Custom Pools by Precision of Port Charlotte: Florida license CPC048230 held since 1989, the longest here, with 24 projects on show and eight reviews.
Custom Pools by Precision works out of Port Charlotte, from the Tamiami Trail in Charlotte County. Their Florida certified pool contractor license, CPC048230, has been on record since July 1989 and shows current — thirty-seven years, and the longest continuous license on this entire list. Nearly four decades of licensed building on the south-west coast, through every hurricane rebuild Charlotte County has had, is the fact that matters most here and it is worth more than the small pile of reviews below.
Seven service lines, the full spread: new pool construction, renovation, repairs, weekly service, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living. Twenty-four finished projects are on show, a proper gallery and the most useful thing on the site — with only eight reviews to go on, the pictures and a conversation carry the weight. No opening hours are published, so there is no telling when a call gets answered, and the one email address is on a free provider, which is ordinary for a long-established owner-run company that never took to marketing.
Port Charlotte is the base and the licensed address is on the Tamiami Trail there, in Charlotte County. They publish no pages for individual towns, so their range is a question to ask — Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Port and Charlotte County generally are the reasonable assumption, and after thirty-seven years they will know the county thoroughly. One local number is published.
Eight people have reviewed them on Google and the average sits at 4.5 — nominally 0.02 off the 4.52 Florida average, which is to say bang on it, though eight reviews cannot really support the comparison either way. No theme recurred often enough to report: nothing was praised by three separate customers and nothing complained about by two. So the striking thing about this profile is not the score but the absence of one — a company licensed continuously since 1989 arrives with eight reviews. That almost always means a business built entirely on referral that never asked anyone to post. It is not evidence of a problem, and it is not evidence of quality either. Judge them on thirty-seven years of continuous licensing, the twenty-four photographs, and references — and with a record this long, ask for one from a pool built in the 1990s and one from last year.

The best and the worst from each platform. Both, always.
A huge part of what makes a company exceptional is their customer service. Rich, the owner, and his office staff continue to show responsiveness every time I call. Rich is calm and very knowledgeable, always willing to troubleshoot and assist in the most immediate timeframe. Thank you Custom Pools! You will remain our go to for everything pool related. I met with the designer named ***JEN*** about 2 months ago to get a quote and never received even as much as a call back. From asking around, this seems to be common practice. Other people have stated they have had the same experience.
Custom Pools by Precision did a great job on our outdoor spaces! They installed our pool, lanai cage, and all of the pavers—both on the back lanai and the driveway. We’re very pleased with how everything turned out and the quality of the finished product really shows. The crews were professional and efficient, and the end result looks beautiful. Overall, we’re very happy with how it all came together and would recommend them for anyone looking to update their outdoor space.
Custom Pools by Precision is top-notch! Their customer service is outstanding, and Trena went above and beyond. It’s rare to find such exceptional service these days, but they delivered! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled pool company. Thank you, Trena, and the entire team at Custom Pools by Precision! 👏🏼🏊♂️✨

Answered from this record — not by the business.
Yes, and longer than anyone else here. Florida certified pool contractor license CPC048230 is on record in the company's name and shows current, held since July 1989 — thirty-seven years. The license covers construction; insurance is separate and no public register shows it, so ask for a certificate.
There are eight, averaging 4.5, which is nominally level with the 4.52 Florida average but too few to carry the comparison. No theme recurred in either direction. The interesting thing is the absence: thirty-seven years of licensed building and eight reviews usually means a referral business that never asked. Judge them on the license, the photographs and references instead.
The license dates from July 1989 — thirty-seven years, the longest continuous license on this list. Ask to see a pool they built in the 1990s alongside a recent one. How a finish and a shell hold up over decades is the one question only a company this old can answer.
New pool construction, renovation, repairs, weekly service, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living. Twenty-four finished projects are on the site, which is the main thing to judge them by given how few reviews there are.
One local phone number and one email address, the email on a free provider. No opening hours are published, so there is no telling when a call gets answered.
