Pool Planning / Start Time: October 2022. Actual Finish Time (Swim / Water fill): June 2023. Pool Type: In-ground, Saltwater 10k gallons. Punch list items: Still on-going. Overall: I give Atlas Pools a 4 star review due to their incredible staff, knowledgeable technicians, and friendly culture. A great shoutout to Mike G for handling our punch list items and supervisor Kevin for checking in on quality. Both were extremely responsive and friendly. Fred was also a great sales rep and he continued to help set expectations for our build. The shell, screen, plumbing, and equipment worked well and finished as expected. The shortfalls: In quality I believe they fall short due to their choices in sub-contractors. This pool company boast about their quality and reputation. We chose them not because they were the cheapest but because of horror stories we've heard and tried to avoid with other pool companies in the area. We feel we paid above market value for our pool. Pool build started off in late October, 2022 (design) with an expected completion time of March-April at worse. Our first bulldozer out in mid December and things moved surprisingly fast as our screen enclosure was up and ready to go in late march. By this time we just needed surface and this is where the issues began. Surface: All worked stopped for two months with no communication from the subcontractor. We were furious as our expected completion time was late April at the worst and it was now June. The plaster company came randomly with no warning and in short gave us a sloppy finish tarnishing our grout, tile, and deck clearly by mistake. While no pool surface is 100% perfect there are obviously visible signs of a rushed job. Also watch the calcium levels these remained shockingly high for a while. High PH is normal. Deck Paint: The first coat went on right after our deck texture but the job looked as if someone with no painting experience rolled the paint. We had visible marks up the walls of our house and on our tile and tile liner. The second coat had to be finished by a different contractor. Sidewalk Repair: Still overdue to this day. We paid for any damage to the sidewalk and over a year later we still have not had a contractor come out to fix this issue. In summary, I believe the issues with this pool company are specifically related to their contractors and less the company itself. They seem to have issues with their finishing contractors. Minor but they can slow the completion time down quite a bit. I believe the speed of their builds are improving but definitely stay on top of them and get expectations in writing if possible.

We did a lot of research before picking a pool contractor. We felt that since Atlas had been in business so long and appeared to be attentive to customers complaints, in all the reviews we could find, that we would not be making a mistake to select Atlas. In the end it was the right choice. The sales staff worked hard to adjust the design to accommodate our wishes and we are very happy with the design results especially considering we were on a budget like most. We did have issue with the superintendent who didn't seam to look at the subs work so we had to constantly point out issue with the trades finished work and get it corrected. In the end the work was completed to our almost satisfaction, we are disappointed with the finish in the pool. We have streaking that runs down the side of the swim out in the deep end and some inconsistent coloring in the bottom (We chose the grey harbor mini pearl I think it's called). We were told by the superintendent that this would fade away but almost a year later and it hasn't faded at all. I've heard the horror stories from friends who had pools installed that took several months to get completed. We were told 10 weeks by Atlas and they finished right on time, probably would have been a week ahead of schedule if our fence crew could have kept up. So end result, if you keep a good eye on the work you will get what you bargain for and we could not beat their pricing. If I was to build another pool I would not hesitate to call Atlas again, as a matter of fact we have recommended Atlas to all that have inquired about making a pool contractor selection. We hope this review helps you in making your pool contractor selection. 5-12-21 update, I thought it only fair to update the above with how our pool is performing a few years after installation. We have had no more issues and the pool looks like we wanted it to. I remember the sales team telling me we bought as close to a maintenance free pool as you could get at the time and those words are ringing true today. Since the long term of a pool is more important that the hassles you WILL go through with any pool builder I'll have to say, if I had it all to do over again I would chose Atlas again to build my pool.

We are so incredibly grateful we chose Atlas Pools of Central Florida to build our dream pool. After looking into a lot of different companies, we decided on Atlas—and we truly couldn’t be happier. From the very beginning, everything went so smoothly and faster than we ever expected. They broke ground in late September and had the whole project finished by early February. They built us a beautiful 18.5 by 36-foot saltwater pool with a panoramic double-story screen that looks out over our backyard. We also added two water bowls, a fountain, a big heated spa with a sun shelf, and bubblers with custom lighting that makes it all glow at night. The shell beach travertine deck turned out absolutely gorgeous and really pulled the whole backyard together. Austin, who is the owner’s son, helped us design everything and made sure every little detail was just right. He really cared and it showed. Art and Bryan, our project managers, kept things moving and stayed on top of everything. After the build, Mike made sure all the finishing touches were perfect. Bri, who takes care of our pool service, is always so professional and does such a great job. Cori handled all the billing and finances without a single issue, which we were so thankful for. The whole Atlas team worked great with the town inspectors and everything just felt easy and right. We are beyond thankful for everyone at Atlas Pools.
