Fantasy Pools turned our dream into reality. The process from the very beginning to the end was easy and they were very accommodating to last minute changes we wanted to make. Scott created a beautiful design for us and was so helpful when we were picking out design elements and upgrades. Josh made sure everything ran smoothly during the build phase. Raymond’s recommendation for placement of the electrical panel and equipment (and building a platform for the panel) was much appreciated. Christy was great at keeping us informed during the build. We now have an incredible outdoor oasis to enjoy and we could not recommend Fantasy Pools enough. if you are looking for the right company to build your pool, look no further than Fantasy Pools!

★★★☆☆ Yelp Jim M. · November 1, 2025

The pool was done excellent but 5 years later the screen enclosure hardware has rusted out and now has to be repaired by drilling through the framing into the concrete. Only 1 year warranty on insulation. Looks like very cheap hardware being used if rusting away within 5 years. Extremely disappointed

Words are definitely not enough to express on what this company did for me and my family. It started by a referral and met Scott, who designed our oasis. It only took one draft and we went with it! Joshua came out to meet us and take a look at our yard, and the following day the job started! This team by far has the best work ethic that I have ever seen. Joshua and Raymond answered any questions that I had and kept me updated on every step. We passed every inspection needed with a breeze! Clean, professional, proficient, and genuine team. Chris finished with teaching me on how to care for our new pool and took the time to sit with me while I took notes (I had to write them down) Fantasy Pools built our dream pool and now we will get to enjoy this with our kids, family, friends, and of course the doggies! Joshua, you and your team ROCK! 🙌 If you want a professional company/team to build your pool - this is my number one choice and I would do it again. - The Gluskins

Joshua Jones dba Fantasy Pools built a pool for us in 2007 which cost $47,785.00 including the screen enclosure. The concrete deck around the pool & the pool itself started cracking in half in 2010. We tried to work with Joshua until 2013 to make repairs but finally called in an engineer ourselves to try to determine how to fix the problem permanently; after which Joshua Jones never came back. The repairs are more than $12,000.00 that we are out of pocket ourselves. When we tried to sue for costs, his insurance company stepped in to drive up our legal fees to $45,000.00 and no end in sight before we caved in & took a settlement of $35,000.00 to cut our losses. I would never call this company (also known as New Image Concrete Construction, Inc.) for any project no matter how big or small.

Last year my family and I started the process of looking for a pool contractor, the employees at Fantasy Pools were up front that they wanted our business but that construction would be a year out due to current workload, but that when they started construction they would work through completion (a big item for me as I have a two young children). Two weeks to the day of the estimate start date, the team arrived and started work, the original estimate for completion was provided at 12-16 weeks, the pool was completed by week 5, the enclosure went up week 6, the child safety fence and final inspection week 7. We love the pool, the team at fantasy pools was excellent answering all our questions, one individual even providing me his personal cell phone for specific pool maintenance questions after hours.

Money gone$$$ :-( In 2013 I had the owner Josh come to my property for an estimate on a concrete pad I needed poured. He gladly accepted the job and we agreed to a $5k final price with $2500 due upfront to "even get equipment out here". I hired him and paid him the requested $2500 up front. He and his crew showed up for ONE day. They dug a wrong footer, shoddily framed out for the concrete pad and spread some rock out that I had hauled in. He never came back. Dozens of phone calls with no response. 2 months later, all of his work has been undone due to weather, and he picks up the phone! He says, " I'm in the Bahamas now. I'll call you in two weeks when I get back". He never answered my calls again. After saving up funds again I hired a competent contractor to come do the work. The previous work required to be redone correctly.

Quick Quote

About Fantasy Pools

Fantasy Pools of Cocoa: Florida license CPC1456844 since 2004, strong praise for workmanship, and two older customer accounts of abandoned jobs. Verified.

Who they are

Fantasy Pools works out of Cocoa, from Cox Road in Brevard County on the Space Coast. Their Florida certified pool contractor license, CPC1456844, has been on record since August 2004 and shows current — twenty-two years, which is a long run in this trade. The domain has been theirs since March 2014. They describe the company as family owned and family run, neither of which any public register settles either way.

What they build

Six service lines: new pool construction, renovation, weekly service, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living. Eighteen finished projects are on show, which is a decent gallery and enough to judge the standard of finish before calling. No opening hours are published anywhere on the site, so there is no telling when a call will be answered — worth knowing before you try.

Where they work

Cocoa is the base and the licensed address is on Cox Road there, in Brevard County. They publish no pages for individual towns, so their range is a question to ask rather than something the site states — Cocoa, Merritt Island, Rockledge and the Space Coast generally are the reasonable assumption. One local number and one email address are published.

What the record shows

Two things need separating here. The first is what customers say, and most of it is good: nine reviewers name the crew's professionalism, eight the workmanship and four the communication — a strong, consistent pattern of people pleased with their pools. The second is a real caution. Two separate customers describe being abandoned mid-job: crews that stopped coming, dozens of unanswered calls, and in one case more than twelve thousand dollars of repairs paid out of pocket. Two reviewers is enough to name a pattern rather than a bad day. What sizes it is the dates: both accounts were posted in 2018 and describe work from 2007 and 2013, so they are eight-year-old reports about jobs up to nineteen years old — a long way from evidence about the company as it operates now. Their published figures are 4.5 out of five from 40 Google reviews and 3.9 from 9 on Yelp — 4.39 across 49 reviews together, against a 4.52 Florida average. That is essentially level with the state, and the two platforms disagreeing by six tenths is worth a look on its own: the Google side is where almost all the volume and almost all the recent work sits. Read the low-star reviews yourself, ask for two references from the last twelve months, and get the payment schedule tied to completed stages.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Is Fantasy Pools licensed?

Yes. Florida certified pool contractor license CPC1456844 is on record in the company's name and shows current, held since August 2004 — twenty-two years. The license covers construction; insurance is separate and no public register shows it, so ask for a certificate before work starts.

What are the complaints about?

Abandonment. Two separate customers describe the same thing: work stopping part-way, calls going unanswered, and one of them more than twelve thousand dollars out of pocket to have the job put right. Two reviewers raising the same issue is a pattern and it should not be waved away. The important qualifier is timing — both were posted in 2018 about work carried out in 2007 and 2013. They are old accounts, not a current picture, but they are the reason to tie payments to completed stages and to ask for recent references.

How good are their reviews, really?

Good, and now on a fuller record. Nine reviewers name the crew's professionalism, eight the workmanship and four the communication, which is a consistent positive pattern. The published figures are 4.5 from 40 reviews on Google and 3.9 from 9 on Yelp — 4.39 across 49, near enough level with the 4.52 Florida average. The reviews themselves still matter more than the number: read the good and the bad.

What do they build, and can I see examples?

New pool construction, renovation, weekly service, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living. There are eighteen finished projects on the site, which is enough to judge the finish on decking and waterlines before you call.

When can I reach them?

They publish no opening hours at all, so there is no telling. One local phone number and one email address are on the site.
