If you’re looking for a pool builder who truly cares about his customers, I can’t recommend Joe highly enough. From day one, his communication was outstanding. He was always available when we had questions, kept us informed throughout the entire process, and made us feel like a priority every step of the way. What impressed us most was his attention to detail and personal service. Joe didn’t just build us a pool—he helped bring our vision to life. He offered creative ideas and design suggestions that we never would have thought of on our own, and those details made all the difference in the final result. Another thing that stood out was his pricing. Joe delivers exceptional quality, top-of-the-line products, and the latest technology, all while remaining very reasonably priced. We never felt like we were being upsold, and the value we received far exceeded our expectations. Even years after completion, Joe still follows up to make sure everything is working properly and that we aren’t experiencing any issues. That level of customer service is almost impossible to find these days. As a local business owner, Joe has built a reputation for being trustworthy, honest, and genuinely committed to his customers. By the end of the project, Joe wasn’t just our pool builder—he became a friend. We absolutely love our pool and are grateful for the incredible experience from start to finish. If you’re considering a pool project, do yourself a favor and call Joe. You won’t find a better combination of quality, service, value, and integrity.

Does not stand by warranty and main office is a p.o.box. I guess we got what we paid for. Stay away from Titus Pools. My pool that is failing and falling apart

★★★★★ Google · June 23, 2026

Joe Titus built our family the most amazing pool and we have been enjoying it for the last year! We showed him our inspiration photos and he transformed those ideas into something more than we could have even imagined. We enjoy our new space every day of the week and have most enjoyed spending our most recent days watching our grandchildren love the water more and more every day! Our experience during construction and following was more than professional from start to finish and we couldn’t be more happy. He gave us all the tools to keep our pool and deck top notch and he continues to be a resource of knowledge. There are few people I could recommend as highly than Mr. Titus, and NONE more!!

Does not stand by their work. Stay away. Claims to be a good Christian. I would say this is a person who takes advantage of people. Not happy with pieces of my pool are now coming apart. He claimed a sub contractor did it. But if you can’t stand by your work, why even be in business unless you want to take advantage of people.

We had a wonderful experience with this pool company from start to finish! Joe was knowledgeable, experienced, and walked us through every step of the process, making sure we understood what to expect and answering all of our questions along the way. The entire team was professional, communicative, and committed to delivering a quality product. Our new pool turned out beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier with the final result. If you’re looking for a pool builder who is honest, experienced, and truly cares about their customers, we highly recommend them. Thank you, Joe, for helping bring our backyard vision to life! We absolutely love our new pool! 🏊‍♂️☀️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not a good pool resurface company. He completed my pool 3/4/26 and it’s already failing. The surface is already coming off. He blamed me, then blamed his subcontractor. Did not offer to patch it. Won’t compensate. Please stay away from this company. He is bad news.

About Titus Pools Plus Inc

Titus Pools Plus of Lakeland: pool renovation and resurfacing, Florida licensed since 2004.

Who they are

Titus Pools Plus works out of Eaton Park, near Lakeland in Polk County, and gives a PO Box rather than a street address. Their Florida license, RP252554854, has been held since June 2004 and shows current, renewing in August 2027. It is recorded as an RP registration rather than the CPC certified pool contractor license that most companies on this list hold, which fits what they actually do: their own site offers renovation, resurfacing, spas and water features, not new pool construction. One reviewer puts it more plainly than their homepage does — that this is not a pool supply store, they do installs and repairs.

What they do

Pool renovation and resurfacing, spas and water features. If you are looking for someone to build a new pool from scratch, this is not that company, and nothing on their site claims otherwise. If you are looking to have an existing pool resurfaced, they are in that business and have been for twenty years — but read the record below before you commission it.

Where they work

Lakeland and the surrounding part of Polk County; their own headline names Lakeland. They publish no pages for individual towns and their website carries a 2005 copyright with no sitemap at all, so there is very little published detail to go on. The business itself is trading: the most recent customer review arrived in July 2026.

What the record shows

Google has them at 3.5 from 8 reviews, which is a full point below the 4.52 average across Florida's builders — and unlike most low scores on small samples, the reason is legible. Three of those eight reviewers describe the same failure: work coming apart after completion. Two of them wrote within a day of each other in June 2026. One says a pool resurfaced in March of this year was already losing its surface by June; the other says pieces of their pool were coming apart. Both report the same response — that the blame was placed on a subcontractor, and that no repair or compensation was offered. Three customers out of eight is not a bad month or an unlucky review; it is most of the published record saying the same thing about the durability of the work and about what happens when it fails. Against that, three reviewers do name their professionalism, so the experience is clearly not bad for everyone. The company also advertises itself as number one. If you are considering them for a resurface, the specific thing to settle in writing before any money changes hands is the warranty on the surface itself: how long it runs, who honours it if a subcontractor did the work, and what happens if it fails inside a year. That is the exact point at which the published accounts break down.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Do Titus Pools Plus build new pools?

No. Their site offers renovation, resurfacing, spas and water features, and their license is recorded as an RP registration rather than the CPC certified pool contractor license most builders on this list hold. For a new build from scratch, look elsewhere.

Are they licensed?

Yes. Florida license RP252554854 has been held since June 2004 and shows current, renewing in August 2027 — a different cycle from the August 2026 date most pool contractors on this list share.

What do the reviews actually say?

Google sits at 3.5 from 8 reviews, a full point below the 4.52 Florida average. Three of the eight describe work coming apart after it was finished, two of them writing in June 2026 about a resurface that failed within months. Both say the blame was put on a subcontractor and that no repair was offered. Three reviewers also name their professionalism, so it plainly goes well for some customers.

What should I settle before hiring them for a resurface?

The warranty on the surface, in writing: how long it lasts, who honours it if a subcontractor carried out the work, and what happens if it fails within the first year. That is precisely where the negative accounts on record break down, so leaving it vague is the risk you can most easily remove.

Are they the number one pool company in the area?

That is their own claim and nothing supports it. A 3.5 average from eight reviews does not establish a ranking, and no independent body publishes one.

Are they still trading?

Yes. Their website has not been meaningfully updated in many years and still carries a 2005 copyright, but customer reviews continue to arrive, the most recent in July 2026.
