I had an amazing experience with this pool building company. I worked directly with Alex, and he was fantastic from start to finish—super knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. The project was completed much faster than I expected, and the price was very affordable for the quality of work. I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to build a pool. Alex Miron is the best!

We hired Pool Pros Builder to construct a backyard spa in our existing pool, and unfortunately, our experience has been extremely frustrating and very different from what was presented and promised when we signed the contract. Before choosing Pool Pros Builder, we obtained quotes from several companies. They were not the cheapest option—in fact, they were one of the more expensive companies we considered. Because this is a significant financial investment, we chose them believing the higher cost was justified by the timeline, quality, service, project management, and overall experience they promised. One of the main reasons we chose them was the promise that the project would take approximately 12 weeks to complete. We signed our contract in September 2025, and construction did not begin until April 20, 2026. We are now approaching one year since signing the contract, and the project is still far from complete. We have now been told the completion date has been pushed to early December 2026, after previously being told September 2026. Since construction began, we have experienced more downtime than actual progress. We are not in the pool business, but even to us it is concerning to see such long periods with little or no visible activity. Inspections, interestingly, have generally moved forward without significant delays. All of the delays appear to be on the construction side. We raised our concerns well in advance about the amount of downtime and specifically warned that we were concerned the original completion date would not be met. We were told not to worry. Unfortunately, those concerns have now become reality, and the completion date continues to move further out. Another major concern is that we have had three different project managers since construction began. This constant turnover has made it extremely difficult to have consistency, accountability, and confidence that someone is truly overseeing our project from beginning to end. Communication has also been extremely disappointing. We rarely see the project manager, and most updates come on Fridays through messages. Unfortunately, these updates often do not provide meaningful information about what was completed, what is currently being worked on, what is causing delays, or what the next steps are. We should not have to repeatedly chase information about a project of this size and financial commitment. During the sales process, we were specifically told that Pool Pros Builder did not subcontract and had its own crews. This was presented as an advantage and as one of the reasons they could maintain better control of the project and meet the promised timeline. Unfortunately, what was presented during the sales process and what we have experienced have been very different. Another concern is the payment process. Whenever an agreed-upon phase is completed, payment requests are handled promptly. However, the same urgency does not seem to exist when it comes to moving construction forward. This has left us feeling that if we do not pay, additional progress may not happen. We have already paid approximately 95% of the project, while the spa remains in the concrete/construction phase with pipes still visible throughout. We recently had a call with the project manager to formally raise all of these concerns and make it clear that we need accountability, transparency, and a clear plan forward. We are expecting to meet at our home this week to discuss how this project will be completed without further unnecessary delays. At this point, we cannot continue accepting this level of service. We have made a significant financial investment, invested considerable time and energy into this project, and have been more than patient. Our investment, our time, and the expectations established when we signed the contract deserve to be respected. I will update this review if we see meaningful improvement, consistent progress, better communication, and, ultimately, a successful completion of the project.

Pool Pros Builder just completed our pool. The process was smooth and painless. From the beginning, while we were gathering estimates, the whole staff was amazing. Nathan conducted the visit and gave us an estimate right away. Our project manager Nelsy was incredible throughout the whole process! She communicated consistently and effectively and made sure that every question was answered. They were truly amazing throughout the whole process, if I ever build a pool again I’m definitely calling Pool Pros, thank you!

I genuinely cannot recommend this company to anyone. Our pool construction has dragged on for nearly a YEAR, and after everything we have gone through just trying to get this project completed, the pool is STILL LEAKING. This has been one of the most frustrating contractor experiences I have ever had. The project has been plagued by delay after delay, permit and inspection issues, barrier/gate issues, and an overall lack of urgency in getting the job finished properly. Then, after finally reaching the point where we thought we were approaching the end, we discovered that the pool was leaking. TWICE! They came out and supposedly repaired the leak. We waited to see if the repair worked. It has now been approximately two weeks and, unbelievably, THE POOL IS STILL LEAKING. At some point, delays stop being understandable construction complications and become a pattern of poor project management and failure to deliver a completed, functioning product. We have been extraordinarily patient throughout this process. Nearly a year later, I should be enjoying the pool I paid for ..: not continuing to watch the water level drop while waiting for yet another problem to be addressed. If you are considering hiring this company, I strongly suggest doing your research, asking very detailed questions about timelines and accountability, and thinking carefully about whether you are prepared for the possibility of an extremely prolonged construction process. After nearly a year, multiple issues, and now an unsuccessful attempt to repair a leaking brand-new pool, my patience is completely exhausted. I regret choosing this company and would not use them again.

