My buyers were so happy with Gilleys Custom Pools. The owners were very helpful and helped them to design thier back yard Florida dream. I will be referring them to all my clients.
Run away as fast as you can. We contracted for a 6' pool they shot a 5' pool and it went downhill from there. The owner Brandon told me he could fix it and if I did not like his fix I could sue him, I wish had. In hindsight it would have been worth 2 years in court. I settled for a raised pool which they claim is an upgrade but not if it is not what I wanted. My husband struggles to get out of. Zach the project manager, and bother in law is nothing but a liar, he opens his mouth and lies spew out. There is zero communication, Zach will tell you said vendor will be there on Tuesday, Tuesday passes no vendor, no communication, until I reached out, and he said "why did you not tell me?" Like that is my job? He will tell all about his and Brandon's personal business, anything but the facts, and quite frankly how unprofessional, but that is Zach, and Brandon. I refuse to deal with Zach anymore and only deal with Brandon, but he is no better. Liars. I am glad I work from home, I had to put my foot down multiple times and make them do the work right. When they put the texture on my deck the got texture on the drain hogs and pool tile, when I reached to Zach and Brandon they told not to bother them they were on vacation, and then send the cage contractor to put up the cage so they could get another payment, I sent them away, I would not allow any more work until my issues were addressed, this what is you would have to do as well, trust me. They expected to put the cage up and collect the 3rd payment and I would only owe less than 5k, no equipment, sod or dirt mind you, again, I had to put foot down and say not happening, I need equipment installed and dirt at minimum. The sent a pool company for a month to quote "get the water ready" we could not get in it during this time as it was "being treated" on to get continually have algae, so I had my water tested and $120 worth of chemicals later, my water it right. When I reached out to Brandon, he said oh it the rain we have had. Insult my intelligence like that, I had a pool and we have not enough rain to need 2 gallons of Muriatic acid amongst other chemicals. Just par for the course. Not one part of the project did not have an issue, not one, ultimately put my foot down and refuse payments until issues were corrected. I fell like I spent 7 months pushing a 101k problem uphill and now I am left with dirt on my hands. Unfortunately for me I did not see the paint over spray Zach did, until after I made the final payment, and for 5 weeks I keep hearing next week, clearly they have no intention of cleaning it. I attached pictures of the over spray below. I am not taking their refusal to fix this, I do have other options of recourse that I have every intention of pursuing, but what a drag. Some of the issues I had to deal with Any issue I brought up they acted like I had no idea what I was talking about, hello I am the client, and google Postponements, I get it happen but for every aspect ? Cement not poured all the way down the side of my house, until I complained I contracted for a 27' deck but it was so crooked they had to cut off 3-4" to put up the cage I contracted for a 5' pool, now I have a raised pool Cement on my house Cement and Paint on my drain hog covers My filter leaked because the did not lube it Water not treated, as promised Paint on my cage and screen They ordered the wrong size bull nose so another delay. They left slag in the hole to filter in the skimmer, we sucked it out with a shop vac, last photo. Too funny Zach "Zachary Kaulbars" posted a review he does not even have a pool that I know of and even I he does, he is related so is Terry Gilley, that is an uncle, how pathetic you have to get your family to leave reviews. I wonder how many more are fake. Brandon did reach out to me and took care of the paint overspray. I really do have a stunning pool and cage, it is too bad Zach was so inept, if not for him I would have given 4 maybe 5 stars

We checked Gilley's Custom Pools of North Port against every pool builder in Florida — license CPC1459630, what they build, and where they stand.
Gilley's Custom Pools works from South Chamberlin Boulevard in North Port, Sarasota County. Their Florida pool contractor license, CPC1459630, has been current since 2021 and is qualified in the family name the company trades under.
Google shows 4.8 from 33 reviews, against a Florida average of 4.52 — clearly above it, on a sample big enough to mean something without being one of the largest here. Five reviewers name the way the crew conducted itself on site. No complaint recurs across enough separate customers to form a theme.
They publish genuinely separate pages for North Port, Englewood, Venice and Port Charlotte — written for each place rather than one template with the name swapped, which is rarer than it should be and a fair sign they actually work those areas. That is a tight stretch of the Gulf coast either side of the Sarasota and Charlotte county line.
New pool construction and commercial work, with renovation, repair, ongoing service, screen enclosures, spas, water features and outdoor living. That is an unusually wide list, and commercial pools in particular are a distinct capability — an HOA or hotel pool is a different job from a backyard build. They describe themselves as licensed and insured: the license checks out on the public record, and insurance is not something a public register confirms, so ask for a current certificate. The number is (941) 786-8479.
