no review record, and what to ask instead. FloridaPoolz.

Who they are

Cowgill Pools works out of Spring Hill in Hernando County, holding Florida pool contractor license CPC1457022, current since April 2005 — twenty-one unbroken years. Their state certification is verifiable on the register; the number one claim on their site is not, and neither is the insurance half of licensed and insured. Their current domain dates to late 2023 though the business has an earlier web history.

What they build

New pool construction, renovation, spas, water features and outdoor living work. Repair and ongoing servicing are not among what they publish. No separate area pages are published, so Spring Hill and the surrounding Hernando and Pasco area is the working assumption. A full set of project photographs is published on their own site.

What their reviews say

Two Google reviews, both five stars. Two is not a rating and cannot be compared with the Florida average of 4.52 — it says nothing about how they handle a difficult build, a delay or a disagreement. For a company licensed since 2005 that is a strikingly empty public record, and the likeliest explanation is that their work has come entirely by referral.

Worth asking about

With effectively no review record, everything a profile would normally tell you has to come from them. Ask how many pools they build in a typical year and how many they have completed in Hernando and Pasco. Ask for three customers from the last two years you can call — with two reviews on file, references are not a supplement to the rating, they are the whole of your evidence. Twenty-one years of continuous licensing is the one solid fact here, and it is worth having.

We want to make Quick Quote deserve its name. Unopened after an hour, it may pass to another licensed builder who covers the Spring Hill area. Not to more than one at a time.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Is Cowgill Pools licensed?

Yes. Florida pool contractor license CPC1457022 has been current since April 2005 — twenty-one unbroken years — and their state certification is verifiable on the register.

What do their reviews tell me?

Almost nothing. Two Google reviews, both five stars. That is not a rating and cannot be compared with the state average.

Why so few reviews for a company licensed since 2005?

Most likely their work has come entirely by referral rather than search. It is not a mark against them, but it does mean references are your only real evidence.

Do they repair or service pools?

Not from what they publish. New construction, renovation, spas, water features and outdoor living are listed.

What should I ask them?

How many pools they build in a typical year, how many they have completed locally, and for three customers from the last two years you can call.
