The best and the worst from each platform. Both, always.
Splash City Pools built our 2nd pool and the experience was amazing far BETTER than the first one we had built at another home and that company did a good job. We have a 30x15 in ground pool with a pretty sizable pavers installed. From start to finish the experience was stellar. Prior to start Andrew and his team explained in detail the timing, where the most likely, if any, delays would occur, permitting and coordinating the paperwork with our HOA. Turns out he was spot on. Our HOA was the delay as we estimated, but from there it went along swimmingly. The team was timely, clean, and fast. Our dig, pour, electrical, and inspection, went flawlessly. We passed all on the first go and our pool was completed in a little over two months. We started May 7th and I’m lounging poolside with my feet floating in 5ft of saltwater right now July 20th. Andrew even scheduled our pool class at our convenience on a Saturday and educated us on the actual pool cleaning equipment we needed. We returned two vacuums we had just purchased and saved even more money. Great experience and even a greater Veteran-owned company.
Splash City Pools did an awesome job. Claude came out and helped design and size the pool after listening to our ideas and budget. The build itself took only 6 weeks from first dig to fill. Jack was there to oversee the whole process. We were out of town and he kept in phone contact and sent pics as things progressed. Once filled John and Jack maintained the pool for the first 30 days, getting the pool up and running. Even Andrew (the owner) came to the house to troubleshoot a WiFi connection issue and got it corrected. All in all it was a pleasant stress free experience from start to finish. With all the horror stories out there about pool builders I would highly recommend working with Splash City Pools. No regrets.
This is an excellent company to work with. Any time I called or messaged Andrew or his team with questions, they were responsive and followed up promptly. Communication was consistently strong, and they were efficient with deadlines while staying on schedule throughout the process. I worked with them on quotes for over a year—largely due to delays on my end—and they remained patient and supportive the entire time, even without certainty that I would move forward. They went above and beyond by meeting me at the tile shop to explain product options and how different choices would impact the build. Whenever an issue or request came up, they addressed it quickly and made sure I was satisfied. I can’t say enough good things about this company and would confidently recommend them to anyone.

Splash City Pools of Valrico: a strong review record, two companies on one website, and what to check first. Only at FloridaPoolz.
Splash City Pools works out of Valrico in Hillsborough County, holding Florida pool contractor license CPC1460097, current since December 2022. A separately registered company, First City Pools and Spas, appears on the same website under a different qualifier — it is not the same registration, so ask which entity your contract names. Their site claims a two-year warranty and number one status; neither is on any public record, and the review history is.
New pool construction, renovation, repair and servicing, spas, water features, screen enclosures and outdoor living work, with commercial pools alongside residential. It is a full offer. No separate area pages are published, so Valrico and the surrounding Hillsborough area is the working assumption.
4.9 from 72 Google reviews, well above the Florida pool builder average of 4.52 and on a count solid enough to be dependable. The praise is broad rather than narrow: seven customers each raised build quality and professionalism independently, four their keeping to schedule and four the communication. Four separate things going right for different people is a better signal than a high score alone, and no complaint theme was raised by two or more customers.
Little in the review record, which is unusually clean. The two things to settle are administrative rather than about the work: which of the two companies sharing the website will appear on your contract and hold the license for your job, and what the advertised two-year warranty actually covers in writing — a warranty is only as good as its written terms, and nothing public confirms it exists. The license dating from December 2022 is worth a question about work done before then.
