We love our pool! Jerry and his team did an amazing job. Everyone on Jerry’s team was professional and respectful. We were very impressed. It took a bit of time from start to finish but there were no unrealistic expectations. Jerry communicated back with all of our messages in a timely matter and Jake walked us through the initial design and financing information. Both gentlemen were very accommodating. But the kudos goes to the entire team. A big thank you from our Labrador retriever, Cooper!

Overpriced pools and salesman did not have any interest sitting down and getting to know what we want. He was very short with us and ready to leave. Kura pool is way more professional to work with and more affordable. Most of my neighbors go with kura pool and they absolutely loved it!!

Advance Pool Design is a reputable company that provided excellent service. Jerry, Cindy and Jake provided extreme professionalism from the design to the installation of our pool and spa. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish and highly recommend this company. We use our pool and spa daily and love it! Our family and friends are enjoying this fabulous pool. You too should consider working with Advance Pool Design. They are the best! The Pettway Family

Jerry built a beautiful pool that met our family’s needs and we will enjoy for many years to come. I appreciate the personal attention we got and that our special requests were handled with no problems. Jerry is responsive and follows up with any questions or concerns I have, even well after the construction was complete. There was no pressure whatsoever to purchase or upgrade a feature that I didn’t need or want. If you want a high quality pool built by someone who will listen to your needs, Jerry is your guy.

About Advanced Pool Design

Advanced Pool Design of Groveland: Florida licensed since 2014, 4.6 on Google from 21 reviews, building pools, spas and screen enclosures near Orlando.

Who they are

Advanced Pool Design works out of Groveland in Lake County, west of Orlando, and has held Florida contractor license CPC1458541 since June 2014 — twelve years, with a website that has been running since the same period. They describe themselves as family-owned, which the public record does not settle either way.

What they build

New pool construction, spas, screen enclosures and outdoor living space. The enclosure work matters: it is a separate trade from the pool shell and having it in one company means one point of responsibility for the pool and the cage around it. Six separate customers name the quality of the workmanship and six the professionalism — an unusually even split, and both counts are high for a review base this size.

Where they work

Groveland is the licensed base, and they claim a great deal more than that. They publish separate pages for eighteen places across Lake and Orange counties — Clermont, Apopka, Winter Garden, Ocoee, Oakland, Mount Dora, Tavares, The Villages, Windermere, Minneola, Lady Lake and more. Read that carefully, though: almost all of those pages are the same page with the town name changed, and several are near-identical to each other. That is evidence of marketing reach rather than of a presence in each town. Groveland is where they are, the rest of Lake County is a reasonable assumption, and anything toward Orlando or up to The Villages is worth asking about directly rather than reading off a page.

What the record shows

Google has them at 4.6 from 21 reviews, just above the 4.52 average across Florida's builders. The most telling review is one that is not from a customer at all: someone who did not hire them writes that they were given advice, warnings and practical tips anyway, and says their next remodel or repair will go to Advanced. Free advice to someone who has not paid you is a decent proxy for how a company behaves generally. Against that, one customer describes them as overpriced and reports a salesman who was short with them and uninterested in understanding what they wanted before leaving. That is one account out of twenty-one, so it is a caution rather than a pattern, and it is about the sales conversation rather than the building — but it is the opposite experience to the one above, so which you get may depend on who turns up. Nothing on the complaint side was raised by two or more customers. If price is a concern, get more than one quote and ask them to walk you through what is included, because the one dissenting account is about value and about not being listened to, and both are things you can test in a first meeting.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Is Advanced Pool Design licensed?

Yes. Florida contractor license CPC1458541 has been current since June 2014 — twelve years.

What do the reviews actually say?

Google reads 4.6 from 21 reviews, just above the 4.52 Florida average. Six customers name the workmanship and six the professionalism. One reviewer who did not hire them praises the advice they were given anyway; one customer calls them overpriced and describes a salesman who did not listen.

Do they build screen enclosures?

Yes, alongside new pools, spas and outdoor living space. The enclosure is a separate trade from the pool itself, so having both in one company means one point of responsibility.

Are they expensive?

One customer says so plainly, and nobody else on record raises it — so treat it as one opinion rather than a pattern. Get more than one quote and ask them to itemise what is included, which is the only way to settle it for your own job.

Which areas do they cover?

They publish pages for eighteen places across Lake and Orange counties, but almost all of them are one template with the town name swapped — so treat the list as intent rather than proof. Groveland is the licensed base and the surrounding Lake County is the safe assumption; confirm anything further out by phone.

How long have they been going?

The license dates from June 2014 and their web presence from around the same time, so about twelve years — long enough to have a record, and it is a consistent one.
