Pool Captain built our pool and we were very happy with them during the entire process. everything was on time and as they said it would be. We have continued to use the for our pool service. Joel is great to work with. He is always on time and communicates with us whenever he services our pool. I highly recommend them!

I have had a very hard time with this company. service and follow through after completing construction of my pool has been horrible. I have been bullied by the manager for requesting help. I was told as a favor to me they installed an overflow open pipe to drain in my walkway. I was initially told it wasn't their fault then they said it was their construction. The overflow leaves large continuous leaking in the middle of my yard/ walkway I was told it's my responsibility to repair. The repair is costing $300 and the manager Joel was very rude and unprofessional and stated "we did you a favor and if you want to fix it You pay for it".. Don't use this company. After promising regular service they said it wouldn't be available for me because they had no space. Don't use this company. It has been costly for me. They bullied me and have not yet responded or resolved this issue. Cynthia

Bravo to POOL CAPTAIN....It has been one week today and the pool gunite shell is complete, all excess dirt removed, ground leveled, complete cleanup, total respect for neighbors property. Thus far an amazing job. Nothing but the best believe me. Plus all of the men including Marc and Joel were amazing. On to the next phase of job. Hooray!!!

Called to get a quote early July. The lady who answered told me the first available appointment was October 1st. I told her we knew exactly what we wanted, since we have previously built a pool, so we don't need an appointment. She told me "October 1st, take it or leave it." If it takes 3 months just to get a quote.....think how long it will take the Captain to build your pool. I went to a competitor of theirs, spoke directly to the owner, and got a quote within days.

We built our pool with Pool Captain 6 years ago and are still very happy with our pool! They are still taking care of the pool service once a week and they do this very professional, especially for us leaving town for several months a year. We never had a problem with them, our water is always crystal clear and whenever we had questions or something extra needed to be done, they responded very quickly!

What a joke! We booked an appointment seven months ago. They never called or showed up for the appointment. I can't imagine what a nightmare it would have been to actually get them to show up for the job if we had hired them. I guess they have way too much business

About Pool Captain Corp

Pool Captain of Palm Coast: licensed since 2007, a thin review record, and the questions that fill the gap. FloridaPoolz.

Who they are

Pool Captain works out of Palm Coast in Flagler County, holding Florida pool contractor license CPC1457452, current since April 2007 and running to August 2028 — nineteen years of continuous licensing. Their domain dates to the same year, so the business and the license have run together throughout. They describe themselves as award winning and family owned; neither appears on any public record, and no award is named or dated on the site.

What they build

New pool construction, renovation, repair and servicing, spas, water features, screen enclosures and outdoor living work. Their remodel page was revised in May 2026, which is where the recent activity sits. No separate area pages are published, so Palm Coast and the surrounding Flagler coast is the working assumption.

What their reviews say

4.2 from 27 Google reviews, against a Florida pool builder average of 4.52 — three tenths below the field, on a modest sample. Twenty-seven reviews for nineteen years of trading is a thin public record, which usually means work came through referral rather than search, so the number understates the volume either way. No praise theme reached the floor of three separate customers.

Worth asking about

Two customers raised build quality as a problem, and it is the only theme that recurred at all. Two out of 27 is a small minority rather than a pattern, but with no offsetting praise theme it is worth taking seriously: ask who does the surfacing and tile work and whether they are employees or subcontractors, and what happens if the finish is not what you agreed. Ask too which award they mean, since the site names none — an unnamed award is not a credential.

4.2 on Google against a state average of 4.52, on 27 reviews. Slightly below the field, on a thin record for nineteen years of trading.

What do customers complain about?

Build quality, raised by two customers. On 27 reviews that is a small minority, though no praise theme reached the reporting floor to offset it.

Are they really award winning?
