I can honestly say that we are very pleased with the quality of the work performed by Manuel Izquierdo (Owner) and his team. Our pool came out beautiful and we are enjoying it every day. Manuel was up front with the timeline and price. He said it would take between 8 and 12 weeks and it was finished in 11 weeks and with 2 very bad storms in between. Something got done every week just like he said and the price I paid was exactly what he quoted. If there were any extra charges it was for additional work I requested during the construction. He was very pleasant and understanding with our lack of knowledge and explained in detail any questions or concerns we had. We had many meetings before the project began and he came out to inspect the work after each phase was completed. He has a gentleman named Edwin who handles the maintenance of the pool who is a great person who makes sure that our pool is well maintained and looking amazing. He is an asset to any company. I certainly understand some of the bad experiences that are written about Bluscape Pools and how frustrating that can be. Manuel was very up front with me on what had happened with a previous sales person/designer who unfortunately made his company look bad. He just asked me to give him a chance to prove that he could build us a beautiful pool and we did. We could not have asked for a better pool builder and person to deal with. Thanks Manuel for making our backyard look amazing!

I had been in the process of a gathering project quotes and information on a complete pool renovation project that included: pool resurface, tiling, stone paving, plumbing, new heater and cleaning systems for several months. Bluescape Pools & Spas came to us recommended by another source and we are so grateful that we were! Thier quote was clear, concise, and the pricing was fair. All services to be performed were clearly explained and knew the cost of the project was well worth it. Our first encounter was with Manuel, who truly handled our renovation from start to finish as an amazing project manager. There were absolutely no gaps in communication and kept us informed of the project progress at least once a week and did routine on-site visits as the team progressed through the different stages of the renovation. Our project was expected to be completed within 4 weeks and despite the rainy season weather between June and July, we were impressed that they were done on time! We are so happy with our new outdoor patio and pool escape. I highly recommend them and definitely say do the pebble glass finish for the surfacing of your pool! Thank you to all on the team.

I was recommended to go with Bluescape pools via facebook community page recommendations and was very satisfied. When I contacted Bluescape, Joe came out within a day to evaluate the backyard and asked for what design we wanted, a few days later he contacted us back as he said he would with the design, price, and contract. Everything we asked for in the design was presented and the price was within the budget we told him we needed to be at. The pool construction was completed on time, my point of contact Andrea was helpful and very professional throughout the entire process. My wife and I are very pleased and excited to enjoy our beautiful new pool and would recommend bluescape pools & spa to many others.

We had a pool started in early 2023 by another contractor, who ended up filing bankrupcty and leaving us with a half finished project. We contacted Bluescape and Manuel was able to give us a detailed quote of what we still needed to finish the project and came to our house and met with us and made us feel so comfortable from the start. Obviously, we were burned before, so we had our walls up, but Bluescape provided on every promise and in 6 weeks our pool and enclosure was complete!!! We are beyond relieved and grateful and would recommend this company to everyone!

Many many many red flags with this company! 1. I'll start with the first red flag. They will try to bribe you for a good review. My wife got a call once and was offered a discount in service in exchange for a good review. If you have to bribe your customers to get some positive feedback that says alot about your company and quality of service. Who knows how many of these reviews are fake in exchange to save a few bucks... 2. We originally canceled our service due to lack of service in December. We paid for a full month of service which is supposed to be every week. The only came out once that month. We were told according to the records they came out twice. The other two times they were off due to the holidays. But here's the thing, both my wife and I were home all day everyday during the holidays in which they should have serviced. My workstation is right next to the sliding glass door that leads out to the pool I would have seen someone in our pool area. That door was also open all day and my dog would have reacted to someone being out back. On top of all that we also have three outdoor cameras which would have picked up someone on our property not a single one did. My wife had already left a review regarding the specific incident and they responded with the record show they had come out. This simply means somebody lied on the records because we have proof that they didn't. And if you are intentionally expecting not to give that full month of service you shouldn't charge for a full month. It's that simple. 3. Upon canceling our service in January we were promised we would get a refund since they had not yet come out for that month. We agreed and left it at that. It is now mid-march and I have not seen hide or hair of that check that was promised or any type of refund. They will steal from you and lie to you. And they're not smart about it because it will be in writing. This company is unprofessional, dishonest, and thieves. If for some bizarre reason you decide to give them a chance or you are already a customer and are having issues make sure to get everything in writing don't ever deal with them over the phone or if you do record it.

My wife and I will allow more pictures to be what speaks volumes about their workmanship and their ethics. The contract was signed in June and these pictures were taken in Dec. If you enjoy constantly calling /texting them to do the work with endless excuses and when they do something, well look at the pictures…. See for yourself. Nothing they did was quality. One excuse and mess up after the other. We will be reporting them to the DPBR and hope to warn any other unsuspecting consumers. Their response to these reviews are more lies and ridiculous. They like to blame the homeowners for everything that happens. Look back further at reviews. Please look up licensing and take a look at pictures if you question this review. Best decision we made was to hire an attorney so we could legally get a pool contractor who did professional work. These pictures time stamped in Dec. They will say this doesn’t represent their work, guess what, it is exactly their mess. We have a lot more pictures of a pool that looked like a dump 8 months later so their responses are comical. Even my neighbors were thrilled to know we got rid of them. These pictures are of the pool, a water feature and tile work. I guess if you can give them enough years to finish a job, or redo garbage work, you may get a DIY looking pool. Hope you enjoy badgering them to get quality. Take a look at the pictures, we couldn’t get them to do quality anything. They said tile done, water feature done…. They were a nightmare contractor. Yeah, beautiful work! Pictures don’t lie but people trying to get you to sign contracts where you pay 💯 up front. Red flag!!! Thankfully their mess was fixed by someone else.

Company Snapshot

Bluescape Pools & Spas is based in Kissimmee, off John Young Parkway. The company holds Florida license CPC1458511, a Certified Pool/Spa Contractor credential confirmed current with the state, under qualifier Manuel A. Izquierdo and on file since 2014 — twelve years on the state's contractor rolls.

Specialties & Service Area

New pool construction in the $60,000-$110,000 range makes up most of the recent permit activity, centered in Lake Nona South with smaller counts in College Park, East Park, and a long tail of single-permit neighborhoods including Orwin Manor, Randal Park, and Spring Lake. Forty-two permits total carry this license, with six currently open and one filed already in early 2026 at $75,600.

Licensing & Track Record

Twelve permits have reached a final county disposition against the six currently open, and the underlying license is active and verified with the state without a lapse across its twelve-year history.

What Customers Say

At 4.6 stars from 234 Google reviews, the owner — Manuel — is named directly and often, credited with hands-on project management, accurate up-front timelines, and in at least one case, taking over a project a prior contractor had abandoned mid-build after filing bankruptcy, delivering the finished pool in six weeks. That's only part of the picture, though: a substantial cluster of detailed 1-star reviews describes projects stretching seven months or more past the original estimate, demands for full payment before work was finished, and photographed complaints about uneven tile and paver installation that reviewers say went unresolved short of hiring an attorney or a second company to redo the work.

Bottom Line

There's real evidence of responsive, even generous service on some jobs here, including a documented rescue of a stalled build left behind by another company. Whether that experience is typical is the open question the negative reviews raise, so a written, milestone-based payment schedule is worth insisting on regardless of which pattern shows up first on a given project.
