We cannot say enough great things about our experience with Pools by Nolan Jacobs. Jeff Hurst, the owner, runs his business with full transparency and ALWAYS responds to every text and call within a short amount of time. Those two things were unbelievably important to us because of the horror stories we had heard from neighbors and other people’s experiences with different pool builders. We were so apprehensive about choosing a pool builder and signing a contract. Pools by Nolan Jacobs was recommended to us on one of the local Facebook pages, so we gave him a call. From our first meeting, we knew this was the right person and company. He explains his business plan and pool building process in detail and itemizes all the expenses so you know exactly what everything costs. The transparency was second to none. He also uses all of the same contractors for his builds and every one of them were wonderful. This pool build had been a dream of ours for a very long time and Pools by Nolan Jacobs helped us make that dream come true!! If you live in Lake County and you’re considering a pool build, we highly recommend you call Jeff!!!

Amazing pool company ran by great people that are honest and very organized. It was a very smooth and pain free process dealing with them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We had a wonderful experience with Nolan Jacob's Pools! Hesitant after our home building experience, Jeff put all of those apprehensions to rest. Jeff walked us through the entire build, step by step, and was present during the building process. His quote was spot on and through the entire process, he was constantly talking to us about how to save us money - how RARE is that! All in all, if we do any more work in Nolan Jacobs Pools field of expertise, we will be hiring them to do the work. It was the easiest building process I have gone through in the 25 years I have owned, renovated, repaired or built in the residential arena. Simply put, Nolan Jacob Pools gave me the best, top quality product at the best price! Thank you Jeff!

About Pools by Nolan Jacobs

Pools by Nolan Jacobs of Eustis: licensed since 2023, a clean 5.0 from only four reviews, praised for transparency — a very short record.

Who they are

Pools by Nolan Jacobs works from Seneca Reserve Drive in Eustis, Lake County. Their Florida contractor license, CPC1460339, was issued in September 2023 and is current — three years — and the domain was registered a fortnight later, so business and license begin together and the founding date is unambiguous. They make no marketing claims at all: no awards, no warranty headline, no ranking, nothing asserted that needed checking against the record. Note that the owner's name is not the company's name, so expect a different name on the paperwork than on the sign.

What they build

New pool construction, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living work. Four lines, with no renovation, repair or service line — they build pools and the space around them, and nothing else. They publish five project photographs, which is a start rather than a portfolio, and for a company this young that is the most worthwhile thing to ask them to expand on. Weekday hours, closed at weekends. Their website has not changed since August last year, so there is little current information on it.

Where they work

Eustis and Lake County. They publish no separate pages for individual towns, so there is no documented service area — Eustis, Mount Dora, Tavares, Leesburg and the surrounding county is the sensible reading, and anything further worth confirming by phone. They are one of only a handful of builders on this list covering the Lake County towns north of Orlando, which if you are there narrows the choice usefully. The most recent activity on their site shows last September, so confirm by phone that they are currently taking work.

What the record shows

A clean 5.0 on Google from four reviews. Four is close to the smallest sample on this list and we will treat it accordingly: no theme reaches our reporting floor, nothing can be called a pattern, and a perfect score from four customers tells you those four were happy and almost nothing else. Read the accounts rather than the number. Both of the detailed ones are about the same quality, and it is a specific one: transparency. The first says the owner runs the business with full transparency, and the second is the more useful, because of what the customer brought to it — they had come through a bad experience building their house, arrived apprehensive, and say those apprehensions were put to rest. Somebody who has already been let down by one contractor is a demanding customer and a good witness, and what reassured them was being dealt with straight. There is no complaint theme and no negative review of any kind. Everything else on this page is a caution, and none of it is about the work: three years of trading, four reviews, five photographs, no published warranty terms, and a website last touched a year ago. That is a company at the very beginning of having a record. If the location suits you, the sensible approach is to treat the conversation as the evidence — ask for the warranty in writing, ask for the addresses of every pool they have finished, which on this scale should be a short and answerable list, and go and look at them.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

What do the reviews actually say?

A clean 5.0 from four reviews — close to the smallest sample here. No theme reaches our reporting floor, so nothing can be called a pattern. Both detailed accounts praise the same specific thing: transparency. One customer arrived apprehensive after a bad house-building experience and says those worries were put to rest.

Is four reviews enough to go on?

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. It tells you four customers were happy and almost nothing else. With a company this young the conversation has to be the evidence rather than the record — ask for the addresses of every pool they have finished, which on this scale should be a short and answerable list.

How long have they been in business?

Three years. Their license, CPC1460339, was issued in September 2023 and the domain registered a fortnight later, so business and license begin together — the founding date is unambiguous, which is unusual on this list.

What do they not do?

Renovation, repairs and ongoing service are all absent — they build new pools, spas, water features and outdoor living space only. If your job is a remodel or a service contract, look elsewhere.

Are they still taking work?

Worth confirming. The most recent activity on their website was last September and it has not changed since August last year, so phone before assuming they are available. They keep weekday hours and are closed at weekends.
