The best and the worst from each platform. Both, always.
We could not be happier with our new pool! From start to finish, Derrick and Ric did an absolutely amazing job. Their communication was always timely and professional, and they made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The quality of work is beautiful, and you can truly tell they use the best quality products. Most importantly, my kids are happy, my wife is happy, and I’m happy — we’re already making so many great memories in our backyard. If you’re looking for a company that delivers incredible craftsmanship, great communication, and outstanding customer service, I highly recommend Derrick and Ric!
When I spoke to Rick and Derrick about building a pool my situation was very different, as I needed a code variance. Rick took the time to help me get the variance, something no one else would have done. He spoke to the building inspector on several occasions to help clarify things and get us through the process. When we did receive the variance, he and Derrick came up with a great design and worked to complete the pool on a timely basis.Three years later they are still quick to help me with any of the minor issues I have had since. Really appreciate the job they did and the follow up that they have done since. Great job!
Creative Backyards exceeded our expectations and provided the highest standard of professionalism when building our custom luxury pool, and pool deck. The pool design and permitting process was seamless, and the pool construction remained on schedule. The construction team kept the area safe and clear during the excavation process. The management team did an excellent job making sure this was a turnkey operation from design, build, and ensuring our custom request, and details were met. Creative Backyards are licensed, insured, and honest in their pricing. We truly are grateful for their specialized services and highly recommend them.

Creative Backyards of south Miami: license CPC1458107 since 2011, real written pages for Cutler Bay, Homestead, Palmetto Bay and Pinecrest.
Creative Backyards builds pools out of south Miami, from an address on South West 108th Street Circle in Miami-Dade County. The domain has been theirs since February 2011 as well and the site was being archived by that June, so the license and the business started together fifteen years ago. Their site describes them as family owned and state certified; the certification is confirmed by the license, the ownership is not something a public register settles.
Five service lines: new pool construction, renovation, weekly service, spas and hot tubs, and outdoor living. Eleven finished projects are on show — a modest gallery but enough to see how they finish a deck and a waterline, which is what pictures are for. The site is about pools throughout, with no trace of another trade on it.
This is the part they do better than almost anyone else here. Besides the Miami base, they publish pages for four places — Cutler Bay, Homestead, Palmetto Bay and Pinecrest — and those pages are written for their own areas rather than one template with the town name swapped. That is rare on this list and it means something practical: when a company writes a real page about Homestead, it is usually because they work in Homestead. Those four towns plus south Miami-Dade are a well-supported range. One local number is published; no email address appears on the site, so the phone is the way in. The office is open seven days, 9am until 5pm.
Eleven people have reviewed them on Google and every one rated them five stars, which nominally sits 0.48 above the 4.52 Florida average. Eleven is a small count and the honest reading is that it cannot carry much weight either way — a perfect score across eleven reviews is not the same evidence as four and a half stars across two hundred, and should not be read as if it were. What it does say is consistent: seven of those reviewers name the crew's professionalism specifically, and nothing negative recurred at all. For a company licensed since 2011, eleven reviews also means most of its customers are not on that page, so ask for references from builds a few years old — that is the part the internet will not tell you.

Yes. Florida certified pool contractor license CPC1458107 is on record in the company's name and shows current, held since February 2011. That also confirms the state certified claim on their site. The license covers construction; insurance is separate and no register shows it, so ask for a certificate.
Perfect, on a small count. All eleven Google reviewers rated them five stars and seven name the crew's professionalism, with nothing negative recurring. Eleven reviews is too few to carry real weight — it is encouraging rather than conclusive. Since they have been licensed since 2011, most of their work is not represented there at all, so ask for older references.
South Miami-Dade, and they are specific about it: they publish pages for Cutler Bay, Homestead, Palmetto Bay and Pinecrest, and those pages are genuinely written about those places rather than being one page with the town name changed. That is unusual and it is a reasonable sign they actually work in all four.
New pool construction, renovation, weekly service, spas and hot tubs, and outdoor living. There are eleven finished projects on the site — a modest set, but enough to judge the finish on decking and waterlines.
Seven days a week, 9am until 5pm, on one published local number. No email address is published on their site, so the phone is the only route in.
