Atlantis Pool Service

My wife and I had been considering having our pool resurfaced for a couple of years. In Jan ’24 we got quotes from several pool contractors. Al was the second person to come see the pool, but I had an intuitive feeling that we would be hiring Atlantis because the composition of our conversation made me comfortable (trust). When it was time to compare quotes and balance cost (second lowest) with outcomes based on reviews Atlantis was the clear winner - you will have to ask Al about the backstory on the current low number. I had a high degree of confidence that the Atlantis crew would take care of our needs and they did not disappoint. The only hiccup we faced was during the demolition of the original plaster because it was clear that there was a hollow space behind the old plaster. I had difficulty understanding (language barrier) what the crew member was trying to explain, but Al called within a few minutes to give me the full explanation. It was recommended to demolish the old plaster which added cost, but we wanted to be sure it was done right for the health and longevity of the new pool. During the course of our project Al communicated routinely for any plans of what would be taking place for each stage, and was VERY attentive to any questions or concerns, even ones that came at odd hours. Al and his crew only earned about a $1 for each question that I felt necessary to ask, and as a semi-avid DIYer and software engineer by trade I had a great deal of questions. He encouraged me to reach out at any time with questions, and didn’t hesitate to help. Once the project was completed and we entered into the post care phase, his crew even took care of a pre-existing skimmer leak, and his guidance helped me solve some challenges with getting our pool cleaner operating again. I’ve included before and after photo collages to compare the defects in the old pool against the beauty offered by the new one. There is also a video/slideshow showing the metamorphosis throughout the different stages of demolition, tile installation, light and coping installation, plaster application, and final pool fill after the acid wash. We already hired them to do a second job of re-plumbing the suction side to replace some old Jandy valves where my DIY skills were not up to snuff, and we have a third on the horizon to put in a new pool filter because our current one is discontinued and needs to be replaced (completed 2024-07-09 and photo uploaded). If you are looking for quality pool service, then no need to look any further than Atlantis!!

Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve ever had when it comes to hiring out any type of work!! I first called Al in 2022 when we were thinking about remodeling our pool and patio. He was one of about 5 or 6 companies we had come out. I liked Al from the moment I opened the door. Al and his team are extremely knowledgeable and capable to say the least. I really put a lot of emphasis on my rapport with people that I’m potentially going to hire for whatever the job, but especially a job of this magnitude and this many moving parts. I reached back out to Al and just 2 days later the contract was signed. Al said weather permitting, we were looking at maybe 3 weeks or so start to finish. Pretty ambitious I thought to myself. There was a fountain feature remodel, main drain and skimmer replacement, and various other items to be completed in addition to plaster and pavers. Now I’ve heard many stories when it comes to pool remodeling and gotten lots of advice from various people. Almost always I’ve been told, you just have to stay on top of the work and sometimes chase behind people quite often to complete the job because of all those moving parts I mentioned earlier. Those people obviously didn’t choose Al and Atlantis Pools to remodel their pool. Contract was signed 7/23 and pool and patio remodel was completed on 8/10. 3 weeks of 100% smooth sailing at each and every turn. Al and his teams were top notch top to bottom and we couldn’t be happier. Remodeling a pool is an intense project. They’re so many moving parts and several important decisions to be made. Al was never more than a text or call away and was hands on at every single step of the process. He made numerous trips out to our house and sent pictures daily of that days completed work. He was informative every single day notifying me of who was coming over and what was going to go on each day. Thank you so much to Al, Jose, and everyone who had a hand in this process. You guys really made it easy for us and the results are stunning!!!!

I have nothing but great things to say about Atlantis Pools, specifically the owner Al. He is very competitive with pricing for the resurface, and very up front with "worst case scenarios" my pool was in really bad shape and It came out great like new... We had some hiccups after the fact with my pump, (its old) and he was able to get someone out within a day to fix the plumbing, although this was a unexpected expense, i was very impressed that Al just wanted to help me and did not use any sales tactics with me. He is honest. I have good relationships with commercial pool vendors, and cross checked everything with them just to have a second opinion and everything Al said checked out. I would just say to anyone reading this, if you are going to resurface your pool make sure all your components are good because you want your pool to function the best after a resurface so that it lasts you a long time. Another thing I liked about Atlantis is that when Al gave me a date he stuck with it, and the day we had a weather delay he told me good amount in advance to just be safe. I really like that I didnt have to check in on him and he checked in with me. Of course, I know that when people write reviews they are either going to write the best review or the worst.. Although I did not have a bad experience, if I did, I would think Al would try to make it right. I know this because I have a few questions and a concern after my pool was complete and after i paid my final bill, and instead of ghosting me, he reassured me and of course continued to help me... He even got on facetime with me to trouble shoot something on my motor in the middle of his weekend. I thought that was really nice. I would 110% use him again (although I hope I dont have to anytime soon since they did a great job!) :)

Exceptional Work and Even Better Service! We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Atlantis Pools! They completely transformed our pool — resurfacing it with gorgeous glass tiles, upgrading our filter and heater, and refreshing our pool deck — and the results are absolutely stunning. The attention to detail on the tile installation is incredible — every piece lines up perfectly and sparkles beautifully in the sunlight. I honestly will never use anyone else for pool work. They truly do it all — and they do it right. I can’t recommend them highly enough to anyone needing any kind of pool renovation, repair, or maintenance. We actually found them through my brother — they did his pool first, and it looked so amazing I knew I had to have them for mine. Best decision ever!
