Apex Pavers & Pools

We had such an exceptional experience with Apex Pavers! It was a large project, included a pool renovation and heater, removal of all of the old pavers, an extension of the existing patio with new stairways, and installation of beautiful travertine. Howard, our project manager, was so informative and accommodating when we were delayed almost a year! He was always available, and made sure that all of our questions and changes were fully taken care of. The installation team was the best, the pool and patio are perfect! I would highly recommend the whole team!

In 2025 I used Apex for a major paving, pool deck and pool plastering project. The job was fraught with issues, mainly because of poorly trained and non English speaking workers. Eventually the project was finished to my satisfaction and I paid them in full. The entire project cost around $65,000. I was issued a three year warranty on workmanship. Recently I noticed a discoloration with my main pool drain cover. After removing the screws, I could not get the cover loose in order to bring it to the surface for cleaning. It appeared to have been plastered in place. For several weeks, I asked to have it checked out but nobody came. Now, their vice president of operations has informed me that they have no intention of honoring the warranty, and they will not send anyone to inspect the drain cover. Neither she nor the owner will even agree to speak with me. I learned that Apex has filed for bankruptcy, so I assume this is the real reason they refuse to honor their warranty. I cannot recommend Apex Pavers and Pools to anyone for any type of project.

After significant due diligence, starting with 7 pool companies, we selected APEX. Howard was more than a sales person - he patiently partnered with us thru many iterations and sealed the deal when he had one of his more technical folks help us really compare, but on lay person terms, why their approach was best. They did our decking, walkway out back, and awesome pool with sun-shelf and champaign spa. Compared to work on some other properties in our new community, they take great care of the job site itself. While it is a quality product maybe most impressive is their responsiveness to any follow up questions or challenges. Such a pleasure.

*****Buyers Beware***** Whatever you do, do not do business with this company. They have filed bankruptcy and are going out of business. They have left dozens of people with unfinished pools after paying for them. These poor people cannot do anything about it. It is a complete loss to them. A simple Google search will verify this. They are doing everything they can to simply steal as much money as possible before the bankruptcy is finalized. They installed our pool here. I noticed some of the pavers around the pool were starting to sink. I contacted them to come and pour a little more sand underneath them to even them back out. Pretty simple request and easy enough job. They told me they were a little behind and it would take a couple weeks for them to get out. They never reached back out to me. I sent them several text asking them if they were able to get me on the schedule with no reply. I ended up just calling the office again and talking to somebody else to remind them about it. It was very clear from the start that they did not want to come out. The pool came with a warranty, of course, and this service was supposed to be free. They then called me and told me since I had just bought the home that they would not warranty the work. I read through the contract and it clearly states that it has a five-year warranty, regardless. Just like a car or anything else. It doesn’t matter who owns the car then. A three year 36,000 mile warranty is just that. They then sent me an estimate for $1000. I called another Paver company and they are coming out today to fix it for $100. It is very clear why they are going out of business. They do extremely bad business. If you call around and get quotes, you will notice that they are the most expensive anyway. Do not waste your time with doing business with this company. I would take them to small claims court, but there is nothing they will be able to do as they have filed bankruptcy. I would just be standing in line with everybody else that they have screwed.

Have to post a "shout 0ut" to David and Pepe! They did an incredible job. This was an "exterior" job that required them to go in/out of my home to get to the atrium ~ they had to come through my garage and down an interior hallway to get to it. They put down a tarp to protect my brand new floor and were very cautious as they carried in/out the pavers and their supplies as to not ding my walls. They were completely delightful and the step is exactly what we needed and it looks amazing!

Apex was much more expensive than local companies and we decided to go with them anyway. The project was so mismanaged and had to have their subcontractors replastert twice. I Will never recommend this company. No communication or information at all. No thank you. Update 10 months later and still not swimming, refilled pool 4 times and 3times had to replaster. Still not sure if it will have to be replastered again. Here is a picture from this morning, filled with missing cover and plaster with lines and dents. I have given up with this place if you use this company good luck. Upper management makes promises that they can’t keep. Apex watched 4 replasters and still let the contractor fill the pool. I have neighbors swimming 3 months after signing. Apex never again!!!!Still not swimming !!!!!! We are using the neighbors pool that was started 4 months ago.This place is so mismanaged that I am surprised that this management is still in place.Still not swimming!!! Wow, go with the other guys.Still not swimming 11 months later!!!! Update!!!! Still not swimming!! You come to your own conclusion. Good luck If anyone wants to see the incompetence please reach out.
