We had Mid Florida Pools install our pool. Rodney ran the job and was excellant communicating status at every level. We made a few changes during the installation and they accommondated all of them with no problems. I would highly recommend them to install a pool. /ray

★☆☆☆☆ Google · August 18, 2026

I do not recommend Mid Florida Pools. Both Pat and Rodney came out to look at our backyard and quote the project. We already had one quote, but really felt excited about suggestions they made and had a great feeling about them. My husband called a couple of weeks later and asked if the quote was ready. Pat said he was behind and would find the quote and call us back. Never heard from them.

Being not only born and raised in Orlando, Florida but also working as a Recruiter for companies that need help filling several logistics and construction roles.. I can hands down say that the team working for Midland Pools are some of the most knowledgeable, hardworking teams I have ever seen in construction. They are honest, professional, caring and their attention to detail is the icing on the cake. This family business is top notch and I would highly recommend hiring them for that picture perfect summer life you've been dreaming about.

About Mid Florida Pools Inc

Who they are

Mid-Florida Pools has held Florida contractor license CPC023578 since 30 June 1982, and it has been current ever since — forty-four years on the state's books with nothing standing against it. Their own site puts the company's start two decades earlier, in 1962, and tells a story about the owner being appointed to the state's Construction Industry Licensing Board. Neither of those is something Florida publishes, so read them as the company's own account rather than as record. The license is the checkable part, and it is clean. Set against all that certification, the review record is small and pulls in two directions at once: two five-star accounts on Yelp against one one-star account on Google.

What they build

New pool construction, renovation work, spas and hot tubs, and commercial pools — a four-line list, on a site that has not grown in a long time. Twelve finished projects sit in the gallery, uploaded in 2017. The pages themselves were last edited in July 2025, and the services page has not been touched since August 2017. A quiet website is not a quiet company. Somebody is still answering that phone and still getting reviewed on it. What it does mean is that the work you can look at is nine years old, so ask them for photographs of something they finished this year before you judge the standard.

Where they work

Orlando, and the geography holds together better than most on this directory. The licensed address, the Google pin at 2707 S Crystal Lake Dr in 32806, and a 407 telephone number all land in the same city. What they do not publish is a service map: no pages for the surrounding towns, no county list, nothing that says how far out they will drive. Take Orange County as the working assumption and settle your own address on the first call. The address on the license is a PO box, which is ordinary for a contractor this size — the street address on the pin is the yard.

They open at 8:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and close at five, then keep Saturday from nine until four. Thursday and Sunday they are shut. If you both work weekdays, the Saturday opening is the useful one. Their entrance and their parking are wheelchair accessible.

What the record shows

License CPC023578 is the number Florida publishes for this company and its status is current. The domain goes back to 2017, the site was first archived in 2018, and the most recent dated sign of the company trading is a Google review left on 18 August 2026.

Their public reputation runs three reviews across two platforms — a combined 3.67, against the 4.52 average across the 346 Florida builders on this directory. That combined number is worth less than the two accounts behind it, because three reviews is not a sample big enough to read as a pattern in either direction. On Yelp, two separate five-star reviews describe an installation run well — clear communication throughout, changes accommodated without friction — and one names the team's professionalism and attention to detail specifically. On Google, one customer gives one star: two of the company's people came out, looked at the backyard and made suggestions the family liked, then never sent the promised quote and never returned the follow-up call. Notably, the same staff member singled out for praise on Yelp for running an installation well is one of the two named in the Google complaint about a quote that never arrived — which reads less like two different companies' worth of service and more like a business that follows through once a job is signed but is inconsistent about following up before it is.

Read the Google account as a specific warning rather than a general one: what went wrong there was administrative — an estimate that never arrived — and it says nothing against the pools themselves, which is exactly what the Yelp accounts speak to. Pin them to a date for the written estimate, and chase it the day it slips.

Questions homeowners ask

Answered from this record — not by the business.

Are Mid-Florida Pools licensed in Florida?

Yes. Florida contractor license CPC023578 has been in the company's name since 30 June 1982 and its status is current.

Why does their rating vary so much by platform?

Because each platform is one or two people. Yelp shows two five-star reviews describing a well-run installation with good communication. Google shows one one-star review describing two of their staff visiting, making suggestions the customer liked, then never sending the promised quote or returning the call. Three reviews combined average 3.67, well under the 4.52 Florida average on this directory — but three is too small a sample to read as a pattern either way. Both accounts are worth reading; neither is the whole picture.

What should I ask them about?

Two things. Get a date for the written estimate and hold them to it, since that is the one failure anybody has put on record. Then ask for photographs of a pool they finished this year — the twelve projects in their gallery went up in 2017.

Where do Mid-Florida Pools work?

Out of Orlando. Their licensed address, their Google listing at 2707 S Crystal Lake Dr and their 407 telephone number all sit in the city, so Orange County is the sensible assumption. They publish no service-area pages, which means you should confirm your own address when you call.

When are they open?

8:30 to five on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and nine to four on Saturday. They are closed Thursday and Sunday. The entrance and the parking are wheelchair accessible.
