Wiseman Pools did a great job and provided exactly the product we originally imagined. Gary was our supervisor and he was very responsive and kept things moving along. Doug handled the scheduling and Tim the design. All of team there were professional and helpful. We are very happy with the results and highly recommend Wiseman.

★★★★★Alan Hayes · Jun 2020Google

Thank you SO much to Shawn, Jordan and Greg for making our dream pool a reality. I personally have 35 years in the pool industry in South Florida and we picked Wiseman Pools carefully. They not only built a GREAT pool but ON TIME and ON BUDGET! Thank you guys! Hayes in Howey

★★★★★Kevin Strickland · May 2020Google

They made building a pool an easy and satisfying process. No pressure sales and were interested in only creating the perfect back yard oasis. Very happy with our pool!

Our friends in Stonecrest have a pool built by Wiseman pools and it is absolutely beautiful. When the time comes for us to build one, we will contact you.

I don't mean to belabor the point Mr. Wiseman. I signed my contract on September 9, 2020, 418 days ago. I received an email from Ms. Capps on December 3, 2020 outlining the process going forward. That is the only time I have heard anything about the process or schedule on my pool. When I called the scheduler mentioned in the email back in January he informed me that he no longer did scheduling and to contact my field supervisor. I do not hear from the field supervisor on a weekly, or for that matter, monthly basis. I hear back from him when I contact him. My only suggestion is that in these unusual times being contacted to let a customer know what is specifically holding up his project would be welcomed. Leaving it up to the customer to ferret out the holdup seems backward. Having nobody show up on the project for over a month without any update just seems like poor project management. I feel it is appropriate to do an update of my review of 7 months ago. Progress has been painfully slow as seen from the updated photo. The work that has been done over the last 7 months is as follows: 1. The privacy wall has been erected. 2. The tiles have been installed. 3. The lanai screen has been removed. 4. The paver deck was installed. As an aside on this, they did a beautiful job. And all this took only 7 months. Nobody was on the job at all during the month of October. I noted another reviewer complaining about slow progress and Mr. Wiseman correctly pointed out supply chain issues, labor shortage, Covid, etc. All of that is legitimate. He also noted the customers were notified of these issues via emails. I received no such emails, nor calls absolutely no contact since signing the contract. And that is my chief complaint - lack of communication. My deck is installed and a month goes by with nobody showing up. I have every confidence I will end up with a beautiful pool. Wiseman builds beautiful pools. But, the lack of communication with your customers during these difficult times inexcusable. Ken Oberg I signed a contract to build my pool 169 days ago and the progress has been disappointing to say the least. I remain hopeful that the final product will be worth the wait. It took over 4.5 months from signing until the first workers showed up to cut and cap the sprinklers and remove the sod on Jan 29-30. In the nearly 2 months since then workers have been on the job only 5 days and I have the concrete shell. It is disappointing that all during this time I have had virtually no contact with the company. My field supervisor has been responsive to my calls but followup dates are often missed. It is explained that COVID and an abundance of work is the cause of the delay. While that may be true, if you are considering using Wiseman for their deserved reputation of building a quality pool be aware the progress may be painfully slow.

I see many great reviews for Wiseman. I wish this was one of them. Denise from the office is a big thumbs down. Awful communication! I left three voice messages and an email over four day period in regards to a warranty repair. She finally decided to contact us (after we called a salesman to relay a message to the office) and stated to my wife that she emailed me and left me two voicemails. That never happened! I cannot stand when people alter their stories to cover their own incompetence. There is no excuse for that. Our new pool was down for 10 days with an electrical issue. Water from the rain entered the electric panel and caused damage. We ended up repairing it ourselves at our own expense. The pool was starting to turn green. Thank you Denise for your amazing customer service! Feel free to respond to this short review down below. I am sure that will you will improve and speed up your communication skills now. A little late for that. Seeing that this is under warranty, I will be sure to send you the bill for the repair if you would like. Big disappointment... After this review was left: The response from Wiseman in regards to this review is not accurate. I figured as much. Lesson learned for us. Response for your scheduling of your electrician: He called me while I was at work and told me that his eta (estimated time of arrival) was 6 minutes. That is a great way to schedule. And it was NOT 5 days, it was 10! Enough of the ridiculous drama from you people. I am sick of your excuses, cover ups and lack of professionalism. You are just trying too hard to make yourselves look like you didn't do anything wrong to people who read this. I just hope that you do not do this to anyone else in the future. Good bye and good riddance!

Company Snapshot

Wiseman Pools operates out of Leesburg, in Lake County. Its Certified Pool/Spa Contractor license, CPC1457504, has been active under qualifier Jeremy Shawn Wiseman since 2007.

Specialties

Customer feedback repeatedly credits named staff for supervision, scheduling, and design — reviewers single out individuals (Gary, Doug, Tim, and separately Shawn, Jordan, Greg) for keeping builds moving and delivering the design they'd pictured. The most common praise themes are professionalism, general recommendation, and finished appearance, which points to a stronger reputation around outcomes than around process.

What Customers Say

Wiseman Pools carries a 3.5-star rating across 38 reviews, a split record: several 4- and 5-star reviewers describe attentive supervisors and builds that came in on time and on budget, while the lower-rated reviews cluster hard around one theme — delays and stalled communication, cited by eight separate reviewers. One long-running 2020 contract holder documented over a year of gaps between site visits and difficulty reaching an assigned field supervisor, and a smaller number of reviews mention rude interactions or permit-related friction.

Bottom Line

The license is current, and real customers do call out specific staff for good design work. The concern is response time once a contract is signed — with eight separate reviewers flagging delays, ask upfront how project updates are handled and get a communication cadence in writing.