From the very first contact with the company, we were pleasantly surprised by their quick response and personalized attention. They scheduled the initial visit promptly, and the entire process was smooth and professional. Nelsy personally assisted us at every stage, guiding us through the entire process — from permits, design plans, to the selection of finishes and technical details. Her kindness and willingness to address all our questions were outstanding. Regarding timelines, the company was highly organized. The schedule they provided was followed with great accuracy. When minor issues arose — which is common in any construction project — the team was responsible and proactive in resolving them without delays. Nelsy played key roles in the daily execution on-site, ensuring that every phase was carried out with quality and attention to detail. We want to highlight the excellent work of Mr. Luis, who led the excavation process with great expertise and precision. Additionally, he was also in charge of the pool maintenance and post-construction cleaning, a service we highly recommend to leave the area spotless and fully ready for use. And monthly maintenance The company made sure not to cut corners on any essential aspect of the pool. They recommended the best options, including an efficient heating system, high-quality lighting, and the use of Pebble Tec finish, which we definitely recommend for its beauty, durability, and the pleasant texture it provides. Everyone on the team was professional and friendly. Communication was always clear and easy, whether in person or over the phone, and any concerns we had were addressed promptly. In summary, we are completely satisfied with the final result and the comprehensive experience: from the initial visit, permits, design, construction, to the final finishes. If you're looking for a serious, committed, and professional company, do not hesitate to hire them. A big thank you to Nelsy, Nathan, and Luis for their dedication and excellent work. From the first contact with the company, we were pleasantly surprised by their speed of response and personalized attention. We coordinated the initial visit in a very short time and, from then on, the entire process was flawless. At every stage, Nelsy personally attended to us, guiding us step by step: from obtaining permits and designing the plans to selecting finishes and handling all the technical details. Her kindness, patience, and willingness to answer our questions were simply exceptional. Regarding deadlines, the company was very organized and professional. The work schedule they provided was largely adhered to, and in the few unforeseen circumstances that arose—which are normal in any construction project—the team responded quickly, responsibly, and without delay. Nelsy was fundamental to the project, supervising and ensuring that each stage was executed to the quality we expected. We would especially like to acknowledge Don Luis, who expertly led the excavation process. He also personally oversaw the pool's maintenance and the final cleaning after construction, a service we highly recommend to ensure the area is in perfect condition and ready for use. And then there's the monthly cleaning maintenance. One aspect we greatly appreciated was that the company spared no expense in ensuring a top-quality pool. They recommended the best options, including an efficient heating system, high-end lighting, and the application of Pebble Tec liner, which we highly recommend for its durability, beauty, and excellent texture. The entire team was always friendly, professional, and transparent in their communication, both in person and over the phone. Any questions or additional needs were addressed promptly and professionally.

We hired Pool Pros Builder to construct a backyard spa, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. The project has gone well beyond the timeline stated in our contract and is still not complete. Communication has been consistently poor. Messages often go unanswered, and we frequently have to follow up multiple times just to get basic updates. There have also been long delays between phases of work, sometimes lasting weeks with no meaningful progress. We were also fined after dewatering was performed without the required dewatering permit being obtained. In addition, survey and inspection issues caused further delays. Most recently, the spa developed a leak that has continued for several weeks. We were told the underground piping had been repaired, but the spa was still leaking the following day. Because the leak has not been resolved, we are unable to proceed with final inspections. Throughout the project, the company has appeared much more responsive when requesting payment than when addressing delays, defects, or scheduling concerns. At this point, we are asking for a properly completed, leak-free spa, successful final inspections, and clear communication regarding the remaining work. I will update this review if the company resolves the leak and completes the project satisfactorily.

About Jr Pool Pros Inc

Learn everything about JR Pool Pros, trading as Pool Pros Builder — their reviews, three licenses, and what customers report! Only at FloridaPoolz.

Who they are

JR Pool Pros, trading as Pool Pros Builder, works from South West 49th Street in Davie, Broward County. They hold three current Florida pool contractor licenses: CPC1459100 from March 2018, CPC1460136 from January 2023 and CPC1460657 from June 2024. They build new pools, take commercial work, and handle renovation, spas and outdoor living, and describe themselves as South Florida's premier pool builders.

What the reviews say

Google has them at 4.7 from 112 reviews, which is close to two tenths above the Florida average of 4.52 across the 346 builders on this directory. Four reviewers name their professionalism and three their communication, and the warmest accounts describe quick first responses and attentive scheduling.

Six of the twenty most recent reviews are one or two stars, and that is a higher proportion than a 4.7 average suggests — worth knowing, because it means the recent record is more mixed than the headline figure. Two of those accounts describe the same thing: duration. One customer had a spa built into an existing pool and describes the experience as extremely frustrating and nothing like what was sold. Another says their pool construction dragged on for nearly a year.

So the honest reading is a firm that most customers rate highly and that has recently taken longer than some customers expected. The praise is about responsiveness at the start; the complaints are about the middle.

What they build

New residential pools, commercial pools, renovation, spas and hot tubs, and outdoor living, from Davie across South Florida. They publish no separate town pages, so there is no service-area list of their own beyond Broward and the surrounding counties.

Before you sign

Put the schedule in the contract. Both detailed complaints are about time, and a completion date with a consequence attached is the only thing that makes a timetable real. Ask which of the three licenses covers your job and who the qualifying agent is. Tie payments to inspected stages rather than dates, so a slow month does not also become an expensive one. Ask for two customers whose pools were finished in the last six months and call them. The licenses are real; ask for the insurance certificate separately.

We want to make Quick Quote deserve its name. Unopened after an hour, it may pass to another licensed builder who covers the Davie area. Not to more than one at a time.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Is JR Pool Pros licensed in Florida?

Yes, three times: CPC1459100 since March 2018, CPC1460136 since January 2023 and CPC1460657 since June 2024, all current. Ask which covers your job and who the qualifying agent is, then ask for the insurance certificate separately.

Why do they appear under two names?

The licenses are held as JR Pool Pros Inc and the business trades as Pool Pros Builder, which is the name on their website and their Google listing.

How does their rating compare with other Florida builders?

4.7 from 112 Google reviews, against a Florida average of 4.52 across the 346 builders on this directory — close to two tenths above the middle.

What do the complaints say?

Mostly about how long the work took. One customer having a spa built into an existing pool describes the process as extremely frustrating and unlike what was sold. Another says their build ran close to a year. Six of the twenty most recent reviews are one or two stars, so the recent record is more mixed than the average alone suggests.

What should be in the contract?

A completion date with a consequence for missing it, payments tied to inspected stages rather than calendar dates, and the names and numbers of two customers whose pools were finished in the last six months.
