The best and the worst from each platform. Both, always.
We had an issue with our in-floor pool cleaning system not working properly, and even though the pool was built 4 years ago, Curtis Pools came back out and fixed it completely at no charge. That level of customer service and standing behind their work is rare these days. They were responsive, professional, and took care of the problem without any hassle. It says a lot about a company when they continue to support their customers years after the project is finished. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a pool company that truly stands behind what they build.
Do not use Curtis Pools for your new pool construction. Does not honor warranty. New pool build finished in Sept. 2021 included a 2 year Pentair warranty. Pool pump was flooded in hurricane which resulted in it no longer working. Curtis Pool advised me that Pentair would not cover replacement because of "act of God." Asked why they, with their years of experience, did not elevate the equipment during the install on a waterfront home. Jeff, the salesperson, replied "that's a great idea." They do not consider this to be covered under their "workmanship warranty" either and, if I wanted them to do the repair, it is a 2.5 month wait. Needless to say, I do not recommend using Curtis Pool.
Curtis built our pool six years ago. Great experience, excellent service and quality product. Curtis earned a 5-star Google review from us at the time. We since learned, that under new ownership (Nov 2024), Curtis now provides service, remodeling and equipment placement. After some initial communication breakdowns, owner Eric Floyd, contacted us and personally directed replacement and raising our hurricane damaged heat pump. Communications were prompt and commitments were met. Curtis charged us a fair price compared to other supplier quotes. We recommend this long term provider that still demonstrates a commitment to customer satisfaction.
20+ yrs ago, they built my inground spa. It is really nice, but now it needs to be upgraded and rejuvenated. I called, because after 3 weeks, they didn't respond to my email. They said they are only taking new build customers and have no time for loyal customers that have already had an installation that want service. Very sad.
Our home warranty company sent Jim from Curtis Pools to look at our hot tub pump as the previously scheduled company could not bother to show up nor get in touch to reschedule. So glad they didn’t show up! Jim called and showed up as promised. He very quickly assessed the problem with the hot tub pump and said it would be dealt with as soon as he received approval from the Home Warranty company. He was also kind enough to take a look at our pool heater/heat pump which last year we had been told required an $800 repair. Jim levelled it and the awful noise stopped. Amazing!! Thanks so much, Jim. We would not hesitate to recommend you!
