UPDATE: Changed from 3 to 4 stars because they addressed some issues after seeing my review. Thank you for that. Please use this feedback to improve further. ORIGINAL: The end result was fine. The workers were diligent and did a good job. But there are other areas that need work. The first thing, though minor, is that you should always address your customers by the correct name. The office manager called me by the wrong name in some messages. This made me wary of any files attached to emails. It's very simple to make sure you are addressing the correct person before sending an email. My first big concern was during the beginning of construction. They needed to shut off the main valve to the sprinkler system just in case a pipe was hit during digging. That was on March 26. After plumbing passed inspection, I asked many times if I could turn the main back on so I could turn the front yard zone back on, but was told no. The main needed to remain off for some reason. They turned it back on May 3, but only after I brought it up as they were leaving. A lot of my front yard was dead at that point. I hired somebody to come adjust my system, and he was completely baffled why they made me have the main line shut off for over a month. He had never heard of that before, and said there should be no reason why I couldn't have had just the front yard zones turned back on. My next big concern came on April 4. We decided to finance part of the pool. It was Sunny Pool's responsibility to request payments to be released from the lender. On my 3rd payment, they requested the wrong amount. The office manager told me I owed an additional $3,101 out of pocket, with no explanation. I pulled up all the paperwork and highlighted what the payment SHOULD have been. The difference was $3,101. Had I not checked for myself and pointed out the error, I would have paid over $3k out of pocket for no reason. There was no apology for the error, but instead a response of: "I was told that you do not need to pay out of pocket now. You will pay when the time for the final payment comes in." I'm not sure she understood that there was an error. Sounds like she was still expecting me to pay that $3,101 during the final payment. My 3rd concern came the week of paver installation. I was initially told that the pavers would be started, and "probably completed" on Wednesday, April 17. The workers came on Wednesday and installed the pavers around the pool coping, but then no progress on Thursday or Friday. I sent a text to make sure everything was okay (i.e. nobody was sick, etc.), and the response I received seemed like shock that nobody had come to finish the deck during the week: "Nobody appeared?" Somebody finally showed up Friday evening after 5pm and began work, and they finished on Saturday. Was my project forgotten about? Would they have even come had I not reached out? Seemed alarming that my contact did not know where the workers were during that week. Lastly, when the project was done, I asked the office manager about project clean-up. There were leftover pavers that were supposed to have been moved to the front of the house so I could put them in the garage, as well as trash, unused equipment, and a lot of debris on the deck (dirt, sand, screws, nails, wiring, and pieces of screen). I emailed the office manager about it and she said: "I was not aware of it since I do not go to job sites. {Name} is in a copy and will take care of it. Don't you worry. I will let you know when it will be done this week." I waited the rest of the week. Nobody came. I emailed on Monday and then they came to move the pavers and remove the trash, but the deck still remained a mess. They hired a 3rd-party company to clean the pool, who told me the deck needed to be swept and pressure washed, or else the pool will get dirty again. The next morning, the pool was full of dirt again. If it was intended to be my responsibility before the first cleaning, they should have told me that ahead of time. I feel like that first cleaning was a waste.

I am writing this review to share my experiences and thoughts on our pool construction and installation process. 1. **Communication and Office Interaction**: I found the communication with the office to be disappointing, to the point where I believe there may be a language barrier. The overall interaction could be improved. When conducting business, it’s important to create a friendly atmosphere. It's essential to address clients by their names, be polite, and offer sincere apologies when necessary. That said, Mauricio did an excellent job of communicating by answering questions and clarifying doubts. 2. **Attention to Detail**: I recommend focusing on attention to detail when installing a rectangular pool. It’s crucial to ensure that the edges are straight, as fixing them later often leads to unsatisfactory results. There are techniques available to keep the pool aligned before the deck installation. 3. **Installation Time**: The total construction and installation process typically takes around 4 to 5 months, depending on the permit approval and weather conditions. While the initial installation may only take a few days, the finishing touches often progress slowly, as workers may only show up one or two days a week. 4. **The Workers**: The workers are undoubtedly the most valuable asset of this company. They are hardworking and knowledgeable, which greatly contributes to the construction process. Overall, my experience was positive, despite the areas I mentioned. I recommend that potential clients address these points in advance to ensure a smoother experience.

Once my wife and I decided we wanted to build a pool in our backyard, our next step was finding a reputable company. We found that several people in our community had used Sunny Pools and were extremely satisfied with them so we setup an appointment. Mauricio showed up right on time and listened to what we wanted. We thought we had a 22’ by 40’ area to work with but Mauricio informed us that we only had 12’x40’ because of a 10 foot setback. He assured us that he had worked with smaller spaces before and would draw up a plan for us to look at. The plan called for moving the ac condenser unit to the corner and building an 8’ x 16’ plunge pool with decking and an enclosed area. We loved the idea. Lake County and our HOA took approximately 6 weeks to approve the plans and from there on it was Sunny Pool all the way. Their subcontractors were incredible and the communication level between us and Sunny Pools was phenomenal. Rosanna from their office, through constant emails, kept us informed on every single scheduled step along the way. Mauricio and Vini were constantly on-site to make sure everything was done properly and to our satisfaction. They handled our concerns and requested slight changes in a professional and satisfactory manner. Once everything was finished, they made sure we totally understood how to set the filter/heater system to our liking. We would totally recommend Sunny Pools if you’re contemplating building a pool.

Sunny Pools installed a small 10x16' Latham fiberglass plunge pool + salt water system + heater at my house within the past 6 months. Communication from Rosana throughout the process was great (they took care of all permits, inspections, etc) and their workers were professional, knowledgeable and careful with all aspects of the installation. In addition to the pool, they built our beautiful paver patio that continues to get tons of compliments ("Who built your pool? Did they also build your patio?") They were also extremely patient with this brand new pool owner who didn't understand normal Florida pool evaporation vs. thinking I had a slow leak - they even sent a 3rd party leak company over for a thorough(!!) inspection. Their price for the work vompleted wasn't the least expensive, but you truly do get what you pay for...I'd have no problem whatsoever recommending them to anyone in central Florida who might be in the market for a new pool, built carefully from people who are excellent at what they do.
