Origin Building Group (OBG) is the absolute best for Pool & Patio Installation. Looking to transform your yard? Manny and his entire team will make it a smooth process for anyone. Excellent communication, straight-forward billing with no deviations from our contract. Very drama-free experience. OBG gladly accepts the challenges of working with Coral Gables which has an unbearably long permit process but once we got permit the work began and finished timely. Special thanks to Luis for taking the time to inform us where we were in the process, manage the schedule, then explain pool equipment basics + functions to us. We had to bury our electrical cables and OBG made it happen. Our yard required a block wall, picket and chain link fencing for safety, and OBG handled all this too. We opted to add a spa and OBG built it with a smile. Thanks OBG for making our dream pool & backyard a reality!
If you are looking for excellent craftsmanship, communication as to each step of the job and rapid resolution to any problems that may arise Origin Building Group is the company for you! My job was rather simple. New coping, tile and resurfacing of the swimming pool. But it was handled with the upmost of care. Once I signed my contract Manny told me where to go to choose the coping and gave me a website for the tile. He told me the tile and coping would be received in a week. Believe it or not exactly one week later he contacted me and told me tile had arrived but no coping yet. When was the last time a contractor updated you within the promised time frame? Two days later a young man by the name of Luis came and introduced himself as the person who was going to oversee the job. I do not know Luis' title, but I will call him the supervisor. He was a gem to work with! I told him about a stain on the wall that I thought was a piece of metal breaking through. Luis was attentive and made me feel at ease. Luis just like Manny kept me advised of the next step in the process. In came the crew to do the demolition and install the new coping and tile. Three days later coping and tile installed. Luis got a plumber to fix main drain; a problem not initially budgeted for. In one week, pool was drained, demolition of coping and tile and new coping and tile installed! Next came the plastering of the pool. It was done in one day. Once plaster was complete, they filled the pool with water. This is where I became concerned! The pool had yellow stains! I called Manny and Luis in a panic. I thought, I have made my final payment they are not going to help me. Wrong! Luis came over along with Emilio from the pool company. Luis kept talking to me to calm me down. Both Luis and Emilio brushed the entire pool multiple times. Manny texted me to let me know he was in communication with his team throughout the day and for me to know they were working to resolve the issue. I was truly amazed! The customer service, the willingness to resolve any issues that arose. No other company I have ever done business with has ever responded in this manner. Way to go Origin!
We worked with Origin Building Group on our pool, deck, and outdoor BBQ area, and overall had a very positive experience. Like many others have mentioned, the quality of the finished product is what really stands out. We’re extremely happy with how everything turned out — the space looks great and functions exactly how we envisioned. The project did take longer than initially expected, but based on our experience (and what others have noted), a lot of that comes down to permitting and city approvals rather than the contractor itself. That seems to be a common challenge with these types of projects. Manuel, the owner, was responsive and stayed involved throughout the process. When issues or mistakes came up — which is pretty normal in construction — he addressed them and worked toward a resolution. He was also reasonable and flexible when it came to change orders, which we appreciated.

The Origin Building Group of Miami: license CPC1458417 since 2013, 4.9 on Google from 103 reviews against a 4.52 state average.
The Origin Building Group works out of Miami, in Miami-Dade County. The domain dates from December 2018. The name is a builder's rather than a pool company's, and the site reflects that: pool work sits alongside wider construction, so if the pool is the whole of your job it is worth asking how much of their current work is pools and who runs that side.
Four pool service lines: new pool construction, renovation, spas and hot tubs, and outdoor living. Seventeen finished projects are on show, enough to judge the standard of finish before calling anyone. What their customers volunteer about the design stage is the more interesting signal — see below — and for a company whose name is about building rather than pools, that is a useful thing to know before you decide who to call.
Miami is the base and the licensed address is in Miami-Dade. They publish no pages for individual towns, so their range is a question to ask rather than something the site answers — greater Miami and Miami-Dade generally are the reasonable assumption. One local number and one email address are published, and the office keeps weekday hours, 8am until 4:30pm, closed at weekends.
A hundred and three people have reviewed them on Google and the average sits at 4.9, which is 0.38 above the 4.52 Florida average — a high score on a high count, the combination that is genuinely hard to hold. The breakdown is the most complete on this list: five separate themes each clear the reporting floor. Nine reviewers name the crew's professionalism, six the workmanship, five the timekeeping, four the communication and four the help with design. Five themes at once means customers are describing the whole job rather than one good moment, and design help appearing at all is unusual — it is the part of a pool project most people find hardest and least often praised. Nothing negative recurred: no complaint theme was raised by even two separate customers, across 103 reviews.

Yes. Florida certified pool contractor license CPC1458417 is on record in the company's name and shows current, held since August 2013. The license covers construction; insurance is separate and no public register shows it, so ask for a certificate before work starts.
Very good, and unusually detailed. They sit at 4.9 from 103 Google reviews, 0.38 above the 4.52 Florida average. Five separate themes clear the floor: professionalism named by nine, workmanship by six, timekeeping by five, communication by four and help with design by four. No complaint theme was raised by even two separate customers across all 103.
Both, and the name tells you where the emphasis sits. Their Florida license is a certified pool contractor license and pool work is on the site — new construction, renovation, spas and hot tubs, outdoor living — alongside wider construction. If your job is only the pool, ask what share of their current work that is and who leads it.
Yes — seventeen finished projects are on the site, enough to judge how they handle decking, coping and waterlines before you call.
