The best and the worst from each platform. Both, always.
Fantastic experience with Intercoastal! We wanted to remodel our old 1960s pool by resurfacing, adding new pavers, new tile, and adding an adjoining spa. Most pool companies I called were unwilling to quote for a spa addition, but Intercoastal was excited for the project. The design team was so helpful in selecting colors/tiles to work with our house and backyard. The construction team was punctual and consistent with our schedule. Intercoastal communicated with us every step of the way and were quick to address questions. No surprise costs, either—we came in exactly on budget and are thrilled with the results!! They took care of us like family. :)
Unprofessional company, I will say the estimate came back quick, but was nothing we discussed over the phone, I have 2 friends that had used intercoastal, one about 2 years ago, the other currently being built....they seemed to give better pricing to both of these individuals but wanted to overcharge me on my estimate....smaller pool, simpler pool, yet priced higher than another pool that 100sqft bigger.....makes no sense, and basically was told to find another company then.....hacks looking to take advantage of customers is the vibe I'm catching here
Intercoastal Pools built our family's pool over five years ago and we still love it. What's even better about Intercoastal is their service. Today, I would like to recognize one of their associates Leslie. Leslie has helped over the last few years troubleshoot issues, walk me through solutions, send help and just overall provide an amazing customer service experience. I recently found out that she is retiring (tomorrow) and wanted to send a shoutout to her and Intercoastal for hiring outstanding associates. You can tell this is a family business and no wonder why they have been around so long serving the community. Congratulations to you Leslie I hope you enjoy retirement!
I would not recommend using this pool company. They installed our pool in the summer of 2021, and we have experienced multiple issues since then. The first major problem involved the screened enclosure roof. We had the company come out three to four times to fix ongoing leaks, but the issue was never resolved. Eventually, we hired a different pool company, who informed us the roof had been installed improperly. We had to pay $4,000 to have a new roof installed correctly. The second issue occurred this year when our pool began leaking. We discovered that a pipe had been run underneath the concrete but was never properly capped—only covered with duct tape. The was a pipe for an autofill feature, that we never had. This repair cost us $2,500. In addition, we’ve had repeated problems with the salt system, which now needs to be replaced, as well as multiple service calls for heater issues. I have reached out to the company several times requesting compensation for the poor workmanship. I provided receipts for all the repairs we’ve had to cover due to improper installation. The only response I received was a check for $575, which barely covered the cost of diagnosing the leak. Since then, I have sent additional emails and made phone calls, but none have been returned.
We couldn't be happier with our new pool built by Intercoastal Pool and Spa! From the initial design with Rob to the finished product, the experience was exceptional. And as promised, they got us swimming in our new pool by Christmas! Wendy, Mike T. and George and the entire crew were incredibly professional, keeping us informed every step of the way and handling all issues promptly. The quality of the tile, deck, and our beautiful mosaics by Melissa is outstanding, and we love our new backyard oasis. We highly recommend Intercoastal Pool and Spa for their excellent communication, beautiful work, and fantastic customer service!
After spending over 185k for our pool and patio build. I find myself chasing this company to get the job done. Additionally we are dealing with many imperfections in this pool and patio build. There is zero quality control here and zero post game review of any kind with Intercoastal pools. They are fully paid and I have an unfinished project with excessive material damage and incredibly poor workmanship. I have been after them since mid July to get the job done and I now find myself chasing them to even get the basic things done resolved. This is not the whole story. I have defective craftsmanship and defective products that were applied to the build and now the situation just got even worse. I wish I didn't have to write this. No one wants to spend this kind of money and leave this type of review.

Intercoastal Pool & Spa of Melbourne: what they build, the thirteen coastal towns they cover, and what their record really shows. FloridaPoolz.
Intercoastal Pool & Spa Builder works the Brevard and Indian River coast from Melbourne. Florida pool contractor license CPC055620 has been current since March 1992 — thirty-four unbroken years, which is the longest run on most of this directory and the single most solid fact about them. They also hold a Top 50 Builder recognition that is published and dated, unlike the "best pool company" language elsewhere on their site, which nobody can check.
New pool construction, renovation, repair and servicing, spas, water features, screen enclosures and outdoor living work, with commercial pools alongside residential. They publish pages written for thirteen towns — Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Indialantic, Indian Harbour Beach, Melbourne, Melbourne Beach, Micco, Palm Bay, Rockledge, Satellite Beach, Sebastian, Titusville and Vero Beach — which is a serious commitment to one stretch of coast rather than a statewide claim.
4.0 from 134 Google reviews, against a Florida pool builder average of 4.52. That is half a point below the field, and 134 reviews is more than enough for the number to mean something — this is a pattern rather than a bad month. Five customers praised professionalism independently and four the build quality, so the positive accounts are real and consistent. The score says a meaningful minority had a materially worse experience than those five did.
No single complaint theme was raised by two or more customers, so there is no one fault to point at — the below-average score comes from spread rather than a repeated failure. That makes reading the one and two star reviews directly more useful here than usual, because the pattern is not in the summary. Ask who runs your build day to day, what happens when a subcontractor slips, and for two recent customers in your own town you can call. Thirty-four years of licensing means they have finished a great many pools; ask to see the recent ones.

Yes. Florida pool contractor license CPC055620 has been current since March 1992 — thirty-four unbroken years — and is current on the state register today.
It sits about half a point below the Florida pool builder average of 4.52, on 134 reviews. That is a large enough sample that the score reflects a real pattern rather than a run of bad luck, so read the critical reviews rather than only the number.
They publish pages for thirteen towns along the Brevard and Indian River coast, from Titusville down to Vero Beach, including Melbourne, Palm Bay, Rockledge and the beachside communities.
No. No complaint theme was raised by two or more customers, which means the below-average score comes from varied experiences rather than a single recurring fault.
They publish a Top 50 Builder recognition, which is dated and specific enough to check — unlike the "best pool company" language elsewhere on their site.
